  1. My advice would be for you to join a guild. I'm sure you'll be able to find a friendly guild that won't mind you asking questions in the guild chat & helping you out with quests. I've been playing since the start and I'm still coming up with noob questions.
  2. I'm not sure but I think you have to max out HK's affection to unlock him for all characters.
  3. Hi Snaloe, I belong to the 'Alliance Templars'. We're a friendly bunch of casual PvE gamers although I am trying to encourage other guildees to team up for some PvPing. We usually run 2 or 3 ops a week but there's never any requirement to participate. We use a Team Speak server and we encourage members to join in even it's just listening in to the ops chat. If your interested check out our web site http://alliancetemplar.guildlaunch.com. And you're quite welcome to join us for a bit and join us in an op just to see how it goes. PM me or sign up to the website.
  4. Count me in. The last one you did on Hydian way was cool, this one should be even better

  6. I visited this site and clicked on the ‘Overall’ > ‘Damage’ to check out other DPS stats, the biggest hitter is a gunslinger doing 4357.64 over 3 minutes How the F do you do that sort of damage? Or have people been doctoring their combat log before uploading?
  7. Thanks for the advice. When you guys have got a parser recording your DPS. Do you take an average over 'x' many fights or take an average over 'x' minutes on a training dummy? I've been trying a DF spec on a training dummy, but combat doesn't finish until all DOTs have ended, and if im sat there waiting for them to finish it brings the DPS down. So is there a way of getting round this?
  8. Without getting bogged down in the details of skill trees and gear builds and stats. What would be considered to be a respectable DPS output (1000?, 1500?) say for a typical gunslinger with BH gear? I'd like to know whether the results I'm getting are Ok or not. If my gear/stats is roughly the same as everyone else fine and it's just me not getting my rotation right for sustained DPS. I've been testing on an OPS training dummy on my ship whilst running the MOX desktop Parser.
  9. I know there are plenty of programmes/parsers already that can de-cypher the combat log into something useful. My question is, if I wanted to create my own parser is there any documentation that tells me how to make sense of the combat log? How does one begin to understand what all those digits represent [speed Shot {807264873086976}] [Event {836045448945472}: AbilityActivate {836045448945479}] ()
  10. I've also been looking for a solution for my G13. I would think it's possible for anyone to create some sort of LCD output now that the combat log is available. I'd have ago myself but it would probably take me a year and a day to de-cypher the combat log & and the same time again to code something. And I'd hate to spend all that time creating something then Bioware say it's not allowed .
  11. I've had problems as well but I had the profile looking at the wrong executable. It pointed it to ... \Program Files\Electronic Arts\BioWare\Star Wars-The Old Republic\swtor\retailclient\swtor.exe ...instead of launcher.exe
