  1. I've just bought a mouse with number buttons on to help with APM. I fumble about a lot for keys if I try to use the keyboard. Just doesn't feel quite right,. The mouse is taking a little bit of getting used to but starting to feel more natural now. HB - this has helped already. Just done a quick run with it and basically watched for HB being ready to use and slotted it in just before every WS when it was. Already made a big difference! I'll keep the energy in mind, now that the rotation is starting to feel second nature - including adapting when having to move in fights - I'm able to watch energy more. Thanks again More parses when there's something worth showing!
  2. Latest parse, one slight error in my planned rotation but nothing major. Current stats (with buffs and stims); Mastery 6617 Endurance 7829 Power 3053 Crit 1476 (40.44%) Alac 1298 (11.86%) Acc 779 (110.43%) http://parsely.io/parser/view/257901/17 Since my gear is much better than when I started this post I'm sure my DPS on the dummy should be higher.
  3. UPDATED PARSE Hi again, I'm posting an updated parse to see if you can offer advice on my latest issue - energy conservation. Until my energy ran out part way through the final wounding shots on this parse my DPS was around 8.1k (I glanced at StarParse as soon as my energy ran out). Any ideas...? http://parsely.io/parser/view/256898 Stats on this parse; 109.29 accuracy 40.97 critical 11.86 alacrity giving me an energy regen rate of 5.6 With buffs and adv poly vers stim on.
  4. Thank you for this, I think I should post a new parse as I've picked up on a couple of these points myself, such as including speed shot and quickdraw as filler. It's allowing me to time the dots a lot better and take advantage of the window where WS damage is increased at the end of the dot. The rotation I'm now using utilises HS before every other WS as well. I've been including a flurry occasionally to give my energy a moment to recover on occasion too. I'm using the two mods on the dummy for health and armour. The only thing I'm not sure about from your post is the wounding shots time - you say it's 9.071 seconds? Is that between shots? The length of the cast itself is 2.68 seconds (if I remember correctly). I'm a bit confused by that. Also, since this is hard linked to my alacrity level is it something I can mange directly? i.e. am I doing something wrong? It's still a long way from perfect though so I would very much appreciate further input after I post another parse - I'll try to get one up today. Thanks again to those who are taking their time to look at this - it's very much appreciated
  5. I'm really struggling to increase my apm. The best I seem to get is around 34. I'm also struggling to hit that optimal point with vital shot and shrap bomb where right at the end of the dot WS damage is increased. If I over use dirty blast I get energy issues. Going to try and study the top end rotation on Parsely to see if I can work out how to counter these issues. Huger thanks for your on-going help with this, it really is much appreciated. My numbers have already gone up significantly EDIT: I managed an 8k parse just now after looking at some other parses on Parsely. It's tricky timing that last few seconds of the dot just right but found a rotation that works well. Energy conservation can still be an issue, but I'm practising. WIll post more parses soon.
  6. That's already made a massive difference. I changed my queue time to 0.75 - it was on the default. I thought I was on top of this but clearly not. Parse up to 7.2k (slight drop off as I timed the end badly - could have done with parsing for a bit longer really) http://parsely.io/parser/view/255663 Is it worth changing queue time to 1 second...? The other problem I have is that WS isn't always ready, even after 4 DBs... not sure what's going wrong there. Gonna practise some more now
  7. Thanks for your time with this Shy. I haven't posted a parse before so hope I've done this right! I was trying out filling with flurry in this parse - I usually just keep filling with dirty blast but wanted to improve energy conservation. I probably used it too much. http://parsely.io/parser/view/255638/21 Currently my gear is between 234 and 240. I'm getting about 6.5k on the dummy. Crit is 1557 (40.97%) Alac is 1202 (11.17%) Accuracy is 110.28% Any help would be appreciated. Is my crit too low? Accuracy too high? Finding it tricky to push that extra bit of DPS. God knows how people are getting 2k more!
  8. Mind if I ask about your build? I'm not getting 8.3k on the dummy. I've read and practised rotation and think that's ok, so now I'm wondering if I just have the build wrong.
  9. Hi all, What would the optimal figures for a DF slinger be when parsing the OPs dummy? Just trying to get a benchmark. Thanks, in advance for your input, unless you're a troll
  10. I'd be interested in your updated parse...?
  11. Since I posted this I have indeed discovered the virulence post on Dulfy and started working from it. I've started translating it for the Gunslinger, but have used the same stats anyway. I hadn't found that thread before however. It's very useful indeed so thank you for pointing it out to me!
  12. I'm trying to work out how much XP I'll get with various boosts. Say I'm doing an activity that has a base CXP reward of 100. Currently that would give 350 CXP with the boost active until April. What I'm unsure of is how much CXP I'll get if I also use a 100% boost from the cartel market. Is it added on to give 450 CXP? Or is it applied to the boosted CXP, which by my calculations would make it 700 CXP?
  13. Hi all, I've decided to change my SS slinger to DF as the consensus suggests I'll get better DPS. I've found good information about rotation but I can't find much about build and stats. What sort of numbers/percentages would you recommend? Alacrity seems to be a lot higher than I expected, but I don't know how I should balance it all with crit, power, etc. And do you have any suggestions on utilities? Any help or advice would be much appreciated.
