  1. Warzones are mostly just a pain in the but that you need to live thrue to get that set of gear that you need while doing other stuff in the game. I've played SWTOR for about 3 years now (with exception for a small break now and then), and I usually end up as either one of the top 3 in dmg or one of the top 3 in objectives... But still my win ratio in warzones are seldom better than 1 out of 5. I'm either haunted by the worst of luck to end up with the wrong players in round after round, or.. well, I dunno what else it could be really... I like world PvP with my friends and I like to craft and deal with my economy in this game. That's about it as it is today. We go together to do a bunch of daileys while look for reps along the way. When that is done, then we either do the same thing all over again with an alt char. The game doesn't offer any more variaty for us than that in our opinion. And now with the huge decrease of targets (reps) with KOTFE, many of us in our guild hasn't been online for quite some time. There are many game releases this spring and I feel that those releases will be the last nail in the coffer for our small gang. I realize that I drifted away somewhat there in my reply on this post, but to sum up; Dont bother about trying to fix or come with new suggestions about warzones. Warzones has been broken for a long time and BW put 90% of their effort into the world of PvE. They simply dont care about PvP players, they never have. Now and then they make a new map and throws it to us like a bone to a dog while they feast on a royal bufé with the PvE players. Just let it go mate...
  2. As tempting as it sounds to level to 65 outside of the KOTFE storyline, a gutfeeling tells me that skipping the story will bite my behind someday. I dont know what they (BW) plan in the future, but there is a risk that you might need to redo the storyline in order to benefit from something else..
  3. I expect that the future customisation not only change the companions faces, but also their outfits. You can hide a "grandma" face behind a helmet for example if you dont like the old lady look on your most favored companion. Someone mentioned that we dont have any vendors yet to the risk of cliping in the graphics. A solution to that would be that u need to have finished the KOTFE storyline in order to buy any new looks. If they can place a valor level on armor, then I'm sure that they could pull that off aswell...
  4. I choosed a PvP server to play PvP and I find world PvP to be the best and most innovative. If you have a big enough group, then u have the power to control an area as long as you are there. There are actually a war between the Empire and the Republic so by killing a player from the opposite faction, then you play the game as it was meant to be played on a PvP server. You come to a PvP server and tell me to find another game to play and on top of that you are calling all who likes World PvP for bullies?! I tell you instead to choose a PvE server and stop bothering us who likes PvP and have chosen the right server from the start in order to play PvP. If I only wanted PvP via the fixed settings and rules as the Warzones offer, then I would have chosen a PvE server. A child would be able to understand that logic, so why can't you..?
  5. I take it you are one of those PvE players that choosed a PvP server to later be annoyed over that you can get killed while tending to the PvE content in the game. You either accept the fact / risk that you will be killed if you solo run on a PvP server, or you join a guild that are into PvP that can help you do your daileys. Third option is that you make a character transfer to a PvE server.. I dont get the whining from some people that are beeing killed in the open world. Things you hear them "Say" while you are about to leave the scene: "I just wanna do my quests, leave me the hell alone", "*********** idiots!!" etc, etc It destroys the mood when people take it that personal. This is after all a game which is supposed to be played like that.
  6. yes, I meant Influence level.. I stand corrected. Influence does indeed affect Presence. I have 2 merc's: On my first merc I have influence level 29 on Senya and her finishing strike does up to 14810 dmg (Presence 2505) On my second merc I have influence level 12 on Senya and her finishing strike does up to 12401 dmg (Presence 1655)
  7. I have ask in general chat several times, I have googled on it and now I try my luck here: Is there any customization vendors for the new companions, and if so, where are they? I use Senya most of the time when I'm doin the H2's, but I'm already tired of her "grandma" look...
  8. You my friend just made my day! I can't belive I didn't think of that myself. But I have another question; KOTFE Story opens up the possibillity to get your Presence lvl really high (don't remember the exact amount..) and the higher lvl your companion has, the faster it does crewskill missions, increase critchance on crewskill missions and if I'm not misstaken; a lvl 50 companion with maximum Presence is many times more awesome in world pvp than a lvl 10 companion in the old play system. I haven't done any calculation in the matter, it's just based on a general feeling I have. Am I wrong? Then please correct me if that is the case. No one would be happier than me if it turns out that I dont have to drag my a... I mean but, thrue the storyline over and over again!
  9. I like that aswell, but the best experience for me are the even fights. We never stick around to gank. No sport in that..
  10. Errm.. It's not that I dont belive you, but how is that possible? Are you saying that your alts still have the old playsystem with your original companions? And more; warzones for me isn't really PvP since no matter what gear you have, bolster will allways find a way to interfere with the raw experience of a non-bolstered fight. I Play warzones to get my gear, that's it. I spend the rest of my game time craftting, tending to my economy, and hunt for players in the world (Yavin 4 was perfect in that aspect! )
  11. Yes, world PvP is the best because there is no bolster interference! Just raw skill and power!
  12. I'd very much appriciate to be offered a choice to simply be able to skip the play thrue of KOTFE's all chapters with all my alt chars. I generally dislike PvE but it's ok to play the story 1 time. But since I have 12 chars in total, I will have to "SKIP" my way thrue all the cutscenes all those times in order to get my alts to 65. That experience only present a feeling of utter boredoom for me which, as I see it, contradicts the point of gaming which is supposed to be entertaining. It would be nice if I was given an opportunity to simply snap my fingers and have all my alts brought to me as lvl 65 chars after 1 playthrue of all the chapters. I've been talking with a few people in my guild about this and they all seemed to agree with me that playing thrue all the chapters with all your alts is nothing but pain and boredoom. We chose a PvP server to (brace yourself!) play PvP, but now we are forced to play the same story over and over and over again to level up our alt chars.
  13. The way I see it world - pvp utterly died with KOTFE... Teleport everywhere!? On some H2 missions u land right outside of the instance where the H2 objectives are, and once you make it safely inside behind the forcefield then you are untouchable. That must be the flirt of the decade to the PvE community that pesters the PvP servers!! Shadow of Revan offered tons of opportunities to hunt for other players while they spended time "questing" (I have to wash my mouth after saying that faul word...) on both Yavin 4 and Rishi (Yavin 4 was the best place though). Me and my mates used to have tons of fun especially on Yavin 4. The ultimate satisfaction was when the enemy players got tired of beeing killed and started to team up to counter our havoc on the land! A bonus satisfaction was also when we killed a player that used Say to express his frustration over beeing killed while he "quested" (eeeuuww.. said that word again.. where did I lay the soap..?) because then we knew that we had prolly killed a fullfledged PvE player that had been foolish enough to choose a PvP server as playground! =) Well, as it stands now, it seems as my time of pestering PvE players soon will reach an end. I've managed to drag 3 of my 12 chars thrue the story in KOTFE and I'm already fed up with the story. I'll admit that it was somewhat entertaining the first time I played it, but that's it... After that I yelled to myself SKIP everytime a cutscene started and I've almost worned out my space bar after all the pressing on it. It doesn't take that long time from start to finish, but I get so freaking tired that I must split up the experience in small doses to be able to handle it... In short from now on only pain awaits me if I'm gonna level the 9 chars I have left to 65. Warzones for me is more like a nessesary evil to get the gear that I want. Now and then I experience an even game where the outcome isnt written in stone. Those times are actually fun and I gladly accept a loss if it was an even match because it offered me the excitement of participating in such a match. Sadly those times are rather rare. About 1 out of 5 warzone rounds offers this experience... I suspect that KOTFE has set the bar for how SWTOR will be for a copple of years to come. I'll try to keep my interest floating in order to see if there will be any changes in the future but the fun level has dropped horribly since KOTFE. Everything feels as plastic as it felt when WoW killed the world PvP in their game by enabling teleports to everything... The fun game experience has turned into a grindexperience where you (like in WoW) look back on the days when it took you weeks to fully level up a character. Those days are now gone it seems...
  14. The other way around though, have a look at that for a moment... I find most PvE content boring and monotone. The only dynamic game play I can hope to experience is thrue the pvp, world pvp in particular. I've reduced my dailey runs to planets that has the best opportunities to fight other players; Oricon, Rishi and Yavin 4. The pvp free safe zones on Ziost just makes me mad and frustrated: Passing a juicy rep and I cant touch him! AArrrrgh! Warzones are also starting to bore me, but I'll have to do it since that's a nessesary evil to get the pvp gear. I've seen many complain about Novare, and I cant understand why. Open area, opportunity for good strategies and it doesnt take too long to do. Voidstar though makes me puke... The only thing that can somewhat make up for the boredom on that map is if both team are fairly equal. That goes for all maps by the way. The best warzones matches are the ones that offers some degree of excitement due to 2 even teams. A loss in a good even match is way easier to handle than a match where the other team just runs you over, match after match. If BW put some effort in programming the match making when teams are scrambled, so that both teams, atleast in theory were evenly matched, then most warzones would be more fun to play.
