  1. Any chance bioware has plans to update character models and armor textures and the like, add high res textures or anything, at least up to kotfe standards? The closer you get to your character, the less detailed they are, and that's just a horrible design choice in a game where every conversation gives you close ups of your character. I know graphics aren't a huge priority at bioware for this game, but surely they can do better than this. Take the eradicator's warsuit for example. The robes look glossy or shiny, and the armor underneath is a basic texture that looks blurry and low res in every conversation.
  2. I know you guys are mostly talking about pvp, but i'm finding my vanguard tank to be very weak in pve as well. Comparing it to my guardian, I have half the defensive cd's and none of the offense. I have played various iterations of the vanguard, starting at launch to now, and can state that vanguard in 5.0 is easily the worst it's ever been. On my guardian, I can jump into a group of difficult enemies and be reasonably confident i'm going to win. While it doesn't compare to a dps class, he can also deal out enough damage that even without a companion, things die in a reasonable amount of time. His cd's are useful in several situations, and when I use one or two, they actually make a difference. Now for my vanguard.. his damage is horrible. I understand that he's a tank and shouldn't be as concerned with dps, but I am completely dependent on my companion for damage. It was fine in the lower levels, but at 70 it's just ridiculous. The only defensive cd's I have are riot gas, adrenaline rush and reactive shield, which don't make much of a difference when I actually need them. Battle Focus is now offensive based. I enjoy the concept of vanguard. In a world full of jedi and sith, I liked being just another trooper. But try as I might, I can't get into it this time. It's too weak all around.
  3. I occasionally get a stuttering issue when in fullscreen, but switching to windowed full screen fixes it for me.
  4. Yeah, That's all I could find when I googled it. Problem is, it seems to stay on low no matter what. Especially in cutscenes. I've messed with my settings, tried Nvidia's optimized settings, tried pretty much every solution I could find to any texture problem on google. No luck so far.
  5. I used to play a few years ago, greatly enjoyed the game. I started again a couple of days ago, but for some reason the armor textures feel off. I know it was never the best looking game, but when close up, especially in conversations, my characters armor looks incredibly low res. Maybe that's just how it is in the game, but i'd like to get a confirmation on that before I give up trying to fix it.   6. I'm returning to the game after a couple of years. I used to have the security key app on an old phone, so I had to use the one-time removal password to log into my account and remove the old security key. Now i'm trying to add another. The mobile security key app is asking for an activation code which I can't seem to find, and swtor is asking for the serial number which I can't seem to get without an activation code. I set it up without a problem before, dunno what i'm missing now. If anyone has the answer, i'd appreciate it.
  7. Same, not yet fixed. Affection is maxed at 10k, and i'm level 36. Very disappointing, I don't know if it was only fixed for new characters or ones that haven't made the specific decision yet, but if that's the case, Please be more specific in your patch notes from now on, Bioware.
  8. Yeah, my Guardian is 36, just finished Act 1 before I found out about the bug and stopped playing him. Very happy I can continue, I just hope that I didn't miss anything at the act 1 ending by not having done her story up to that point.
  9. Woohoo! Just checked the patch notes, mentions the Kira bug and says it's fixed. Finally able to play my JK again! Thanks, Bioware, for not shoving this on the back burner for a while.
  10. Can we get an update on the fix from a dev? Would like to know if I can expect it within a week or so or if it's going to be a few months.

The only way I could see to avoid this is if access to a server was cut off after the population reached 'full' status, meaning new accounts wouldn't beable to access and create characters on that server until the population started to drop. Would suck for friends who couldn't get on the same server as their friends, but they have the option to remake on different servers, and would keep the populations on servers balanced and avoid making people wait.
  12. Yeah, and my wait time just went up even more lol. Can only imagine what it's going to be like on the 20th. Still not seeing the point of the staggered launch if it's like this
  13. lol, I thought the whole point of this staggered launch was to help avoid things like queues and server overloads, yet every server I see is at heavy or full population. I thought they were adding new servers today, and they did.. just not any for my region, and as a result i'm stuck in a 20+ minute queue that I was made to wait two days to avoid.
  14. I think a better pre-order option crystal-wise would be to just let you choose from a few. You could choose from some of the semi-rare crystal options like purple or orange, but not from the very rare ones like white. This lets everyone get a crystal they like, without everyone using one color because it's a special crystal. As for the issue of black sabers, i'm not a big fan of them.. but they do have white, so i can't see why they wouldn't add it eventually.
  15. woohoo! go team! ...er... wait... but.... Anyhow, i'm excited. Too excited to sleep apparently, as i've been in bed for over an hour without falling asleep, so chances are by the time 9am est rolls around, i'm gonna be out of it, half asleep sitting here and fall asleep during character creation
