  1. I've only just un-sub'd 1/ Lack of things to do at level 50. My number 1 reason to quit is finding there to be no motivation to continue to repeat the same content every day/week. After doing daily's for 50+ days you really wish the Empire would make an early prototype Death Star and just blow the planet up. Likewise, once fully geared from Ops, having completed them all on each available difficulty they quickly become boring. 2/ The carrot on a string approach to new content. We keep seeing these videos and screenshots of all this awesome new stuff and are told it's coming very soon and then they just leave us hanging for months. 3/ They break something every time they try to fix something. Content is regularly unplayable due the the latest patch having broken some vital game mechanic. 4/ The poor crafting system. Crafting in this game is not only boring, it's virtually of no use what-so-ever. The only good thing about the crafting system is the use of companions to perform the gathering and crafting. Crafting should enrich the games economy with all crafting specs being able to make desirable items. 5/ The lack of uniqueness. I would've liked to have seen some extremely rare/unique type objects other then the pets available in the game. Ultimately everyone of the same class type ends up the same...same set bonus, same numerical stats. There's nothing in the game to make your char feel special. There's no wow (not World of Warcraft, but actual "wow that's awesome!") factor.
  2. This all came within the first 4 months of the games release. I can not complain, nor was my post intended to imply that i was unhappy with that initial release of content. It was both timely and enjoyable. I edited my post for clarity. My problem is with the last 4 months. We have been promised content that as yet, has still not been delivered. Back in April when the last true content addition was made to the game, we were assured that new content would be released both regularly and consistently. (given that we had received two content updates within 4 months they made the premiss that we could expect new content of a similar size every 2 months) I can only speculate on the effects layoffs would have on the game. Layoffs don't concern me in a game like this because there can be no way they require the same staff numbers that it took to produce a new game, as they do to maintain one. Even taking into account the creation of new content. Layoffs were bound to happen. Thats certainly not an acceptable excuse for the slowing of content release. We're still waiting and they're still telling us the same thing.
  3. All this sounds great, BUT....... They've been telling us things are coming like "You will be able to recruit HK-51 in to your party in the very near future". The "very near future" is a carrot on a string and that's what disappoints me the most. If they want to announce new things that are coming, i'm all for that...but please be a bit more detailed on this. The year 2050 could be considered the near future ffs. Just tell us it'll be out at the end of XXXXXX month...give us an actual timeframe we can count on, even if you overestimate the time required to release any "new" content so you can exceed expectations by releasing earlier if the content is finished in time. Diablo 3 was able to give a pretty definitive answer for when their big 1.4 patch is going live (not an exact date, but saying it's out at the end of the month is much better then "the very near future"). i realise this isn't the best comparison as they're obviously diff games with diff people making **** happen, and D3's patch isn't a content update, but it is a major game mechanics rework. I've only just canceled my SWTOR sub this last week because i've been paying my sub since release, and the last 4 months have been full off, thus far, empty promises. Virtually misleading information. We've had no new content since early April, they couldn't even implement nightmare Denova, which wouldn't even count as new content. Ranked PvP....again, not new content, just something that was ment to be there at release. Useable social armor, again, this isn't something new, just something that was fixed. Legacy system, i don't consider this new content either, more an accessory to the game mechanics. They keep telling us about all the good stuff coming as if it's finished and ready to go when the time it takes for them to implement anything makes it seem more like these are still in concept stage, Please get your **** together
  4. Armormech crafters may now reverse engineer almost any modifiable outfit into an empty custom (orange) shell of the same name and appearance, which may now gain an augment slot when crafted with critical success.
  5. I've read that in patch 1.2 we'll be able to craft augmentable, modable armor (and weapons) which sounds like a good thing. All the modable purple items will become fully modable with the armor mod being removable. Again, this sounds great as that will allow for more customisation of appearance. The social item type armor sets will be available in medium and heavy as well as light. The problem is that just as they fix the usefulness of the social armor sets by making them viable to use by any armor type, they make them useless because you'll want augmentable pieces of armor (which can only be obtained through crafting) and therefore not be able to obtain both the appearance you want with the stats you want. It's one or the other, looks of your choice, or stats. Why not just add an appearance tab and make social items stat free unmodable items ? Or better yet, make it so augment slots can be obtained by the use of a crafted item (which would solve any stat/appearance issues as you could augment the social sets this way).
  6. The orginal was the best, mostly for opening up this fantastic world of great charators with (in it's day) eye popping visuals. When you'd see Luke and Leia with R2D2 and C3PO on the Muppets you knew this was something big.
  7. Some people seem to see the word Vendor and instantly assume they've been screwed. Maybe they need some basic reading tutoring to understand the subtle differences between words like 'Security' or 'Key' and 'Collector's Edition Store'. Or maybe just some English lessons to comprehend the meaning of 'Unique'....as in Unique in-game vendor.
  8. It's an outrage! Call your embassy, send a letter to the Pope, dial 911, get McGyver!! Hang on, you're on Santa's naughty list, that explains it.
  9. God i hope taken isn't taken
  10. OMG those names are already in use on every server, you're screwed
  11. You realise your posting a complaint about complaining, making you one of the people you are having a go at ?
  12. Gamestop(.com) has taken full payment for my CE preorder as of today. So seems everywhere is shipping early.
  13. Unless it grows legs, my guess is it isn't going anywhere
