  1. I think the issue if all Flashpoints going forward become Tactical, there will be no need for tanks or healers for such content. The smart choice would be taking all four DPS to clear content the fastest. This could lead to Heals and Tanks being kicked which I think would further disincentivize people from rolling those much needed classes. After all, one of the main appeals of these classes (in my opinion) is how quickly flashpoints pop.
  2. Personally, I am REALLY enjoying the event. I like the story, I like how THORN troopers look and I like fighting the Rakghouls. That being said, I started playing this game like about one week after the original Rakghoul Outbreak event and so I missed out on it. I guess if you have already encountered this it could be a bit of a disappointment. The only real critique I have for this event is the fact that I am not too excited by the gear being offered. Just the look of them don't appeal to me that much I suppose.
  3. The amazing thing is that despite that fact this is a satire, this is far better written than most of the actual complaint threads. ie: Ur Patching Illum !! Don't patch or i quit EAware! /unsubb
  4. This is another example of a vocal minority drowning out most people. If anyone really thinks micro transactions and day one DLC is as bad foreclosing peoples houses and causing a massive economic collapse, then their priorities are seriously out of wack.
  5. People will complain about anything in this game
  6. I figure this game will last another 2 years at the absolute minimum. As much as I love this game however, I'm not sure if it will have the insane lifespan of WOW. I give it between 3-5 years from now. I feel by time it closes down the lvl cap will be 70ish and there will be a fairly large endgame.
  7. This is an excellent article which manages to sum up my opinions on the massive amount of TOR hate quite well. Thanks for sharing
  8. So I feel like you should post this into the Guilds section. In addition, when advertising for your guild, you should really mention what sever you are on. That being said, depending on your sever I may be interested. Jedi Covenant?
  9. Sir, I respect you but I do not understand you.
  10. This made my day. But in all honesty, it took me a good five minutes to understand what OP was trying to say.
  11. I am excited for the continuation of the story (which I consider to be the best part of the game). I just hope it is interesting enough to run through several times. My main concern is that the new level cap and planet may segregate the community, but I suppose that's somewhat inevitable.
  12. So I've been playing SWTOR on and off for quite a while. I think I started in 1.1 (right before Allies was introduced). Now I am by no means an expert, my highest toon is only 30. Though I am beginning to get more and more involved in the game, I still consider myself a casual gamer. There is one question that has stuck with me for a while though. Where are all the tanks? I enjoy playing as a tank. Having to keep track of argo, defend the healer and call out cc is fun to me. Why does it seem so few players enjoy this style of playing? My main (a powertech) gets very quick pops in group finder for flashpoints. I have an operative dps who I occasionally play as well who takes about an hour to get into flashpoints. So could anyone with a good grasp on the pulse of this community explain why no one seems to like rolling a tank?
  13. I recently ran this FP on my Powertech for the first time. I found it a little bit of a struggle to keep the argo, the only thing that let me hang onto it was my taunt. I think that unless you (and thus your companion) are super over leveled your companion is going to have a hard time holding the argo. Companion's may make acceptable DPS replacements for a flashpoint, but I wouldn't trust one to tank or heal. No, not even Mako.
  14. Long time forum lurker, first time poster here. I've started to become a little bothered of the rose colored glasses SWG vets view the world through. I can imagine how sad it must be to see a beloved game shut down, but seriously SWTOR is not SWG and the devs do not need to work towards making into SWG. Space combat is an enjoyable mini game. It's not the main focus and its not meant to take up as much time as JTL took in SWG. Expecting this mini game to be expanded to this level is a little unreasonable. At the end of the day, you are looking for a game to provide you with radically different gameplay. It would be like posting a video from Halo 4 and claiming "This is how PvP could be". SWTOR is a great game with many features, but immersive space combat may not be one of them. However there are many games which provide that experience. Why not play SWTOR for what it offers and jump onto another game when you get that "Rouge Squadron" itch?
