  1. [quote= But then again, players have never been up in arms about how "loose" and "****ty" the male characters of a game are, so perhaps it's a desire not to step on a minefield by including too many flirt options and insinuating that female characters are apt to navigate across the galaxy on their backs. But its OK if those same women have sex with other women and travel across the galaxy that way??? U are giving 3 options one doesnt have to choose the flirt option. Let us cut to the chase shall we the problem is inequality u r treating female players different than male players. If the man is offended by the flirt option he already has a choice the women are not even given one. As for the disparity of male to female players how do u expect to get more female players when they see that they are not valued and are not given as much as their male counter parts. I have already played as much of this games storyline as I care too I have no abition to follow the storylines for the empire cuz other than the sith inquisitor female the romance options are horrible. U have a choice between a psychopathic Quinn who pretends to care than tries to kill her like u would actually keep that in your bed. and a beardless boy toy for bounty hunter and finally the piece de resistance bug boy which creeps me out massively. From the all the threads I am seeing here it seems there are no future plans for improving on the situation. I am a subscriber and I intend to change that. I guess that wont improve the disparity of male/female players but I have finally gotten to the pt where I dont really care.
  2. The Male SW get to choose from not only 2 romanceable female crew companions but he has his choice of which one he wishes to marry and neither of them try to kill him. Plus he is able to flirt with other npc females along the way which the female SW was completely unable to do. I dont know about u but personally I think Quinn trying to kill her tops any complaint out there It really KILLS the romance if u get my meaning. The whole storyline was ruined at that point far as I am concerned.
  3. This is true she does, however, doesn't seem to be getting so much as a "your cute" tossed her way since. No flirt word play. I will give it another 10 lvls then if it doesnt get better will scrap her. Cuz not really interested in romancing a pubescent boy for marriage option.
  4. Is there an auto decline duel hidden somewhere in "preferences" I cant seem to find it. Is very annoying ur crafting or questing and u get different people coming up and challenging u. I have better things to do. Also I am not big on PvP even just dueling I have older machine and a bit laggy not fun for me.
  5. I find that being a female player in this game sucks badly. We get very few flirt options unless ur playing smuggle/IA and I am finding that class a bit squishy. And as bad as it is on the republic side it is a nightmare on the Imperial side. I saw a thread where someone complained that they didn't like Andronikos Rebel. Well they are in for some nasty weather cuz he is the only decent romance interest on the empire side. With the Imperial Hunter u have a boy: as in young boy, to romance which is a massive turn off-- I am not someone who goes for the boy toy idea-- Like my guys to be out of puberty. The Imperial Agent u get bug boy (a Joiner) don't want to go into how grosse I think that is. Then the Coupe de grace! With the sith warrior u get Quinn -- The psychopath. Oh he is good looking and charming sorta. But he doesn't have feelings like other people, only pretends at them like all good psychopaths. and he has no feelings of remorse after he courts u, asks u to marry him and proceeds to try to kill you. Am I the only one finding that the game masters have some kind of issue with women?? Things are certainly not created equal here. And in exactly the same story-line the Male sith warrior gets to choose between 2 female crew members as to which one they want as a significant other. And by the way neither of them try to kill him.
  6. I dont know kinda hard to make a comeback from trying to kill your wife to be. With all his preparations he could have won, I know--not the storyline but still. If he loved her the thought of killing her should have been unbearable. Therefore he didnt love her. Rather disappointing for a softie romantic like me. I dont see how she could stand him around much less turn her back on him again. Have kids??? yah right!
  7. Yeah Smuggler's/Bounty Hunter's are the exception to the lack of flirt options rule maybe cuz in movie the smuggler was a roguish flirt lol.
  8. LoL well, as a female not just in the game. I can say without any hesitation yes we like to flirt. Not always do we take it any further than words but the opportunity being there would be nice. And being a strong independent woman doesnt mean u dont like to flirt once in a while. Bioware needs to hire a few real world woman to help them with their flirt script. If they dont have any women on staff that is.
  9. My lvl 24 Female sith warrior has had less action than my Jedi consular. And Sith don't have ruies against it, like the Jedi do. My Jedi consular had a fling before she ever found her Lt. Irresso. My female sith warrior has Quinn as member of her crew but trying to flirt with him is a slow an painful process. Having someone to flirt with and maybe make him jealous would at least liven things up. My female sith inquisitor at least got to flirt with a few people before getting really involved with her pirate. I have noticed it most with the Female melee class. My Jedi Knight was never offered any other flirt options other than Doc and this sith Warrior so far none other then her attempts on Quinn which he sidesteps and dodges like she is a fate worse than death. This is a bit annoying be damned if i am gonna order him to flirt with my char. It starts to feel like a boss pushing herself onto an employee (sexual harassment-- kinda thing ) I really dont wanna go there.
  10. I am making a new char. and I noticed that too. bought a lightsaber that I could switch the crystal on u know for the new lvl 10+ crystals u can get from cartel market. and once u have it can retrieve it from ur legacy collection. well wanted to get a weapon to switch the crystal. and tho it didn't show that requirement when i moused over it on the gtn I found it requires dark side 1. If there is no possible way to get to darkside 1 by lvl 9 y do these weapons exist. Is it a glitch? Kind of pointless to make something no one can use.
  11. A crew skill mission reroll would improve game play massively. If nothing else it would cut down on the number of load screens. Every time there is nothing any good on the mission selection you have to log off (load screen) log back on (load screen) at least 2 less loads would be nice. already have load screens for things like riding up an elevator or arriving at flight path destination. Any less load screens would be great. Also as the missions get higher lvl its not a matter of 5 minutes for completion-- your looking at over a half hour for an item u didnt actually want or need; if u choose to go with one of the items there even if u dont want it. The price is considerably higher for the mission as well.
  12. Thats nice but I wasnt playing in 2012. I just hit the choice now.
  13. It is not their job to make a storyline depressing. Games are supposed to be entertaining not real life. I dont want realism if i did i wouldnt be playing games. Specially a Star wars type where characters are supposed to be larger than life heroes. As for making a choice there really isnt one. The deck is stacked against u. If u choose Jaxo u still lose her, so what is the point in having a choice in the first place. Just do a cut screen take over everything and dont give a choice cuz that is basically what is happening anyway.
  14. I havent kept track but we have killed thousands of droids. Turn them into scrap scavenge them and continue on to save Jaxo and the prisoners just do so quickly.
  15. From what I have seen so far the trooper seems to be the only char that has to make that kind of decision. All the other chars get to be larger than life heroes that save the day and everyone in crisis--while the trooper is reduced to mediocrity; having to decide who is worth saving. And ending up with this depressing no win situation. Here u have an entire squad of heroes yet they are reduced to regular grunts and at the same time all the other classes get to save the day. I actually liked my trooper the most prior to A-77. I agree totally this quest ruined the trooper story line.
