My first char was a marauder and I felt a little bit the same as I leveled to lvl 50. I don't know if it is a bug in the loot system or just bad luck. After I changed server and started a Jedi Shadow (light armor) and the loot drop for me was insane, I got always loot from Flashpoints and usually random mobs would drop items I could use. With the marauder I never felt that way though.
