  1. No, absolutely not. Look, I get that PvP can be a drag sometimes. Really, I do. But you get 1 point on a loss. That means that the maximum amount of matches you’d have to play for the weekly is 12. Unless you only have like half an hour a day to play SWTOR, that’s easily doable in a week. I’m all for lowering the difficulty bar in a few places, but this isn’t lowering it. This is burying it in the core of the planet.
  2. Hemophiliac Slash is not meant for PvP. It’s a PvE tactical, and it does very well at helping you shred ops bosses. For PvP, you want Cut To Pieces. Vengeance/Vigilance are not DoT specs so much as burst specs with DoT capabilities.
  3. As long as it seems to bother you, I suppose.
  4. Try Ruffian. It’s a lot smoother in PvE while leveling while offering more AoE and heals.
  5. I promise you can find every single decision in every cutscene on YouTube somewhere. Is it your character? No. Do I care? Also no. You are not the star of the flashpoint, and I don’t care about your character’s journey when it comes to a cutscene I’ve experienced a thousand times. At this point, most of us are looking to speed run these things. Unless you’re specifically looking for a cinematic group, it would be best to recognize that when you queue for group finder.
  6. It wouldn’t be a cool addition at all. Have you ever tried to cross draw guns before? It’s slow and awkward and will get you killed in a firefight. Swords have a grip that your hands can naturally follow in a pronated position, while guns do not. If they added this to the game, I promise it would look as terrible.
  7. The problem with that system is that you’d end up with more people just sitting on defense sats in Domination matches soaking up defense medals. Maybe they’ll shoot at some folks to make up the difference in medals, but I guarantee you’ll see a drop in participation. People would probably just leave death matches or keep suiciding to get it over with so they can go back to Domination matches.
  8. Sure. Because there’s no examples in all of Star Wars of non-Force users killing Force users with superior tech or tactics. None at all 🙄
  9. You’re talking about desync, which is an issue with the game, not Operatives/Scoundrels. It happens with literally Amy movement ability. It just feels like it’s more egregious with Operatives/Scoundrels because they roll more often. Otherwise, I’ve pointed this out before, but Operative/Scoundrels got nerfed in 7.0. They’re still viable, but now killing them isn’t some daunting, insurmountable task. If you’re having trouble with them, that speaks more to your deficiencies than to the class’ excess.
  10. Because many people don’t know whether you’re referring to the direction on their mini-map or the direction their character is facing. The two can become conflated, especially in the middle of a battle. Besides, as long as people know what you’re talking about, why does it matter what language you use to call out? And it’s not like most teams actually heed callouts, anyway. I’ll make callouts, but nine times out of ten, I don’t actually expect help to come.
  11. You say that like it’s a bad thing. It doesn’t adversely affect players and it allows a Sin tank to survive a big hit. I see no issue with that in PvE whatsoever.
  12. Pay attention to line of sight and stay close to it. Try not to let your engine energy dip below half at any time during the match. Stay close to your teammates. It’s hard to keep a protorp lock under pressure, and your team can help with that.
  13. He’s not saying remove the lockout entirely. He’s saying that BW needs to figure out a way to differentiate between physically leaving the warzone and getting disconnected due to a faulty connection. Though, to be frank, it wouldn’t matter if they did because players would just turn off their wi-fi or unplug their cables to fake a disconnect. To be even more frank, I’M of the opinion that the lockout needs to go. The purpose of it was to stop people from quitting warzones. It doesn’t do that effectively. Even worse, it forces people to stay in losing games. When that happens, you get way more players going AFK in a corner or on a node somewhere. I’d rather have someone leave and get a backfill than be stuck with AFK dead weight. I’m sorry that you’ve seen guilds of people who leave warzones to give their friends an advantage. But I’ve seen people stay in warzones and actively sabotage their team to do the same thing. Trolls will be trolls regardless of the lockout, so why punish people like OP for accidental disconnects? Of course, matchmaker issues, class imbalances, desync, and general toxicity all contribute to the problem. But there are enough posts about that in this forum to create an entire dissertation.
  14. 1. You can farm world bosses pretty easily. There are constantly groups looking to farm Nar Shaddaa or Coruscant world bosses. In addition, the weekly mission ‘Priority Targets’ gives you 20 Daily Matrices for killing 4 world bosses. 2. Heroics are also a great source for Daily Resource Matrices. Completing the weekly heroic missions in each planet will also give 20 matrices per completion. I suggest using a stealth toon to cheese some of these missions and make them go faster. 3. Grade 11 Treasure Hunting lockboxes give you 5 matrices upon opening. Those are the easiest and fastest ways of getting Daily Resource Matrices that I can think of.
  15. That’s valid. I think the issue with adding more visual cues is that it could get distracting. If you put it somewhere out of the way, it may go unnoticed. If you put in the middle of the screen or use flytext, you risk obscuring the pilot’s vision or distracting them. The game just needs to do a better job of pointing out the cues, among other fundamental aspects that GSF’s tutorial is woefully unequipped to cover.
