  1. We're trying to bring attention to this issue so that maybe the Devs will actually do something about it. The more people we can get on board the better. You can check out the suggestion post HERE. All help is appreciated!
  2. As an avid fan of this game, I would love to play a Sentinel / Marauder, I've played their counterpart Guardian / Juggernaut, and I know the story is the same, but the gameplay is different utilizing a more damage oriented play style. I am curious if you can play these classes without learning the skills Fury / Centering, for Marauder / Sentinel respectively. If you attempted to play without these skills, how would it affect your ability to combat enemies? I ask this because being "on fire" is not my depiction of a good visual cue, and it really destroys my immersion, making the game unplayable. I understand that you are meant to spend the stacks immediately, however I don't always need to, I may end combat with 30 stacks and no reason to pop the activation, or I may not care that much for what little buff it gives. Thank you for any help you can give me.
  3. First of all, thank you, I actually had no idea about the queues / cues things, it's not a word I use frequently enough. To answer your question of which effects this would affect, there could be multiple settings to satisfy a wider group of people, though it will never be a perfect fix I agree, someone somewhere will still have a grievance with this solution, I suggest having some options. - On (all visual cues on / as it is now) - Off (no visual cues) - Cues Only (no cosmetic character effects, i.e. snowballs during Life Day) - Cosmetic Only (no ability cue effects, but character effects are active) - Bound to Action Bars (effects will only be visible on action bars, as background to the given / activated ability) What about environmental cues? Make them optional as well. - On (the environmental danger is clearly visible, and it interacts with the character visually, i.e. a character running through fire will be set on fire) - Off (the environmental danger is visible, but it does not visually affect the character, [fire example from above] your character will take damage, and receive the "burned" damage de-buff, but will not go up in flames) As far as where to draw the line, you have to set a limit on how many elements you can toggle, however if / when the developers actually make an effort in this area, they could reach out to players and simply ask which effects need to be optional. A live-stream or AMA thread could stand as a platform for outreach, you could even have a dedicated forum category under suggestions. These are just my ideas though, if you or anyone for that matter have better ideas I would gladly work with you to support change in player base - developer interaction.
  4. Okay so my original bump post sounded a bit intense, but I'm just trying to get some attention brought to this very real issue that the developers seemed to have overlooked. What I propose is an option to toggle visual queue effects; on, off, or set to the action bars. On and Off are self explanatory but giving us an option to set queues to the action bars (flashing, strobing, or other indicators on the active abilities) settles as a common ground, you still get visual queues for ability activation, but your character doesn't look like a Life Day tree on fire.
  5. Bump developers, support, literally anyone who can do something about this, the glowing visual queues / effect are ruining the game, please fix this or i can't play anymore. Just make it optional, give us the option.
  6. Dear Dev Team, or to whom it may concern, I love Star Wars the Old Republic, it is my all time favorite MMORPG and my favorite Star Wars game. I've spent the last six and half years, enjoying everything this game has to offer. I've only come across one GLARING issue, and that is "particle effects". I don't actually know if that is what it is, but allow me to explain. When playing a Marauder or Sentinel, pretty early on you get an ability which converts a stack of buff effects into an attack or a temporary boost or something (I honestly don't see a difference, so I'm not sure what it actually does), the point is, it applies an overly obvious and annoying "effect" to your character. It is because of this reason I've never been able to level a Marauder or Sentinel, despite very much wanting to, the "effects" cause eye strain, and it triggers my epilepsy (not in a major way, but it makes the game play experience, unplayable to be perfectly honest). As I said before, I've been playing since the game came out, and I love it, but not being able to experience all the classes has put a damper on things. I was playing my Mercenary today and noticed that there is an ability called Supercharge (same thing as Fury and Centering) only you get it around level 28, so it sneaks in there. All I'm asking for, is that you add an option to turn on/off "buff/debuff particle effects" on characters. Tl;dr: I'm a huge fan, a Veteran of SWTOR, and don't like when my character is on "fire". Thank You for your time and hard work, May the Force be with You! [ Helpful Links ] Graphics option: turn off flashy visual effects
  7. Hello forum, so I recently just got back into playing SWTOR, I have just started playing Shadow of Revan, and I've played before but I have a glaring question to ask. When TF did my trooper find out about Vitiate/Sith Emperor being dead? I played straight through the Story ending, Makeb, and am now entering Shadow of Revan, and nowhere do they mention in the slightest the Sith Emperor's death, I mean shouldn't Saresh have pointed it out after Makeb? Considering it's literally all that matters from this point forward, I think this may be an inexcusably poor example of BW writing. If it comes up later in SoR, like before the main battle or something okay, but if not then I must reiterate .. ***. Thanks May the Force be with You, Always
  8. Hello, I have a super simple question, I'd like if a Dev could let me know asap. Is it possible to erase my account, and start from scratch without losing exclusive things like my "Founder's Title"?
  9. Anywhere that has a quest list by alignment gain? I know the SWTOR Wikia has the potential alignment gains listed in the quest descriptions, but I want to filter a list of quests on planet X to show only the quests that can give me Dark/Light points. Anybody know of a resource that can do this?
  10. Hello. I was wondering if the Dark side / Light side alignment affected the storyline of the Operative. That being said let me be a bit more specific. Does being Light or Dark, really affect the ending? If so in what way? Thank you in advance for all helpful replies!
  11. Due to your responses I have put some thought into my list; here is my revised list of desired things in the next SWTOR Expansion: 1.) Level Cap increase to 60. 2.) New planets (2 or 3). 3.) More open (free-roam style) space exploration and combat systems. 4.) New Classes. 5.) Expanded Class Stories. (Not only extended to level cap, but perhaps a revamp on the entire story system, allowing for choices to hold more effect on the story) 6.) More detailed Story Choices. (A perfect example is going Dark Side in alignment on the Jedi, no one really notices or cares, you just seem like a jerk to your companions.) 7.) Ship customization (aesthetics and functionality, i.e. give us a ship builder, like the character builder.) 8.) More mini-games and ways to have fun in the Star Wars Universe. 9.) Not all of us are experts on the Galactic Trade Market, give us ways to farm credits and alignment points (obviously don't make it easier, just give us more options, I don't know about you guys but I get tired of farming the Black Talon or Esseles for alignment points, and the same FPs for credits and gear.) 10. Cross Faction Defections, Yes, this is still something I want to see. I would love to be a Sith turned Jedi, or vice-versa.
  12. Hello! Just curious as to what everyone wants to see in the next Expansion of the SWTOR Universe. My personal hopes for the next expansion are; - Heightened Level Cap to at least 70 (though they will probably only go in increments of 5 each expansion.) - Expanded Story (Class) quests to level cap, and expanded possibilities. - Specifically for Sith Warrior story - Cross faction defections: Once a character has completed the initial story, they have the option to defect and play through the mirror class quests at Cap Level difficulty. Let me know what you want to see, and tell me what you think about my ideas.
  13. I received a free rename for my main, I want to use it, but I can't come up with a good sounding name, please help. Information about character: A.) She is a Human Sith Juggernaut. B.) She is light aligned. C.) I use the Darth title (so it must work well with the title [i.e. Darth Baras, Darth Marr, Darth Lachris, etc..]) D.) When I RP I tend to be more timid, but when I am needed I can jump in and really take em down (Tank w/ dps). E.) I do not like to Tank, I am far better suited in DPS. (aka : I'm not a very good Tank, lol.) [i apologize for the teams that needed me to role as such. You know who you are.] F.) She wears armor that isn't very flashy or "heavy" looking. Thanks in advance! Don't be afraid to give a suggestion, I will take any and all ideas and work with them.
  14. I do all of the quests on each planet. I generally use 1 or 2 pieces of "orange" gear that I have to mod after each planet. Would you suggest that I go for commendations only so that I can upgrade my mods by planet's end? How do you stay 2 levels above the planets? (do you kill all of the mobs to and from each quest)? I do not have a cybertech trader, I am not exactly sure what you mean by that, sorry. Most importantly how do you stay above the leveling curve? Thanks again.
  15. I have discovered a few things about my "game" that I wish to share with you, and I would like to get your feedback. (A.) I am constantly finding myself to be "under-leveled" for each new planet. (B.) My gear doesn't seem to be as good as it could be. (C.) My stats don't seem to be as good as they should be. (D.) My Health is never even near other players of the same level and class. (in a bad way) (E.) I always forget to do Flashpoints and Warzones. (I would like a way to remember when I should go to the Fleet and do them, if you have an idea.) [ sort of a reference to (A.) ] Thank you again for reading my post, and please give me feedback, be honest, be harsh, just tell me what I am doing wrong.
