  1. I'm not convinced that the class story itself will continue, but they may try to integrate some aspects of that part of the game (like companions) into the main narrative.
  2. Not exactly. Shadows are meant to end dark side threats discreetly and self-reliantly, with a relative amount of independence from the normal support groups and procedures of the Jedi Order and Galactic Republic. Usually that means killing their targets, but with any true practitioner of the Jedi Code it is always preferential to redeem. You should bear in mind that the abilities your character uses during combat are a skill set that was developed specifically for combat. Both Jedi and Sith are capable of other, more obscure abilities that are generally usable in combat. You're an Inquisitor who prefers a Force-driven, Maul-style lightsaber-orientated combat technique to take down enemies, but has other Force abilities not related specifically to combat.
  3. The biggest problem with the Consular story is that it is badly composed -- there a some cool elements, but they are either left unfinished or don't come together as a cohesive narrative. This is actually the case with all the class stories to varying degrees, but each has a different way of compensating; the Sith Warrior track makes up for the lack of a strong plot with a lot of energy and excitement, a charismatic lead, and enjoyable romances (LS or DS). Jedi Knight has that plus a lot of nostalgia. The Sith Inquisitor carries the day by sheer wit, engaging antagonists, and an interesting position in Sith society. Erstwhile, the grand mystical premises behind the Jedi Consular didn't allow for a weak plot, because it couldn't compensate with traditional Star Wars action and excitement, but its loaded with the same easy way outs and contrivances as the other class stories. Like I said, it doesn't make for a very sound composition. To put it concisely, I'd say that Act 1 didn't have ambition but fulfilled its purpose, while the premises of Acts 2 and 3 overreached the content they were willing to develop for the class. That being said, it has its share of goose bump moments and points of interest along the tedium. The character himself is readily identifiable as the wise and courageous Jedi a lot of fans would enjoy relating to. And his mannerisms are more like those of a seasoned Jedi (like Yoda or older Obi-Wan, or Luke in Return of the Jedi) than the Jedi Knight's. I'd also say that it is a somewhat more original Jedi story, whereas the Jedi Knight tends to recycle ideas from Kotor and the films.
  4. Most of these criticisms apply to all of the classes. The danger of story in an MMO is that there is a lot of tedium between and over spaces. And fatigue will impede your enjoyment of good parts even when you finally get to them. But her character is present from the beginning of Chapter 2 and is developed in the interim. The romance could have used a companion quest to spice things up, but that problem is hardly specific to the Consular.
  5. The Supreme Inquisitor's items are so rare that you can kill them all day for days and weeks without getting a drop. I killed that champion for like a week (spent hours every day spawn camping) before I finally found the Bracers in the chest behind her (which I was also opening when it spawned). The next day I killed her and she dropped the legwraps. Since then (I think 4-5 days) she has dropped no other piece of the set, and the chest hasn't contained it either. Kazianna Alvamma (and the chest behind her) is the only champion on Hoth that I can personally confirm does drop what TorHead says she drops, that is, the pants (legwraps). I'm moving on to other champions to see if they drop other pieces of gear.
  6. Main: Sith Sorcerer Alt: Jedi Shadow Second Alt: Sith Warrior (not sure if I'll level him though -- I just kind of fiddle with him when I don't feel like facing the challenges of my Main and first Alt)
  7. Yes, but she holds fast to her own notions of what a Force Sensitive's relationship to the Force ought to be -- ostensibly her 'grey' philosophy is inspired by your example and teachings, but I'm not sure how well that computes for a Dark V Inquisitor, who is, after all, pretty evil. Her beliefs and their relationship to yours are handled ambiguously enough that the effect isn't ruined, but it isn't an exact fit either.
  8. Maybe. Does the endgame PvE gear consist of that specific robe? I'm trying to narrow it down.
  9. In the Sith Inquisitor progression video the final version of the Sorcerer is wearing a purple robe and mask in what looks like the streets of Corellia. Does anyone know what this robe is called and where you get it?
  10. Supreme Sith Inquisitor is a rare drop, meaning you almost never see it. People reported finding it on trash mobs in the Foundry Flashpoint and while fighting Talz on Hoth, the more elite the better. I just spent all day doing both those things and never got it. More practically, you can raise lots of money and tell other people to go grind it for you. Ironically, grinding for it yourself is a good way to get such money.
  11. Narrative wasn't sure how to characterize a LS-aligned Sith Inquisitor. Now I'm not sure if I'm Light Side, non-aligned, or just an honorable Dark Side character. There were high points in the class story, but also periods of blandness. Overall I have mixed feelings, but the ending was excellent.
  12. Any advantage is offset by the fact the Sith are continually killing each other off and are extremely (and irrationally) preferential about the lineages of their apprentices.
  13. It'll probably depend on which faction arc you are following. For Sith, they probably establish an Empire that lasts a long time but gets destroyed sometime in the distant future, with the Republic maintaining only a marginal presence in the galaxy until that day. For the Republic, they either outright vanquish the Sith Empire or compress it to only a marginal presence, again, until it is destroyed sometime in the distant future.
  14. Inquisitors can't get married, but I'm pretty sure we aren't the only ones. There will probably be an opportunity in the expansions, if not a patch. Your relationship arc is effectively 'complete' for now.
  15. Referring to me by the title 'Imperius' is fine, as long as they don't make assumptions about my moral character based on my title, but only on my points. I don't want people in the expansions thinking of me as a loyal servant of the Empire instead of the philosophically subversive Darth I was throughout the game. I would have preferred Oculus, but the neutral Imperius is acceptable. Truth be told, I often thought that my Inquisitor was a moral and disciplined person, but not a strict practitioner of the Light Side -- the narrative didn't really support it, what with all the Dark Side rituals and techniques Inquisitors of every alignment were compelled to learn.
