  1. I've played WoW for 5 years now, and I can honestly say I am bored of it. However, I still have alot of friends that play it, and I enjoy their company more so than the game itself. My guild in WoW runs two raids; one progression, the other alts and other, less geared mains, so I agreed to run with them. Less stress, more fooling around, and since they are on their alts I can just keep playing with them. The game I really want to play more is SW:TOR, and I recently came back to it after I learned they were finally allowing transfers. The main reason I quit was because my server was dead, and hopefully with this change, I can have fun again. So, anybody else doing the same?
  2. Talking to people is harassing now? Do you understand what the acronym MMO stands for? As for the OP, I've done this for a long time, in SWTOR and WoW before the LFG was put in. Most people are up for doing things, they just don't think "Why don't I do something instead of sitting around on the fleet." Not to mention most just ignore the chat if they're not actively looking for a group. If you bring it to their attention by whispering something simple, they will be more likely to do it.
  3. At the moment, the ship is just an instance with NPCs standing around. I remember in Kotor and Kotor II, you would see interactions between companions. Some of them would get along, others would start arguing. This really made the companions feel more alive and helped with immersion, which seems to be a big topic to most people. One of the small things I loved in Kotor II was how T3-M4 would walk around the ship doing repairs. If the companions in our ships moved around once in a while instead of act as decorative statues, the ships would be much more interesting. So, add companions interacting with each other, and add a simple path for them to walk in. Maybe sometimes they can get food, sleep, whatever. Anything to breath in more life to the game.
  4. For future plans (expansions, or whatever) I have no problem with fewer, larger worlds. However for a start, I think the way they did it is fine. I prefer seeing the many places you hear about in Star Wars over a few larger planets. Not to mention I actually hated leveling in Tattooine. The desert gets old. If I had to spend 1/3 of my time on this planet, I'd probably stop playing.
  5. Well I've been on these forums since 2008 (made an account in 2009) and I do remember what you are talking about. However you have to realize that these decisions aren't always final. Best example is Blizzard repeatedly saying flying mounts would not be available in Azeroth when Burning Crusade came out, and now they are. No suggestion is every truly closed, and if it is raised enough times it will be seriously considered. Unless its something really obscure, and I think a simple night/day cycle is not that radical.
  6. If you look at the healing abilities of some classes, I think it shows the transition from Kolto to Bacta. On my medic trooper, there is the Kolto Bomb, and Bacta Infusion. One has a higher cooldown and is single-target (Bacta Infusion), and the other is an AoE, meaning its more expendable.
  7. I recently started leveling in Taris on my Imperial alt, and noticed how it was night out. It was a great change from the usual look of planets - especially in one like Taris where Republic players, like my main, had to level when it was light out. I realize that it would be silly to have night and day on time with the Earth, but who says they have to be like that? Couldn't each individual planet have their own timers? So if its dark out in Alderaan, it might be light out in Taris, and etc. I really feel that seeing the stars when you look up really, seeing things at night, adds to the aesthetics of the game. Just imagine what Coruscant would look like during night.
  8. I first noticed this when Dorne wanted to talk in private at the ship. I ran back, entered, and suddenly realized Im in outer space. Clearly Dorne values her privacy.
  9. No. I have no problem with the game itself. The only reason why I say no is because I need the faction populations to be balanced before I can really enjoy it. Otherwise, as far as gameplay goes, I think its a fine game and will do fine, or is fine if you're in a decent, active Republic server.
  10. I know queue times in WoW used to be a factor in why people switched factions, so I agree with you.
  11. Couldn't care less. Chances are more people will read it before its locked than another post on one of those threads.
  12. On a side note, on Death Wind Corridor I win more often than I lose on my 50 Trooper. Quality > Quantity in Warzones it seems
  13. Cyborgs are already on Republic, but I really don't see this as solving anything besides offer people more reasons to roll alts. While I havent read up on the patch notes that much, I would assume they're also giving Republic races to Empire, like the Miraluka Which is fine with me, I have no problem with the legacy system. I just don't think it will really do anything to population imbalance.
  14. And just have people ignore it on the 10+ pages of a thread they've read the title of, and then ignored. Thanks for the bump
