  1. Next time read the post before you respond. I'm not one of the happy people, I haven't even logged in in ages, but my sub doesn't run out til September and I have many friends who still like the game...
  2. I thought I made it clear I was one of the hardcore gamers that are burnt out on this game... I'm not the vast majority, sorry if you were confused. But I know many people who are having fun and for people like me who love star wars, all the game needs is time...
  3. I think more people need to come on the forums and post why they like the game so much. \Would make the community a much better place...
  4. just to not give up hope for this game, it's still fun, just those burned out just need to step back and take a break...
  5. Just think bout this for a minute, over 2 million subs means there are TONS and I mean TONS of people playing this game that haven't maxed out. No one can argue how amazing this game is 1-50, it's so fun 1-50 that many people immediately make alts once they finish (myself included). But but what about all the people crying? Well think about this too, when does this game become unfun (if that is a word)? When you are done grinding out a tier. Sure this takes awhile but what did 1.2 add? Not much... those in full battlemaster and rakata had no incentive to get denova/war hero gear because of how unfun it was to grind the first time. Sure many of us went in and did all the new content and were happy at first, but after awhile it was old and boring before it started. PvP lost it's flavor for the lack of rated warzones, but that's just not fair, 1.2 imbalances is what really hurts lvl 50 pvp more than anything else... At least if you could queue as 8 people and pick your warzone and had cross server queue'ing then the imbalances wouldn't matter as you would still be having fun playing with your friends which in essence is all an MMO needs to strive towards. Basically, if you are NOT having fun, you need to take a break. That is the only thing I can think of, a more robust pvp system will fix the fun factor of any burnt out pvp'er and well I can't help you in pve, you just have to wait for new content I guess or play wow/rift which caters to the PVE'ers more than any other game... Sorry but it's true, the only true dynamic content in any game is pvp, this has always been the case since the first games that introduced it many many years ago. You will hear many people talk about Tera, GW2 and D3 but the truth is, even if you play them to escape swtor, if this is your love you know deep down you will be back. From a personal standpoint only Tera is any good, and only because of the unreal 3 engine and the pvp that is mind-blowing. Basically, if you have skill, strive to have skill, or simply want to play the game instead of have it play for you... then Tera is the game for you. If you are a bad, or a lazy or an R-tard then you will hate Tera and everything it stands for, it is really that simple, the game can't beat any other game because of the small niche market that it caters to, swtor and other games try to cater to everyone so it will have many more players in general so don't look at Tera as the end all game or even a contender to beat other games cause you have a huge group of people who simply won't play it due to how much it takes to even play the game. GW2 is an instant gratification game that will have you spending more than $15/mo if you want to take it seriously, I personally would tell you to steer clear from it cause your pocket-book won't enjoy you afterwards. But in essence, it's just another point and click game like wow/rift/swtor, it brings nothing new at all and simply is a F2P micro-transaction nightmare. But the instant gratification is strong with this one, maybe worth buying to play like you would play call of duty, but not enough to spend any real money/time into, decent diversion tho imo. D3 is not an mmo and should not be even considered a contender, it does add new and innovative things to gamers everywhere though, namely a real auction house where you gain real life $ playing it. Def worth picking up for that reason alone, but at the end of the day, if star wars is your love (and it should be) just take a break and smell the roses cause eventually you will be back... P.S. tera will be my diversion for now, WTB rated warzones and all the other good server balancing stuff in swtor!
  6. class specific is not an issue, you can mail the item to the alt and have the alt purchase the gear... this should be obvious but i guess common sense is not that common...
  7. this, dont confuse balance with population. low pop servers have issues PERIOD, faction imbalance is not an issue... my server is pretty balanced and populouse, when ilum was going on, there was always more pubs than imps since it was the other way around at first and all the imps rerolled leaving the population the same but the balance in pub favor (at least for pvpers). but no one cried on the imp side as being outnumbered is more fun from a pvp perspective. but we didnt have issues with pvp queues cause both sides had tons of ppl and was always 8 v 8 unless tons of ppl left halfway thru which has nothing to do with this issue but another issue unrelated.
  8. i didnt see that post and i read the forums daily lol, i got hundreds and honestly dont care, i didnt want the crystal color since my main isnt a lightsaber wielder anymore so i didnt lose anything this event, unless you count the money i lost by not selling them... which honestly i dont care about.
  9. Big Wall of Text Crits You For Over 9000! You Die. Seriously, I might have read it but after 5 words I died...
  10. ravages? 3 seconds, force ligntings? 6 seconds since they tick for 1k max and multiply that by 4 and you still will have to cast it twice, tracer derpers? 4.5 seconds on average assuming a decent crit rate and also counting the stacks stacking, 4 ambushes? now that would be 2 seconds since it takes that long to cast and 4 of them should kill someone.. the problem you are missing is that rail shot is instant and only requires 1 person to put up incendiary missile to make them vulnerable literally letting them down the first person instantly and the 2nd person after a rocket punch and the 3rd person after another rail shot assuming the rocket punches all crit... so trying this later tonight!!!
  11. wow im stuck at work and saw the notes but didnt believe them, after reading this im very very happy!!!!! i might actually enjoy getting my 3 wins tonight before i go play tera for a few hours
  12. it's because powertechs are squishy and anyone can kill them, marauders and tankasins are not killable when their cooldowns are up, AND they still do tons of dps on top if it. no matter how you look at it, no one is going to complain about a glass cannon (ie powertech) when there are tank-turrets out there (marauder/tankasin). ive seen tankasins do 400k dmg 60k protection, yes you will have a powertech with 500k dmg 20k protection at the same time, but he always had way more deaths and no one cared cause he was easy to kill... and marauders just destroy ball carriers making them way more annoying than a powertech who only gets 2 railshots off then doesnt do much for a little while (burst is way down). here is the kicker, no one wants marauder, tankasin or even powertech dps lowered... all they want is tankasin and marauder survivability lowered in the form of nerfing their cooldowns... im sorry but 99% dmg reduction for 5 seconds is flat out stupid. and tankasins have 2 amazing cooldowns on a 45s and 1min cooldown which is just way too fast for pvp and trivializes content in pve... powertechs were nerfed, they were way worse before 1.2, dont beat the dead horse... for the most part ppls dmg is fine, it's the other stuff which give them unfair advantages in pvp that ppl want nerfed.
  13. /signed, though my brother may be close, he had a baby and was only able to hit 37 but has an active account since launch, im not sure how close he is to legacy 6 tho since he got there before the nerf to legacy xp, he may actually be 6 lol, ill have to make sure he gets there before this date though, $15 goes a long way.
  14. you are only right for a properly programed game. this game is not one, for htis game you are wrong though you shouldn't be. ive tested this. ive tested 4 gib, 12gb and 32gb on this game of ram and only the 32gb doesnt have ram lag. ive tested regular 7200rpm and ssd and only the ssd doesnt slow down in crowded areas. all using the same super powerful vid card. trust me when i say these things as ive tested this game with them whereas when i run any other game 4gb and 7200rpm harddrive dont slow me down at all. i can run tera at max settings using this setup without any lag at all! keep in mind, the lag only occurs because of the 27" monitor as that alone causes more lag than low med or high settings... but this stupid game loads from the harddrive all the time in crowded areas, it's ridiculous programming at it's worst! funny thing is. my 4.3ghz processor is now my only bottleneck, i didnt think that was possible, but everything else is so much faster that it is the only thing slowing me down.
  15. you will need 4x the ram and an SSD to even begin to run this crappy game at any decent fps. i have a pc with those near settings and i have to run the game on low and i still have tons of lags.
