  1. Agree^^ Especially since PvP isn't a requirement to obtain PvP gear in this game.
  2. Do you leave the group before the boss dies, or before the corpse is looted?
  3. Can't sum it up any better than this tbh ^^ Awesome game right now, but each week I feel less and less motivation to log in. It feels like a stop gap for me between DAoC and GW2.
  4. No. Most premades want competative fights, not easy faceroll gear grinds. Sure, there are the odd failgroups that only want to play with an advantage, but the majority enjoy good fights. The fact that there was no competitive PvP on release has been a major factor for a lot of guilds, and have probably moved on (gone back to their old games) already because of this.

    Ilum dies with 1.2

I'm a huge fan of GW1 (and daoc ofc), and feel I will probably like GW2 because of this. I didn't think it would appeal to the masses, but after seeing the video just released I was: Looks very impressive. @OP - Ilum has been dead since release.
  6. ^^ I think OP is mad at quitters I quit quite a few matches, sometimes for no reason other than I wanted to play, but when it actually comes down to it I realise I don't have the motivation. The debuff won't stop this, I usually go do something else anyway. But I do think those that quit because they don't think they will win, will probably just afk (or play passively) to leech valour/commendations.
  7. It depends on what mechanics they attach to the function, I really hope it will not just be x votes = kick. I've already heard a lot of people saying they will (as a premade group) vote to kick anyone with poor hp/gear.
  8. Some good info, but seems to be a few mistakes, such as MVP gives +5 commendations, and the top bit refers to Columni and Rakata rather than Champion and Battlemaster. Could be very good for a sticky thread if the small errors are cleaned up.
  9. Don't have a solution, but to help people that might: Was it normal or HM? Is there any information on your lockout tab? Are any of your original group that did it with you a few weeks ago, having the same problem?
  10. I think this sums up a lot about what this game is missing tbh... The game in general so far seems to be geared towards casual players, which is a good thing. But, there isn't really anything for the hardcore, whether they're raiders or PvPers.
  11. Only reasonable answers so far is RNG or both teams lose. This hasn't happened to be much, but the times it has, I have lost the round. Can anyone confirm if it's possible to win when this happens?
  12. meh, I'm a healer mainly so don't have much of an opinion in this. But, the value of the heals that you have as DPS spec are not really any worse than as Heal spec, they generally heal for around the same amount, the difference that talents bring is more towards force bending and the speed/efficiency in which you can heal over a period of time. The actual values of the heal are pretty good when DPS specced if you're just using them to top yourself up mid fight - when DPS specced I can generally heal around 6-8k with a stun, though when you're in this situation it's more often to prolong the fight rather than to turn the tide... I've not come across a situation on any of my characters where DPS (myself or someone I'm fighting) having heals has been a major factor in the fight.
  13. This is because Alderaan Civil War is simply a race to goto the left turret, where you can pretty much AFK the whole game while your team does the work. On our server it's getting to the point where 5-6 people each fight are doing it.
  14. There was the 'Finish one Warzone' quest, which is the prereq to the 'Win 3 Warzones' daily quest. I could only do this once on each of my 4 characters, then I could only get the daily/weekly quests.
