  1. If you are a GeForce Experience member it means you have an nVidia account. There isn't a separate account for GeForce Experience. If you don't have GeForce Experience installed, however, you won't be able to access the code because it's distributed through GeForce Experience. But it's likely that codes were sent out to random people with an nVidia account (regardless of whether or not they currently have GeForce Experience installed), and that a code could be sitting in the notifications tab even if you install it and log in now, as long as you created an account before the deadline. I mean, I don't know if that's the case, but it doesn't seem like an unreasonable assumption. In any case, my point is that the vast majority of codes were sent to people who don't play SWTOR.
  2. Another thing to consider is that these codes are being randomly sent to people who have an iNVIDIA account, not just SWTOR players who have GeForce Experience installed. The vast majority of codes are being sent to people who have no interest in SWTOR and may not even have GeForce Experience installed in order to claim them. That seems like an odd promotion for unique items, so I would imagine that they plan to offer the armor set and vehicle through the Cartel Shop, as well, after the deadline for claiming the promotional items is over.
  3. That's not a giveaway for the Destiny 2 beta. It's a screenshot showing how to tell if you have a giveaway: i.e. open the notification window. Destiny 2 has been out for the PC since October.
  4. D'oh. Sorry. That was my mistake - I was confusing the token and month's sub with the United Forces Premium Pack for some reason. FWIW, on the GeForce Experience Giveaway homepage for the SWTOR giveaway (which is still up) it says: On the same page, it says that previous giveaways included a GeForce GTX1080 Ti and GeForce USB.
  5. While they screwed up by not clarifying anything on their homepage (EDIT: actually. they did - it's on the same page that mentions the giveaway), the giveaway was clarified in both the SWTOR and nVIDIA forums, and on the SWTOR main site and game log-in screen, as well as on facebook and twitter (for SWTOR and nVIDIA). And, let's face it, the vast majority of people who would be interested in this (and I imagine this includes you, as well) learned about it through SWTOR, not the nVIDIA homepage. Also, it's not like anyone paid for a chance, or went out an bought an nVIDIA video card just for this. To say that "by rights" they owe everyone who uses GEFORCE Experience a level 65 character boost and in-game swag is a stretch. EDIT: Oops. Not a month's sub and level 70 boost as I originally wrote.
  6. Thanks! This worked for me for the token I bought on the Cartel Market (I had bought it before the merge as well). I still haven't received the one from the United Forces Premium Pack. I would assume that the caveat (limit one free token per subscribed SWTOR account) only applies to ordering additional Premium Packs, since ordering KOTET and KOTFE gave us 2 tokens. Hopefully they'll get back to me soon on my ticket.
  7. I'm having the same problem. I bought a token from the Cartel Market. I can claim it on a character and use it, but when I log out there's no option on the character selection screen to use it, and when I log back in, it's in Unclaimed Items in the Cartel Market. I also bought the United Forces Premium Pack and that Character Booster Token isn't showing up either.
  8. I lost one name out of 18, but it was a character I was planning on name-changing anyway, and the placeholder name wasn't taken - so, that's pretty much a bonus for me.
  9. It would be great if you could romance Senya and taunt the Emperor about it. Not sure if that would get him out of my head or keep him around longer, though.
  10. I actually did follow that quest chain (female BH) a while back but I only got Torian's affection to level 2 or so (with gifts) so I don;t know if it goes further than that, but when I came back after 4.0 to finish the companion stories before doing the expansion, suddenly Torian is in love with my character and I don't have the option to not be in a relationship with him.
  11. Hmm. I just started playing again today (female Merc, played from 1 to 60) and got that mission in my log as well. But that's not the only odd romance-related bug on that character: a conversation with Torian starts with him saying "I'm in love with you" and my only response options are romantic ones, even though I've never picked any of the flirting options with Torian.
  12. You know what else is a first world problem? A pathological need to troll online forums. Seriously, don't you have anything better to do with your time?
  13. I got my main's name back (using the free character rename). I had to rename 3 of my characters when originally transferring from Krayt Dragon to The Shadowlands, and a lvl 15 Powertech had been sitting on the name since then. The other 2 character names were still taken, but I had gotten used to their new names, which were completely different. For my main, I had just used an alternate spelling and it never felt right.
  14. How is anyone missing that, when people keep posting it in every other thread? We get it. You just learned about it from Dawginole's thread, and you want to jump on the bandwagon. No, the part that the very vocal minority is missing is that we've known all along that there were things in the Cartel Market that weren't going to be covered as part of the subscription. There were discussions about it on the forums for months before F2P launched. Nobody was taken by surprise. No. Makeb isn't a game update, it's a digital expansion. A game update adds content, but not levels. Section X is a game update, as are events like the Gree and Rakghoul events. Cathar and Character Customizations are customizations - exactly the kind of thing the Cartel Market was created to cover. While one might disagree about whether or not these should be free to subscribers (and I would agree with you that some of the customizations should be), they didn't lie about how they would be made available. This is from the same blog entry as the quote that's been repeated out of context and ad nauseam in these forums since Patch 2.1: The blog was written for subscribers, the whole paragraph that the above quote was taken from was about how the Cartel Market applied to subscribers. We were told, in the same article, that some things would be available through the Cartel Market that weren't available via subscription. And, like I said before, people were talking about that very thing on the forums for months before F2P launched, so if the blog wasn't clear enough, it was made clear on the forums. One only need to look at the features comparison matrix to see what subscribers have access to vis a vis F2P and Preferred players. There's nothing about expansions or character customizations there. This was also talked about on the forums, as well. If you don't believe me, there's always this from Dulfy's interview with Damion Schubert, posted on November 16: So, no. Most people are not missing anything. Stop pretending that any of this came as a complete surprise and is some kind of "slap in the face" to subscribers.
  15. How are you being nickeled-and-dimed with currency you are given as a subscriber specifically for buying options on the Cartel Market? F2P players may be being nickeled -and-dimed, but subscribers aren't. You may not be able to get everything you want from the Cartel Market all at once, but you can't do that with credits or by running ops either. And unlike things bought with credits or gained through running ops, all you need to do to purchase what you want off the Cartel Market is wait. Patch 2.2 is coming soon and we've been told it has no Cartel Market features. It's amusing how people can be well aware of something posted almost a year ago by the devs if it's something they can use against BioWare, but be completely unaware of something posted by the devs the same month if it can't. Well, of course, if Patch 2.2 has any Cartel Market items, whatsoever, then they'll remember the post and the pitchforks will be out.
