  1. Holy #@!$ I am such an idiot...so sorry, so dumb...thank you.
  2. For the past few days, mine have both shown as 0% and the tool-tip shows a hefty negative. As I'm gearing and augmenting, I would like to be able to see these, but really I'd like it confirmed that this is a display issue and not actually a true depiction. Has anyone else encountered this? If so, is it reported? Can we confirm that shield and absorb chances are what they should be?
  3. I believe that if you simply rename the loading screen file, it will be gone. You'll presented with the graphics redraw that occurs when you move locations so experience will vary. On my computer, the redraw is practically instant, so the loading screen was a complete waste.
  4. There are some detailed theory posts lately (look for one that has something like "sage point of view" in the title). That said, I believe the consensus is power above everything, almost (or even over) willpower. I think the third stat is accuracy up to 110% (for PVE), followed by surge. Please though, seek out one of the real posts.
  5. Each tree really only has a few added skills. The amount of bar adjustment is minimal. Also, you can set them up in advance and scroll to them.
  6. If you just want to completely make things up, then you don't need a video game to be a basis. Most RP is done within the structure of the game, expounding on what exists as 'fact'.
  7. Was wondering the same thing... also recently built a new machine, cranked the settings all the way up, and then wondered why I was still watching things 'draw'. Previously I'd just assumed it was the result of playing on an 8 year old, underpowered computer. Now we know it's poor game design. Fitting.
  8. Speeder trick is faster than resummoning though.
  9. The way I answer this choice when leveling is to check and see whether my skill tree choices have activations that depend on crit. If you have crit based skills, then go full hog on crit, if not, all power. You aren't going to reach diminishing returns during leveling, so I don't think keeping a balance matters.
  10. I think the answer is to have them each as miniature little story lines that cover at least a couple of hubs. Right now, almost all side quests are one offs. If the stories carried through a bit longer, you could feel more involved. Truly though, there's a limit to how many stories someone can or wants to keep track of. Junk quests are pretty much necessary in this type of game to keep level progression without grinding or seriously overweighting main story quests.
  11. Depending on my level, I either do or do not take the side quests at each location. I look to stay a couple levels over the class quest level. I try to do every heroic that I can solo and any others that I can find groups for, but don't harp on them if no one's around. Rewardwise, they are more worthwhile. Just recently, I've started doing some of the planets' bonus series. I've noticed they tend to have better rewards, and the content is fresh to me as I haven't already done it with every alt.
  12. I've tried to, but it's way too stupid, assanine, and idiotic. And rambling, and useless. But hey, at least you can color your text!
  13. 1 in 10 is for all intents and purposes a tiny share of the market. There's no reason to cater to that small of a segment when there are already workarounds to make your overpriced status symbols adapt to the rest of the world's software.
  14. Because it's an absolutely inane suggestion. "Excuse me forum trolls, but are you such sheep that forgettable video game dialogue imposes it's will on you?"
  15. Do they still have Compuserve also? Anyway, wow, I had no idea. We need to get this fixed ASAP. I'm bumping clean water and mosquito nets down notches and making unlimited internet our top priority. To OP...if you have original disks, install from them first. The patch updates will definitely not cap out your 10 gigs.
