  1. Are they really not forcing me to transfer? I'd beg to differ. All of the good PvP focused players that are not also good PvE players with strong ties here will be leaving. If I play the game to play competitive PvP, there would be no point in me staying. Sure, they aren't forcing me to put in my credit card info and selecting transfer, but the dealer has a 10 showing and I'm sitting on 11. Moral of the story, my hand is forced and I'd be a fool not to take the opportunity. That is, unless I find some sort of sick gratification in fielding a good team against PvE focused players.
  2. There's a lot wrong with this kind of thinking. But I'll just leave it at that instead of going on a long rant as to how it's unjustified. We can just agree to disagree. I'm not too bothered I just thought there should be a system in place that does favor the person currently on the server but at the same time gives some credit to the rest of us that pay the same fees and in many cases more, and for longer - not to mention that we will be paying an additional fee to transfer.
  3. I think Zach is right, Terethyn has just been out and about seeing who's moving. And of course we all want to represent the Shadowlands name well. P.S. The name Lanry is dead to me. I will be contacting SWG name generator to find me a new gem.
  4. For one reason or another - as I half expected - Lanry is taken by a level 1 Jedi Consular on Prop5. Am I surprised? Nope, I probably should have seen it coming and should have done my due diligence by reserving the name right when there was a possibility of transferring. That being said I think there need to be name change rules with these paid transfers. Some foundational facts: 1. Transfers cost roughly 15 dollars - many of us have multiple characters so we may end up paying a lot more money than we should have to for them to click copy and paste (since they've already written the code to transfer characters). 2. Some of us spend way too much time on this game - aka our time logged between all of the characters is ~40 days or more. 3. There is a possibility of malicious name steals, for children anything is cute and funny. 4. Sure names don't really matter all that much - but they do matter when someone is using your name for the wrong reasons, whether it be intentional or if they just created a character and decided it wasn't worth it, or they lack ingenuity - looked around at server posts and stole names. 5. I'll hunt you down if you are the one that stole the name and hit you with rocks - if you will please change the name I would appreciate that. If you think that it's just too damn funny then have fun with it and enjoy your summer because I think you're just so cute. My suggestion for Bioware: 1. If the name is taken by a level 30 or above on the destination server, then the name should be kept by that player. At that point the person is dedicated enough to keep the name and it's unfair for incoming transfers to steal it. 2. If the character coming in is below level 30, they cannot "steal" a name from a player on the server. 3. If a player is transferring a level 55 character, that character should get the name and the other character should have to change. At this point I have no way to fix this problem and will be transferring with a new name. Of course I wish to change it and it's unfortunate that the circumstance arises but what can you do.
  5. I have to bow out R/L stuff came up. Hope you guys have fun.
  6. He's most upset because he doesn't understand how to use forum signatures - he just randomly typed some stuff in a box once and it keeps showing up. Now he's just stuck typing "Regards, KK" after every post, which makes him rageface-a-pottamus.
  7. C.K. is right and I share his concerns. You may want to play less.
  8. Rejin is sick wit it on his smash. Played two warzones against him, sage'optimus, Capium on his smash and then on his sorc and Ambey in the first. They were the best two matches of the day despite Ambey destroying the commando healer that shouldn't have been left alone on west.
  9. Elane <Remnants of the Jedi> Also, glad I made Getz's signature!
  10. We may be talking about someone different then, the person I'm talking about is a short little operative healer whose name started with an F and whom I thought was Fauntleroy but I will say that this happened about a month ago and I haven't seen the person since. I believe the one I'm thinking about was in Inferno. Is there an F-name (starts with an F) over there that would get super defensive about starting to lose a huttball? Sorry about the mixup.
  11. This will certainly mark the end of our PvP community for anyone that takes PvP somewhat seriously. I'd rather they implement cross server ranked Q's. If that happens I am venturing to guess that most people will stay. They also need to add warzones that are not 8 man but 2, 4, and 6 man with different maps. They [bioware employees] have fallen into one of the better situations. WIthout much attention they have created a decent PvP platform. If they would have a straight up PvP patch that gave the PvP community what they deserve really, everything will be fixed and we won't need to transfer. That being said here's what I would want to see to not want to transfer: 1. Cross server Q capabilities 2. Balancing of Faction by allowing some warzones to mix faction (it's huttball.. why would anyone care if you're republic or imperial we are all just entertainment for the Hutts which have traditionally not cared at all which side you fight for, they just want their money) This can't be that hard to invision, it would also stop all of the QQing about which side is worse at warzones. People will finally realize that there are bads on both sides. 3. New warzones - with the ability to fight with less than 8 v. 8. 4. Balancing of classes - there have been some serious buffs with cool changes to how a warzone is played or should be played, but there are a couple of classes that people just agree can't be played in ranked warzones, every class should be playable in ranked. Including classes like vanguard/powertech tank/dps, commando/mercenary everything, scoundrel/operative dps, etc. Yeah, yeah before you even post your screenies about your leet hackzorz newbz on one of those classes truly ask yourself if you feel like the class is balanced and if you could beat ID's 8 man "A team" with that player on the team. So sure, Skillex can do terrible things to people on his merc when everyone is altaholicing or leaving him to free cast, or just being bad. But a focused team running mains will destroy a team that has a merc almost always. I'll stop there.. I'm sure there's more but those things would appease me.
  12. I'm still on the fence for this. In order to win a duel with a shadow (which I think is inarguably the most difficult class for a scoundrel/operative to solo other than another scoundrel/operative healer that is possibly dabbling in lethality but has hots) you have got to crit on your opener - if you can get it - and even more importantly you need to crit on your back blast. The filler attacks on scoundrel/operative like your bleed or your basic attack just don't do enough damage to win a duel if you're relying on them to just be high power based attacks. Just my 2 cents, I'd be very interested to see what people are putting out and how they are doing in duels. I imagine if you are an operative that spends time on the main node or at mid in huttball you'll get higher numbers with power over crit, but I think crit stackers (at least up to around 28% and the 15% PvE set bonus for back blast) will win more 1 on 1's. I think it's all about what role you should play and I think our role is very clear as concealment - take the off node.
  13. Always suspect when someone posts with no signature... Fauntleroy meet, Fauntleroy. I think Fauntleroy is a good player, but could really use a chill pill. He/she raged without any provocation.
  14. Need to find Vahka and Dabba...
