  1. Have to admit that I totally missed that this was finally fixed in Patch 7.4.1! 😲 Only took them some 15 months to figure out how to fix it and deploy the fix but at least this one can now be marked as resolved. No idea if our constant reminders about this one being left unfixed for so long finally got them to step up and fix it but hey, at least now it's done! 👍
  2. Patch 7.4b was released last week, but, as expected, this particular bug is STILL NOT FIXED! It's now February 2024, some 14 months since this bug was first reported! Zero response from anyone at either BioWare or Broadsword in those 14 months, other than to say it's being added to the known issues list. Yes, I know there are more important bugs that need to be fixed, but seriously, 14+ months waiting for any bug to be fixed should be utterly unacceptable to everyone!
  3. So now we're in December 2023 and the Large Tooltip bug is STILL NOT FIXED! Seems my comment from back in August was way more accurate than even I thought it was! Coming up on 12 MONTHS since this topic was first created, That means it's 12+ months that the devs have been ignoring reports and complaints about this particular bug!
  4. So now we're in August 2023 and the Large Tooltip bug is still NOT fixed! At this point I'm starting to think that there's nobody on the dev team who even knows how they broke this, let alone actually knows how to even fix it! I doubt this bug will get fixed this year, but that's no surprise really is it! Every tme they fix one bug they create a whole new bunch of bugs! Incompetence, ineptitude and ignorance, the three things that BioWare have become exceedingly good at over recent months!
  5. It's not a good look for them that players have to keep reminding them of unfixed bugs, especially after 6+ months of not being fixed, despite the bug being added to the "Known Issues" list. But it's even worse when, despite our reminders, bugs still remain unfixed! It's the failures of the devs that leave players with no other options and all we can do is keep reminding them that they still need to fix a whole lot of bugs!
  6. Another month goes past and still this bug remains unfixed! The Large Tooltip just looks so utterly fugly when shown on top of the minimap insead of being attached and flowing nicely out of the minimap.
  7. Same issue, though I don't get an instant CTD, I just get a "Star Wars The Old Republic has stopped working" message and then the game shuts down. It's happened multiple times now, always when trying to claim items from several mails, for me it's always when claiming the item from the second mail. Selecting all messages and clicking on the "Get all checked message attachments" seems to avoid this. Sometimes logging right back into the game works fine, but the other day I got a "You have been logged out due to inactivity" message right before the character selection screen appears! I had to exit the game and wait a couple of minutes before logging back in to actually get to the character selection screen. No clue how you get logged out due to inactivity when you aren't actually logged into the game in the first place though!
  8. Not the first time this has happened after a patch! BioWare showing just how incompentent, inept and ignorant they truly are! 🥺 Once again a couple of days after a patch I'm being forced to download the entire patch again! If this keeps happening I'm going to start billing BioWare for excessive use of my internet connection! 🤬
  9. I see no mention of this bug having been fixed in the new 7.3 "Old Wounds" Patch Notes and, once I was able to log ingame I was able to verify that it still has not been fixed! 😲 It's now 7+ months since BioWare broke this, they still haven't gotten around to fixing it. At this point I suspect that not only can they not fix it but they don't actually know how to fix it! They probably don't even know what they did in the first place that resulted in the broken large tooltip! 🤔 Something tells me that this will eventually join the list of bugs that haven't been fixed in 12+ months, at this point I'm giving up on ever seeing this actually get fixed. BioWare is becoming nothing more than a huge disappointment, so many bugs are being left unfixed for so long that new players just think it was always like that or that's the actual default! We get a new patch and that introduces about a hundred new bugs which just pushes all the old bugs even further down the list until eventually those old bugs never, ever get fixed! 🥺
  10. Absolutely agree, it seems that whenever they make so called "improvements" to the UI it just ends up looking uglier and they always break something! As I said way back in December, many players will spend hours in arranging their UI to look just right, But it's a waste of time because at some point BioWare devs are going to make UI changes that will ruin everyone's perfectly arranged UI in one second! The UI used to look fairly clean, crisp and very much functional, but then they started breaking elements up and adding those stupid little bars which just makes things look utterly fugly! Of all the things they actually need to work on improving the UI was the least of their worries! I know that the UI appearance is subjective to each and every individual, I also know that some players seem to actually like these "improvements", but when they break things they should take responsibility and fix what they've broken in a reasonable time-frame. Cartel Market cosmetics that are broken seem to be an almost instant fix, but broken UI elements, nope, those just go to the back of the bug fix queue and stay there while other bugs get slotted into the queue ahead of the UI bugs!
  11. End of April 2023 and this is still not fixed! Though it does seem they did something somewhere because at least now when I set the Large Tooltip with the "Anchor to Mini-map" option it stays like that instead of instantly jumping to the opposite side of the screen when exiting the Interface Editor. But, of course, as soon as I either change location or log out of the game the Large Tooltip instantly resets to the "Anchored to Position" option which is utterly fugly. Either reloading my custom interface or switching to one of the default interfaces and then back to my custom interface sometimes fixes this, but not every time and when that fails to fix the Large Tooltip bug I have to go into the Interface Editor, select the Large Tooltip and once again select the "Anchor to Mini-map" option and then save my custom UI once again! So, 5 MONTHS this has been an issue (so far) and it's still not fixed! But hey, instead of actually working on fixing these "minor" bugs they give us such exciting new content as charging fees for Quick Travel etc! Quite frankyl I'm really starting to think that BioWare are just trying to drive as many players away from the game as possible, that way they then have a legitimate excuse to shut the game down due to declining playing numbers even though those declining player numbers are actually due to BioWare's own constant failures and mistakes! 😲
  12. The problem I'm seeing with the Large Tooltip is that when I select the "Anchor to Mini-map" option in the Interface Editor, save the UI and exit the Interface Editor the Large Tooltip is immediately moved to the opposite side of the screen to where I placed it attached to the Mini-map. If I then open the Interface Editor again the Large Tooltip element has indeed moved to the opposite side of the screen. No changing area, no load screens, no transitions of any kind are needed, I do nothing other than exit the Interface Editor and the game just moves the Large Tooltip as far away from the mini-map as it can! I'll grab some screenshots later and then add them here so that, hopefully, everyone can see what I'm trying to explain,
  13. Well obviously for that to have been noticed there would need to be 100+ players in the planet/instance and you're likely correct that there simply wasn't that many players who tested this new content on the PTS. However, the broken Large Tooltip display really should have been noticed, but maybe nobody ever bothered to try using the "Anchor to Mini-map" option. *shrug* Regardless of what happened on PTS, the Large Tooltip display is now completely broken and you simply cannot use the "Anchor to Mini-map" option because, for some weird reason, the game automatically moves the Large Tooltip to the opposite side of the screen to where the mini-map is actually placed! This results in the Large Tooltip looking fugly because it no longer blends into the overall UI and you have to use the "Anchor to position" option instead! But that results in a large block that just looks out of place and is, quite simply, very fugly to look at! I really don't understand the thinking behind pulling everything out of the mini-map and putting it all on a "new" Utility Bar that is seperate from the mini-map. It was really nice the way it was, but now it's just a fugly mess! I wonder how many players had spent hours getting their own UI layout "just right" and now these new UI changes have simply ruined every players UI layout! It seems that BioWare just cannot stop themselves from messing around with the UI, which was, quite possibly, the one aspect of the game that never really needed any "fixing" until BioWare started screwing around with the UI in Patch 7.0 and they just seem determined to make things worse! The UI changes they made in 7.0 didn't blend in with the existing UI at all, so instead of fixing the new to match the existing they're slowly changing the existing to match the new!
  14. They seem to have completely broken the large tooltip placement. When I select the "Anchor to Mini-map" option and then Save, the large tooltip immediately moves to the opposite side of the screen, not even close to the minimap! No matter what I try, no matter how many times I move the damn thing, it just keeps moving to the opposite side of the screen! Go back into the Interface Editor and the Large Tooltip has indeed moved to the opposite side of the screen, nowhere near to where it's been placed for years! So I have to move it back to where I want it and then Basically the "Anchor to Mini-map" option for the Large Tooltip no longer works correctly. It's broken and apparenrtly nobody noticed this at any time during testing! I've had to re-arrange my entire UI becasue of the new "improvements", particularly due to the two new "Utility Bar" elements! Why did they have to ruin the Mini-map display? There was absolutely nothing wrong with how it was, but now it's messed up and it's broken the Large Tooltip, so now the display of the Large Tooltip is fugly as hell! Anyone else noticed that on Utility Bar 1, where it displays the number of players on your planet/instance the third digit is cut in half because, apparently, a triple digit number is too many digits to display correctly! I've wasted enough time on trying to sort this mess out! BioWare really needs to stop fixing what isn't broken and instead actually fix all the broken stuff. But no, apparently it's more fun to just break more and more things!
  15. I get the impression that BioWare really wants players to purchase the Savanna Vorantikus for a reduced price, makes me wonder just what's wrong with it that they're putting it in the daily flash sale so often lately. 🤔 🤣
