  1. From a strictly non-mechanical standpoint, I enjoyed the new chapters; but something has been bugging me. It doesn't feel like Star Wars. There are some superficial items that try to keep it anchored, but something just doesn't feel right. The only parts that really gave me that Star Wars feel were a certain person and a ghost chatting over a fire. I know this can't be just me. Most of the surface elements are in place that tell you this should be Star Wars, but what is it missing?
  2. Apologies, edited that out. I think the problem here is that people are worried about bioware ninja romances. One of their games even has you initiate a romance with a dude just by acting civil towards him. In SWtOR, bioware practically shoves flirt options down your throat every time you talk to Theron. Or Lana. Or Koth. I can totally see how someone could mistake this for the game trying, yet again, to throw a Theron romance at you. So while the problem may lie in reading comprehension, I believe there may be a systemic problem which is making the miscomprehension more likely in this particular case. To hell with it though. My main married both Jaesa and Vette. No need for a third.
  3. Just because "one of you" doesn't explicitly mean Theron, does not mean that it explicitly excludes Theron. If this were a passage in a book, you would be right; reading comprehension fail. However the way the scene is laid out, it is perfectly reasonable to think that addressing Theron is implied. Really though, what does it even matter to you? This thread was created to clarify something that wasn't even an issue for you. So why bother posting?
  4. To those claiming that people who made this mistake have poor reading comprehension: Perhaps it isn't that our reading comprehension is worse than yours, but that we read and interpret (or place ourselves in position to misinterpret) social cues more readily than you do? The dynamics of the conversation and character actions make it certainly possible that someone could think they were being prompted to flirt with Theron as we see from this thread.
  5. This right here. This is the type of gameplay that drives me away from games. Luckily it wasn't needed in KotOR. I don't have all day to play video games. I wouldn't call myself casual though because I do manage to play a fair amount. However, there are parts of this game that I won't even touch; the parts that require repeat grinding. No thank you.
  6. Question about setting up my Sting: I've been flying strikes since a little after GSF launched. I used to have a Sting on another character, but with level cap increases and no unique class content I decided to just do everything on one character from now on for simplicity sake. So I'm doing the Sting all over again. I remember using quads, clusters, and blaster overcharge back in the day. Melted pretty much everything even if suboptimal. As I said though, I've been in strikes almost exclusively since then. I like a relaxed flying style. I lurk on the outskirts of engagements and slash in for quick strikes while trying to limit my penetration into the fray and using range as much as possible. This also helps deal with my somewhat high latency which makes knife fights frustrating for me, hence I avoid them. What is the best way to set up my new Sting for my flying style? I don't want to waste too much req experimenting around. Also, I hate rocket pods. They're good, but I hate them. Thanks.
  7. You guys are insane. Ship droid is the best companion in the freaking game currently; but hey if you want to get rid of him, be my guest.
  8. Not when the enemy has more capability to exploit it.
  9. It's certainly a mouthful of something...
  10. The only identifying weapon that sticks out to me is the double saber. Anything with a single saber you can't tell by looks, but can usually tell by what they're doing. Everything else I use the class icons over their heads if it isn't obvious by what I see them doing. Aside from the one I mentioned, weapon is almost meaningless when it comes to helping me identify what I'm fighting.
  11. I've been on teams where they rush to the top when we have like one knockback between the four of us, and the other team is sorc, sin, jugg, etc. I doubt half these people even think about it.
