Overall I think you guys are on the right track. At least when it comes to the ranked changes and faster gearing, etc. We really do need some new PvP maps. I would love to seem some variant maps like you did with huttball. A different version of Novare Coast would be really enjoyable for me. I would suggest enabling 8 vs. 8 for solo ranked again. If the population increases, it would give classes like DPS Mercs/commando's a place to shine and with the 2018 requirement no one would be in PvE gear. It could make for some pretty close games. Make these changes quickly, and hopefully merge servers with low populations so queues pop quickly, and I think you'll see PvP rebound quickly.

Without even talking about the lack of balance/content. I have to say, I like these changes. It'll increase participation and make ranked less painful. Especially when your group is strong with the derp side of the force. My question is this: When do we see these change get made? Sooner the better Bioware.

Hope they hot fix it tonight or tomorrow morning. Just went into a WZ and it was 4 Low Slash Shadow's. Nothing but stuns. All it did was make everyone log out and not bother doing anymore WZ's for the night.

Just out of curiosity, do we get off-hand weapons like vibroblades, generators, etc? That would be a nice perk.

I think you have to have a rating of 1625 for all 3 reward sets/titles. I could be wrong, but that's what it looks like.

I've done 4 group ranked games since the season started and my rating is 1286. I think you'll be okay pugging group. OR you could just yolo queue till you hit 1350 and get the reward you want.

I'll have to see when we can get everyone on for it. Schedule's tend to not align these days. Soon, is the best I can say atm.

Also remember, it was double XP weekend and a lot of people were leveling alts. Can't blame them really, leveling is such a drag usually. I even leveled my Commando up for something different.

This is the truth. Sad part is, I'd like to do more ranked on my Sorc, but unfortunately Imp side queue is filled with players in PvE gear and playing weak classes. Not that I don't get some of the same on pub side, but it's a lot less. Get your PvP gear FIRST and queue up. Ranked can be fun and yes it can be hell when you get a terrible team, but it's yolo, that's just how it is.

A Op with 3 smashers would be worse. The op could sit in stealth and watch the mayhem till he needed to come out and heal. Which wouldn't be right away, since Mara's have the best DCD's in the game. On top of that, Mercs can still be countered and if they blow their shield to free cast, you just stun them through it. Good players will know to chain interrupt and force reactive shield. After that it's just stun/mezz and refocus once shield drops. I do agree a merc could last that long, but a team with good AoE damage (which all competitive team will have) would neuter a merc healer. Kolto missile and cast heals can not and will not keep up with smash and pressure damage.

Very good points OP, I agree with you. Mara's and Operatives need to be tweaked downward. I would say tone down healing, but we can't really do that till Smash gets toned down as well. Right now the reason ops are mandatory isn't just the lack of casting, it's the only healer strong enough to counter Mara damage. On top of that no one can try to affectively focus down a mara, they have several Defensive CD's on a short CD making them impossible to kill quickly. They are by far the best melee DPS, and no class can compare to them on DPS, Defense, and Utility. Sadly, I don't think Bioware will change anything major. BTW, I agree, Sorc Lightning has some nasty burst and so does Merc Arsenal. The thing is, they cane be easily focused or interrupted. So there's a trade off. I really hope Bioware does some balancing. I'd love to be able to play a Merc/Sage heals over my Op in a Arena.

Brobi, I would seriously just stop making this thread. As you can see, we can't have nice things. Now don't get me wrong, I'm enjoying the QQ drama, but this thread and threads like it, don't serve a purpose right now. All they do is bring out the epeen and eflex of Internet nerds. Hopefully "ONE" day, Bioware will implement a actual rank system and season so this will all be pointless. Until Monday when the mods come back, let's see how badly this thread goes down the poop chute before getting deleted.
