  1. I'm 48 year old accountant and love my computer games. In high school we had an Apple 1a (I think that was it's designation). At that time, you programmed code for games published in a magazine. Three of four of us took turns at lunch and after school typing the code so we could play "make your own adventure" game. It took us bout 3 months. the funny thing is, we could never get past the first encounter. No matter what our decision, we all died. I think one of us must have punched in a wrong number. At that point I was pretty much hooked on computers. After college, got a Tandy 1, and later started putting together my own rigs. Now, I'm too old to be bothered with the details of the build. Let the youngsters take care of that for me. I just want to play my games in peace. I currently play on The Harbringer (sp?) Server.
  2. I like your attitude. My husband and I have been married nearly 15 years. He enjoys cars, movies, and anime. I am the gamer of the family. My husband and I both respect each others hobbies and give each other the time to enjoy them. The key is to love and respect someone for who they are, not who you think they should be. I made that mistake in my first marriage and will never go there again (my first was also a bit of a d****).
  3. Well fat is relative. I'm 5'2" and have lost three sizes over the last two years (well into my fourth size loss), but the scale at the doctor' office still says I weigh 190lbs. I think these electronic scales simply do not like me. That and I love to weight train. Muscle weighs a lot more than fat. Edit: Currently a size 12.
  4. I'm kind of curious what this evening's play will be like. I was lucky and got in yesterday. The jedi starter area was sparsely populated compared to the Thanksgiving beta. However, it was very nice not having to camp a spot and wait for mobs to respawn. Plus absolutely no server ques. My friend and I leveled to 9 last night and will finish the 2 man heroic before moving on to Coruscant. If your estimates are correct, I should see almost double the population this evening. I will say that this is much better than the wow beta. I remember waiting in line for about 15 minutes for wolf pups to spawn in a starter area and this was several days after launch. It does kind of blow that the rest of my guild will not level with my main, but I will probably level an alt once I hit 15 so they can catch up. Overall despite its drawbacks I think this is pretty good launch.
  5. I got an hour at lunch. Only two more hours! I think I'll get take out on my way home.
  6. Okay you two, let's do a time out. Take a deep breath and try and be respectfully on topic.
  7. Sweet! Space Slug is for Ordo Malleus (my guild) as well. I also got my invite today. I'll be logging in at lunch to make sure things go smoothly for import. I hope to see ya around. Just as an FYI, I'll be starting a Twi'lek JC. Edit: If you're going to be in the Jedi starting area this evening look me up. We can party for quests and such.
  8. I'm a girl and I got in! As the for the skirt thing, I have a mean left hook.
  9. I actually had a chat with one of my guildies yesterday about this very topic. Those of us who have very early access will probably level our mains until 15 and then start alts to wait for the rest of the guild to catch up at least during early access. Since the first flash point is not available until level 10, this makes the most sense. And, if we level more, then that's okay too. I still remember when I started LII (back in the day). I was at least 15 levels below my friends. They would take time out of their leveling to help me when needed or would spot a a healer to help me push through mobs. This is how a guild should work. As a guild leader, I will not restrict my members to level caps just so that everyone can be the same level. Plus, not everyone will be able to put as much time into the game as others. I have on guildie who is a teacher. He will get two weeks of full time play while the rest of us will have to work. I have another guildie who works for PG&E and is often on call on the weekends. He will not level nearly as fast as the rest of us. This is simply the nature of the MMO's, and complaining about this will not change a MMO's fundamental nature.
  10. Game was available for pre-order July 21, 2011. If you're going to troll, please get your facts straight.
  11. Entered my code on July 22 and got my email this morning at 6:14am. Unfortunately, I'm at work until 4:00PM.
  12. Mountain View, CA Up for a glass of water, but no joy in my in box. Oh, well time for another hour of shut eye.
