  1. Not to rain on anyone's parade, but I've been 50 for awhile now. I'm valor 55, have opened 70+ bags and gotten 4 pieces. 3x belts, 4x implants, 3x bracers, 2x earpieces. Rest commendations. Whenever I see people who are V20-30 and fully geared, I feel like smashing my face into my desk repetitively. As someone who's always done and loved competitive PvP, this is just frustrating. I need the gear to be competitive, but I can't get the gear because I'm unlucky. I miss MMOs that weren't so gear-based. Feels like such a long, long time ago now...

  3. V54 here. I get facerolled by people 15 ranks lower than me because they've had better luck and are in full Champ gear while I've opened 60 or so bags and have 4 pieces. Feels good, man.

    Healing is hard enough and is given crap for rewards. I get ~40-50 commendations each match for healing. Pretty awful, considering no one gives MVPs to healers.
  5. If it makes you feel better, I'm 6 off of Valor 60 and have only 4 pieces. I got my 3rd set of bracers today. Got my 3rd belt yesterday. Before that I had a 20 bag commendation streak.
  6. I've opened close to 50 or 60 champ bags and only gotten 4 pieces. Rest dupes and commendations. I have a feeling I should just start saving BM bags, since I am Valor 54. Sigh.

    Hmmm... your server is opposite of mine. While Empire is still dominant, all the Republic players only started queuing when they hit 50 and needed gear, so early on they steamrolled lowbie Empire PuGs. Now the same premades run and are virtually unkillable because of the gear gap. Kinnnnd of annoying.
  8. You must not play on my server where Repub runs nothing but fully geared premades and win 98% of the time just because they are virtually unkillable.
  9. Valor rank 53 with only 4 pieces checking in. Getting pretty sick of seeing V10-30s in nearly a full set. Let's just say my Xalek is getting pretty geared. Groan.
  10. I've been doing the following, which helps: Never auto-queue. ALWAYS manually re-queue. Take quest, immediately reset it before playing. Untrack quest in log. I spent one day playing WZ matches for 6 hours and only 1 ended up counting. I felt like hulk smashing something.
  11. I always give an MVP to the top healer, because we only have like... 3... on our entire server.
  12. I hate CC, but this would make CC useless. You may as well remove it entirely if you did this.
  13. What? Have you ever been HIT by a Sorc DoT? It's PATHETIC. 200-400 dmg. And Sorcs can only reuse the shield on themselves every 20s, not every time the skill comes up (~5s). At 50, in gear, I'd argue Sorcs are actually one of the weaker classes. However, I feel that that is mostly due to the other classes just blowing Sorc damage out of the water (6-10k Critting Ops versus my 1-2.5k Crits as a 50 Sorc). If this was fixed, Sorc damage would actually be more on-par with everyone else. All of our CC (Electrocute and Whirlwind) are on 1m CDs, and if you spec into it, only THEN can you get instant Whirlwind. Until then it's a long cast time that is practically useless. Force Speed is a 30s CD, which is an eternity if you're trying to kite a melee on you. Force Slow is the only instant snare we get (FL is channeled, so we HAVE to stand in one place like sitting ducks), and it's on a 12s CD with a 6s snare, so there are 6 seconds where the target we are kiting isn't snared. Furthermore, don't Guardians/Sentinels/Juggernauts/Marauders get Charge, allowing them to leap to their target? I believe this is also a temporary "stun," or at least it feels like one in PvP because your character temporarily STOPS MOVING when someone uses it on you. Simply put, a good meleer can rip Sorcs APART. At 50, I get literally torn to SHREDS by a geared meleer and there isn't much I can do (save for CCing and running like a chicken to a clump of allies or behind or underneath something), because my only real damage is Force Lightning, which requires I stand still. The only thing I can do is kite in circles, spamming Force Slow, my crappy DoTs, Shock, and when I can, Electrocute to get a FL channel off, Overload if they get too close (which can easily be negated by force charging to me since it only knocks people a couple meters), Force Speed if it is up, etc. Our on-the-move damage REALLY isn't that high. Death Field is nice, but only available to Madness Sorcs, and it is on a CD. We have to be stationary to do any real damage to people. And as for the shield people complain about -- at 50, it really isn't that big of an issue. It helps for the first couple seconds of a fight, but after that I'm basically naked. Most classes CC me and just destroy my bubble while my character stands there helplessly. I'd also argue that if you strip Sorcs of some of their utility, you'd be screwing us in solo PvE 25+, when Khem Val becomes extremely squishy and mobs start hitting harder. I use a very geared Ashara in PvE, and even I had issues with multiple silvers/gold mobs at times, just because they hit like freight trains compared to me. Let's just say I got a lot of kiting and medpac practice.
  14. Ahahahah. I've had this happen on my Sorc. I got Force Pulled down into the Huttball pit by a Sin, then pulled up by a Powertech, then pulled by an ally Sorc. All within about 3 seconds. My character somehow STILL scored, but the ragdolling was so hilarious.

    Witch Elves and Witch Hunters were a perfect example -- they drove WEs into the ground with the nerf but buffed WHs into ridiculous levels. And let's not even get on the topic of BWizzys. Also, if you can't kill a Sorc 1v1 as a melee, you just need to learn to close distance faster. Sorc CC's are on a 1m CD, Force Speed 30s, and bubble can only be popped every 20 seconds on one target, IIIRC. 20s in PvP is an eternity.
