  1. I'd wager that most folks can tell which side will win a match just based on the makeup of the classes on the teams. Oh, maybe you wont be right all the time, but you can guess it better than 70% of the time. Fanboi it all you want, but I'd think thats a pretty fair statement and pretty damning of the state of the game. You'll have to excuse me, I'm just so bitter that I paid for three months out of the gate. CE and everything...200 bucks down the tubes.
  2. So according to everyone defending the class.. GS/Snip should 1) only be viable in a group 2) only queue for WZ with a healer 3) never engage another class one on one 4) Hide in the mass of other characters on Ilum 5) Never expect to kill another player, just switch targets constantly 6) realize that lack of mobility and lack of escape are 'features' of the class 7) be a pure DPS class in medium armor with less DPS than heavy armor classes and classes that can cast heals 8) Learn to play What other class would you say this about? What other class has the liabilities of the GS/Snip? What are the benefits of the class that other classes don't enjoy? Please include the biggest selling point -- the wonderful 5m range difference. I'm very curious in the benefits of being a GS/Snip over any other class. Please enlighten me.
  3. Thing is, Bioware simply needs to have someone respond daily to topics. What customer service decides "You may ask me three questions and I'll pick the one that I want to answer." Even "We're not sure" is better than the daily silence that goes on.
  4. All this back and forth on class imbalance and PvP, the delay not fixed and everything else under the sun. and there is no bioware response to anything..... Are there 4 of you guys in room without internet? Can anyone there type? Can you respond to ANY of the issues? Not some glib crap from the CEO, he might be big and powerful to you, but he's nobody to me. I need a community voice on more issues than a once in a blue moon voice from above. TALK. SAY SOMETHING. Tell us we're wrong... Tell us we're right.... Tell us that you're at least aware!
  5. Look, I don’t want to come across as whining here. Just pointing out that I’m frustrated to the point of quitting the game, and I wanted to point out why. I so very much wanted this game to work out for me. I really did. I bought the collector’s edition and everything, put my money out there to back the company. But it’s just fundamentally broken. The engine that you used to develop with can’t handle the server/client interaction. The game is unplayable from a PvP perspective. I know that you say you’ve fixed it….and that scores will come out and say how “Oh yes, it’s so much better”. From my perspective, it’s not improved at all. See, I play the AC Gunslinger, and it’s just painful to play in PvP. The imbalance between classes (Which is huge) isn’t even what I’m talking about. It’s the design of the whole thing. Cover, wow, what a disaster cover has been. It doesn’t work all the time, if you’re standing in the wrong spot, you can’t go to cover. It’s another key press before you can use abilities, for some reason I cannot fathom. Most abilities can’t be used out of cover, which means you’re a stationary target. It suffers from sporadic delays between server and client, leaving you for even longer doing nothing as the animation gets to activating. Whatever….it’s just poor design. I can press a button for 5-10 seconds without it doing anything….and it’s certain abilities that this happens to .. specifically “pulse detonator”, the ability to knock folks away from you. So the one ability that you need to go off right when you press it, just fizzles half the time. This happened multiple times tonight – after this “fix” that I haven’t seen. Animations are longer than the ability, more shotty design. So you attempt to do something and you can’t because the animation has to finish before your able to do anything else. Some classes, mostly Imperial, have damage that ignores armor from my understanding (fire, lightning), while all of my damage is tied to physical, which is the only type that uses armor and it just doesn’t make a whole lot of sense. The entire concept of a DPS class doesn’t fit the Bioware concept. For one reason, healers and tanks can do the same or more damage that a pure DPS class. So what would be the point of selecting an AC that doesn’t have heals or can tank or have heavy armor? Where is the benefit for those AC’s? It seems that you’re only limiting yourself more if you select a pure DPS AC. More bad design. You made a nice single player game, but ignored many of the concepts of a MMO. I mean, I really got a kick outta playing KoToR 3 in essence, but after that you must have known that folks were going to do PvP, but there was no effort to balance it at all. And you totally didn’t think through so many aspects of the PvP game that I have to wonder why. Ilum? Really? The worst part of the whole thing is, I feel like there’s no communication at all. I’m sure you guys feel like letters from the CEO mean something to me. But I don’t care about that guy at all. I need someone that posts, that says “Hey, I see this issue too, let me run that up the chain” or “We looked into X and we don’t feel the same way as you do”. I would like to have someone responding to questions that are posed here. What we get it forum PvP, where this group complains about that group. When it comes to imbalance and bugs, only Bioware has the true numbers to let us know what the heck is going on so it’s not so much speculation. You, Bioware, are losing me…a guy that put money in the till that he didn’t need to in order to support what you were doing. I was a fanboi. You’re losing me.
  6. "You decide what changes we make." Hummmmm, since release, there have been founded and unfounded complaints about the gunslinger. But there hasn't been a single response to any of the issues raised. If they're unfounded, please let us know. If you dont see an issue with how cover turned out, let us know. How certain skills just flat out dont work (headshot in PvP) The crazy lag issues with cover and ablities, the problems with cooldown indicators showing improperly, other little things. I mean not even getting into the comparisons between us and other classes -- but that would be fun too. I'm looking at a response here on the forums, is that the wrong place?

After hitting level 50, with all the frustration of corso dying just about every pull during the later levels, (Would a single companion heal be that much to ask?) the PvP using the sharpshooting spec (dark days indeed), I just look around and think "Is the grass really greener with every other class?" I'm DF right now, with every slot purple PvP gear, and I hold my own. But any class that can heal will kill me one on one. (given equal gear), If I try to pour it on, I'll run out of energy pretty quick and then it's over. I never use cover at all, it's pointless. Every skill that requires you to be in cover might as well not exist in PvP. Movement is life, and anyone who tells you different is pulling your leg. Being snared is a bad thing in PvP, it often means death. My class makes me self snare....? then as a benefit gives me the same defensive stats of any class in heavy armor that isn’t snared? Really? Ok, I got the whole glass cannon thing, i give up survivability for DPS. The only thing is, no other class gives up anything for DPS. I gave up healing and invisibility for DPS. but it turns out that I gave up DPS, invis and healing for .... 30% offhand dps. If I was this monster cannon, something people feared on the PvP battlefield, I could see that I have the least survivability of ANY class in the game. But I'm not. I’m the 50 that all other classes can kill without being 50 yet because I’m the squishiest. I've alot invested in the toon and I'm not prepared to level another character. But if I could be a scoundrel, Id make the switch in a heartbeat. I wish i knew more about the class, to make this type of choice at level 10 for the rest of the characters life? Bah, it makes me sad to think what I gave up.
