  1. Very late to the party of providing feedback - probably too late in reality. However, it occured to me yesterday, while I was theorycrafting for 7.0, that with the Veteran Ranger being a potential legendary in 7.0, there might finally be merit to the shoulder cannon heal utility. However, the final state of the PTS had you choose between Guard Cannon / Cryo Grenade / Hold The Line... This talent tier seems to be extremely unfavoured, since the only real choice to go for is Hold The Line / Hydro Override, when it comes to PvP. Without an on-demand movement boost and slow purge, Vanguard would essentially be the only class in the game that is unable to disengage from a melee fight at will, or, at the very least, the only class unable to purge a slow from itself. Vanguards are already very squishy when tied up, and if we can no longer deal with being slowed, we will have to turn even more to a playstyle of 'fire and forget' akin to 6.x. I feel that Hold The Line / Hydro Override should either be baked into the Vanguard kit by default, or at least not compete with Guard Cannon if the Shoulder Missile build is ever to become viable. Maybe Guard Cannon should be moved to the level 80 tier instead?
  2. Hey everyone. I just got back to the game a month or so ago after mulitple years of hiatus, and I want to apologise if this topic has already been beaten to death since the beginning of 6.0, but I was unable to find updated PvP information. I've noticed a lot of things have changed in the game, but I'm wondering what the "best" stat allocation is for Vengeance Jugg in PvP? I've been experimenting with a 1.3GCD (3206 alac and 1500 crit) and the standard 1.4GCD (1213 Alac and 3500 crit), and I cannot seem to properly conclude which is best in PvP environments (including ranked). My initial findings suggest that the burst window becomes better by having high alacrity, due to dots ticking faster. Yet at the same time, I'm losing out on crit damage and chance, which impacts the burstier abilities such as Hew, Impale, and Slam. In essence, I suppose my real question is whether the high crit is a lot better than the high alacrity. Any suggestions? Thank you in advance!
  3. Mercenaries are fine, it's a brilliant class. Everyone seems to think your damage comes from the 5 stacks of Tracer Missiles, it doesn't. It just adds to it. You got just as much mobility as the other ranged classes. Hell, imagine if you were a Sniper or Gunslinger, then you can talk about being stationary.
  4. EVERYTHING IS BAD RAGE RAGE MY OPINION MATTERS AND ONLY MINE RAGE RAGE. MAP IS BAD 'CAUSE I DON'T LIKE IT RAGE RAGE. This thread just made me laugh. I'm now remembering why I never spend my time on these forums anymore, because there's too many people who's unable to think. Let me break it up... Issues will be fixed in time. The coding of a game like this is so horribly complex, that whenever you change something, you can easily create a bug or an issue. For all we know, the dismount from speeder thing could just be a small error, even more so considering there's no ability delay on any other ability in the game.
  5. I like when some randomer pretends to have any idea on how to run an MMO. Because obviously, we all know that it's a simple and easy process, and everyone can just change anything nonstop. Fixing any of the issues stated of course can't possibly break anything whatsoever, right? ... Right? For the note, it is acceptable. There is no game in existance that has ever been released completely bugfree and/or in a perfect state. If you can't deal with that, maybe you shouldn't play.
  6. Learn to play. Nothing is close to balanced before level 50, when people got equal gear. Marauder is fine, I played in warzones with a Sentinel from my guild and he literally ***** the damage-done chart, and considering I played Gunslinger that was pretty damn impressive. Bounty Hunter is not overpowered for having heavy armor, it's part of their mechanic. It's like arguing that Smuggler/Agent should not have cover, because it effectively makes us dodge hits. Quit the whining, play the game, leave the design to people who have a clue about it. We really don't need this game to become another WoW where every class is nerfed down until they're all boring, because of crying noobs. Play at level 50, get good gear, use all your abilities, spec properly. If you still have problems, submit a proper complaint to BW about why you think A should be changed to B in the context of C and so on.
  7. The idea about it is to keep the Sith in check, because the Sith usually end up screwing themselves over. The idea for Vader to turn Luke to the dark side, was for him to then take Vaders' place as the apprentice. The point is that when the master falls, the apprentice must take over if he/she is proved worthy. Thus ensuring the Sith remain strong.
