Zamak
  3. I have 31 with my sin (without counting buffs, sprint, speeder, etc...) and a couple of them are grouped into macro which would make a total of 36. I use them all

We should meet ! Finally a smuggler whose favorite combination is not Flash Grenade + Vanish.

    Vanish exploit

This guide has been made for you mate... It's using a bh but the same principle applies. Can't do anything for 4s if you can't use grav round . Are you implying you are one of these trooper / bh who only use one button ?
  6. Hi, I wonder if other people were as surprise as me to read this from Daniel Erickson in the latest QA: From what I can see on the #1 PVP server of my country: + all the big pvp guilds have lost 2/3 of their active members + the largest republic guild has moved on to another MMO + queue times for warzone increases + people limit their ilum time to rank farming with buff macro or daily quests So I will have to admit that the 3 warzone are quite cool but the reward system and the open pvp are widely criticised and a disaster (not mentionning the lack of testing). So I would like to know, what Bioware expectation initially was; if they can be pleasantly surprise at such criticism towards PVP in SWTOR
  7. Lots of good ideas there BUT not manageable... Too big a change would be like accepting and publicly recognising the failure of ilum and the absolute noobness of the developers and no one wants that. Alright, I ll admit that the errors made point heavily to that direction but there is a gap between making errors and publicly recognising them... So no, no map shape change - Ilum is there we have to live with it. Now what can effectively made to step by step, make our gamer life better and SWTOR a successful game. I'd say 1./ remove respawn points on Ilum _ yeah make people pain and sweat to come back to the republic base instead of rushing mindllessly again and again and again. 2./ divide valor earned within a group. 1 kill solo for 200 then, 2 group of 10 killing the guy means 10 valor per head ! Yeah 3./ don t create a 4th tier of stuff - the 3 we have are fine but add a reward for high rank, like new abilities usable only in PVP for each new rank or 1 extra talent point for each new rank - there you motivate people 4./ Put conquerable small outposts across ilum, with defendable positions which give a local advantage such as being able to see all ennemy move on your map... and give the guilds a chance to advertise their name on it Things like this
  8. I think it would be wise to review this process. I won't mention this week's of Ilium, the absence of regression testing between builds or the obvious bugs on EV... Let's be honest this statement has little credibility for anyone playing the game right now. nevertheless, I understand your problem, I am a IT Project Manager and I do know that fully testing an application is impossibly expensive and absolutely impossible - so I can live with that I used to be a great supporter of you Georg - since you were always switched on, responsive, etc... during the beta. Now I agree it is easier to share 1 Georg between 1000 testers rather than between 1M players but I had confidence in you, your test data, your announcements etc... I am really disappointed. I was reading your comment about the marauder in this post and it shocks me to read what your main concern is. Having classes dificult to play (assassin, marauder,...) or easy to play (1 button mercenary) should not be a concern for you as this is a MMO - there IS a learning curve for each class and people WILL either love the complex gameplay and improve OR hate it and find a class more suitable for their purposes. However instead of trying to dumb down classes to the extreme, why not address CRITICAL imbalances that this games constantly throw to the face to everyone instead of trying to fix what is currently nice in the game - the fact that there are multiple types of gameplay available for different people. One of the critical imbalance that you have right now is that some classes are stuff dependant whilst other aren't. It is simple as that. Of course, when you throw some players in a melee, you always have a happy side and an unhappy side. In the greater randomness of the game, where people stuff are fighting people unstuff, this happyness / unhappiness factor will be more or less balanced with no more than a couple of nerf threads on a forum - so for a while this can be lived with. But what happens when people start touching endgame stuff (accelerated by the recent illium exploit). Then you cry - At this point, players know their class a minimum to play it decently. So what will happen is that a class depend stuff in BM gear will ALWAYS be steamrolled by a less class depend stuff. This creates frustration, more angry threads, reroll, class restrictions in groups, class number imbalance etc.. etc... things far more worrying that taking away the enjoyment of learning. For example, at the very early stage of the game, one of my marauder mate spent all his bg NAKED, wearing no armor but just the implants & weapons. This never prevented him from fighting on par and gaining the advantage on other players of the same level. As a contrary, an assassin would need to have some some stuff of that level to get the same results. Now at endgame, a BM gear marauder in rage spec is an immortal killing machine which can be match by only a very limited number of classes in the same situation (burst agent or madness inquisitor or powertech bh) but all the other classes are just pointless to play against it. And you are talking about making it EASIER to play... I say ignore these testers, start playing the game against good players, understand your mistake, and start again.
  9. I for one would like to understand the steps taken by BW to address this. Not abusing this bug puts me at a disavantage to the hundreds of people who did. Even to the people who only farmed it a bit. Current answer from BW seems to me like: + Let's ban the few people who abused it for hours + Let's ignore the 100s who just abused it for 30-50K valor + Let's laugh at those who decided not to abuse it. Same for those who exploited the 3rd boss of EV by doing it again and again and again in HM at the release (it was bugged and was farmable). Some large guilds pop out with ALL their members in pants T3 rakata or stuff modded 58... I know some people who abused it a lot, I know some people who abused it a bit and I know of v 1.1a exploit that could allow me to farm lvl 58 mods right now without breaking a sweat. If no action is taken - I will start abusing too because I don't like being laughed at. EDIT: Oh and before I get court martialled for poor choice of words due to being non native english - the above is not just me throwin in a tantrum, but merely the reflexion that any honest player / guild are considering.
  10. You are missing a few ones: + In 16 mode sometimes the green dot areas in P1 are invisible to some players .... + Sometimes you will arrive in P3 and a mind trap will already be there (while all your group is healthily jumping down the platforms). This will result in one of the members of the group to be instantly snatched into that extra mind trap at the beginning of P3. This wouldn't be so bad if when you destroy the mind trap, the one inside get teleported in another instance of EV... I think this is happenning when more than 100 players are in EV and there is an EV1 and EV2 on-going. Other than that, as a fellow assassin whose main purpose is to freely roam after lightning balls, I would suggest that you turn nameplates on for every npc - this has solved my problem of invisible balls as their name stays on.
  11. Gharj didn't drop anything in NM last week, rest was mixed loot HM/NM. This week we only did it in HM because we were only 7.
  12. Well 1./ this game was mainly designed for the US, this was crystal clear from the begining, translations suck badly, europe was never really considered in the beta and you should read some french gms - my 5 yr old nephew can probably write in a better french - and 2./ this is another incentive to give bioware some kudos - go buy their optimised naga and keyboard to cope with your local issues and the absence of macros. To come back to the topic and just to be clear with the future readers - I do not actually believe there is any truth in the GM statement. Especially when I highlight that their solution is to bring more people to the quest... Where I am naive however is in my hope to trigger any kind of official dev answer with it...
  13. Well some of the tanks can respec for some encounters BT, SOA, etc... but the main problem is them having to stack 2 sets of gear - which if you are unlucky with drops can be a real problem due to the lockouts. Otherwise agree with the OP - especially since some HP flashpoint can be done easily enough with 3 DPS & 1 Healer - why would you want to use a tank then ? On the contrary, in huttball... team of tank+healer = win Game is broken
  14. SOA HM It has some bugs in it (pillars that send you to a different instance of EV...) but it is do-able in HM. Requires good gear, good reactivity & awareness, a bit of luck, the right classes & well timed dps. Probably a bit too hard for a large public audience such as swtor hence the 1.1 nerf coming but not impossible BT HM Doable too with 5 well stuffed DPS and 2 heals (we aint replace our beloved tank for this encounter) but requires constant kiting (enrage can be kited a bit) - 6 DPS / 2 heals - always keep him between the acid and you.
