  1. Longtime returning player, hello everyone. People still complain about the fact that the "dibz" is low on sage/sorc dps trees. Devs still defend their position on terms of utility and rdps concept. %5 below doesn't make you the worst dps doesn't make you the worst dps on team as long as you do your job (or you can do your job with all the interrupts) properly. Having a utility skill that you use to stop dpsing doesn't justify this lack of design dps since you lose dps using that utility most of the time anyway resulting even in worse dps. So both parties are wrong ? Nobody talks about what really causes this drop. Engine restrictions and casting delays due to latencies. Also rotation got more instant casts, it means more bugs and delays if you cast a skill after an instant. Walking cast changes are great though and rotation now feels really fluid. We shall see how it is as we participate on more raids . All the best.
  2. I have to agree, would be really nice to get an "act IV".
  3. It'll be similar to what focus is, only the target with SF will be critted . It really sounds good in theory, PvE dps wise. I fear its consequences in pvp though. I can already see 4 sages in arenas one shotting ppl with SF and insta oneshot FiBs . You could always make it not work on players. I truly think its a better way to buff balance instead of giving SF %40 dps boost. You can give the mechanic to Sever Force as well, which would make it inaccesible for hybrid builds.
  4. Omg u actualy gave me an idea, its also something maybe devs can use. They want to pull balance equal with other specs right without touching the hybrid right ? Buff it a bit ? Make FiB auto crit if target has a Sever Force on it. Though would be a bit weird on pvp :/. Just some food for thought.
  5. To be honest the problem is the way Bioware treats us "light armor" classes. It just doesn't make sense. There is no reward for the risk you are taking.
  6. I have to agree. There is like no character progression in this game. Most of the classes just go 55, stack power and surge and do their peak dps required. There is no fun optimization or trying different stats or builds in this game, with alacrity being nerfed and crit being useless. Rotations are being dumbed down, look at the new guardian rotation. Rdps, which is supposed to be challenging have the easiest rotations i have ever seen in my life. I still remember the days people were asking help to finish the Jedi Knight ending now its so faceroll... Flashpoints are utterly easy mode and there aren't HMs anymore, just this weird thing called tactical flashpoints which you could easily solo. At least DF NiMM was something new on challenging gameplay and that is actually nothing more than new futile mechanics added or RNG stuff to ruin your day. Some already got the kill before a week passed . So it did get easier over time.
  7. 16 man never really worked well in this game , to be honest its a LOT better than it used to be. At least i'm getting 15 fps, i used to get 7-8 .
  8. Here is what i got in mind. Remove mirror specs and create original specs/skills for each class. Make design decisions and meta switches after a major patch, like 2.1 instead of 2.7. Make PvP/GS cross server b/w pvp/pve/RP servers. Do class balancing on a design principle, instead of listening feedback from players for everything. Find a way to merge GS with the combat we have, thus coming up with guild ship battles. Stop releasing buggy stuff that makes people leave the day they returned to the game. Get an internal testing team . Add new stats like "Resist" and "Mastery" to keep optimization more interesting varied for end game. Just realized its an epic necro . Who cares ! If you ask me we need this thread now .
  9. I like the questions, i only wish pushback on TKThrow and balance dps falling behind would be in them somehow. Third question is something i really want to ask as well, but maybe its better to use that question for more technical issues instead of aesthetic changes. Up to you and the majority, i'll agree either way.
  10. With Kuat, i don't know how it works together the only thing i know is that i'm getting the same (actually less, since it gets less as i level) xp compared to what i got at the broken double xp while i was doing Kuat. Let me give you an example, i'm getting merely %60 of a level at level 28 sentinel without perks per Kuat. With perks it would be about %80. Xp numbers that were posted are something entirely different, but to be honest it broke my will a bit to go level Numbers have been reduced significantly compared to the initial post.
  11. I have to get these out of my system, here is what i make of the 2.7 changes after some more testing. About AoE, to be honest thats what i liked about my AC, it was like having a second rotation specially for AoEs. AoE damage we had was OP, thats for sure but that was the design principle. A class that wears light armor getting %15 dmg reduction would be better with some impact, some glass cannon utility on its abilities and AoE was the way. If there is no reward for the risk you are taking, why am i playing a light armor class ? About 2.7, let's face it, currently we have got a lot of QoL buffs and they were all to hide how bad they screwed up our class' design principle. Right now we are merely a mediocre RDPS with its pushback issues. I love how they are trying to make our class "hard to master" by giving us pushback on its core abilities. Mind Crush, stupid but acceptable, TK Throw ? You make it a core part of the TK rotation and it has pushback. And even devs accept balance dps is way behind compared to others amongst sustained dps classes. I have absolute respect for those that still play balance for any reason, with its current state. From a developer viewpoint, AoE dmg nerf was something they had in mind with the upcoming NiMM operation i suppose and sage/sorc was the one that got the most hit. To be honest this is like the first time a dev getting this intimate with players on the PTS post, because they know they screwed up with this patch. I truly don't understand how people get to accept the changes with 2.7.
  12. O ye i like companions as well, wish they'd be more involved in what you do . Tactical Operations with Companions ? Another thing for the wall of crazy i'd say . Though i always hated consular companions. Would prefer Knight over Consular every day.
  13. I want what you are having mate.
