  1. Since when did modern MMORPGs have anything to do with real rpgs anyway? Besides, roleplaying isn't just about pvp'ing each other when you meet, I'm sure a flashpoint where empire and republic players had to work together to fulfill primary objectives while working against each other to fulfill secondary ones could be very interesting and create opportunities for roleplaying, if done right.
  2. Exactly. Create some form of scenario where, for whatever reason, empire and republic has to work together while the flashpoint also mechanics in play that allow the two sides to screw each other over. Perhaps there are certain bonus quests that one only side can complete, or bonus quests where you can somehow impede the opposing factions progress, but you still have to work together overall to solve the primary quests and there's some sort of extra reward for the "team" that solves the most bonus quests. I don't really imagine any MMO-producer cooking up something as elaborate as that, but if it would be anyone it would be Bioware and one can dream after all
  3. This is actually an awesome idea. Would also put a lot more "RP" into the "MMORPG" instead of just looting and levelling up.
  4. I have 3 or 5 points invested in the Vengeance tree
  5. Playing a level 45 immortal juggernaut myself, I have to agree with the assessment that we're quite PvP viable and can rack up quite a lot of valor and medals with taunt and guarding
  6. I'll certainly continue to play for a couple of months more, at the least. And when I stop playing and paying, it'll be due to general MMO weariness and not because TOR is particularily bad. In fact, it is quite a decent game, for an MMO. Looking forward to seeing how it'll get even better with patches
  7. I like starports and orbital stations, I just wish there was more to do there than just run down a corridor and click a door. It wouldn't seem such a bother if it was actually a sort of mini social hub, the orbital stations, instead of just a speedbump of sorts. It would probably also be a lot less annoying if loadtimes were better
  8. Good question actually, I guess I just got caught up in the trollin'
  9. "The silent treatment" is a known bug in women. Workarounds include grovelling, gifts or not giving a **** depending on what kind of woman you're dealing with
  10. I'm sure you're more than welcome to make your own "hottest male" thread if you want to
  11. A wizard did it. Also the reason why Obi-Wan adresses Darth Vader as "Darth" in the early movies. Don't think about it too much or the numerous patchjobs of trying to make it all fit together will become painfully obvious
  12. It makes about as much sense as two jedis standing 10 feet away, looking straight at you and not doing a damn thing about you slaughtering a platoon of republic military conscripts. I believe in these cases, there's something called "suspension of disbelief" even though yes, when you're promised to be "rolling in credits" or something similiar the immersion-breaking is rather glaring
  13. Although if you could name your ship, you can be sure you'd see some "Your mom" locations when checking guild details
  14. In a world where your immediate superior's gender might not be readily apparent or even existant, "sir" is a used a catch-all so nobody gets butthurt when you call them the wrong thing.
