  1. Yes, bought a brand new i7 8 months ago, and this game runs like crap in Ilum/WZs/Fleet. It's one of the myriad reasons I cancelled.
  2. Not going to happen with them being named in the cutscenes. Story always trumps gameplay in SWTOR's design decisions unfortunately.
  3. Completely epic Black Talon run tonight where the instance got so bugged to hell with group members not appearing on the screen or winding up in a different phase after dying and running back in that when we all dropped the quest and switched to the normal mode, it still had us starting on the final boss in hard mode.
  4. Yet another example of where gameplay design took a backseat to the quickest, laziest way to check off a feature list on the box. They took something as simple as a text string in a database field and turned into a monkey *********** a football.
  5. Ignored. They were more interested in using us for glorified stress tests than bug fixes and enhancements.
  6. Quit trying to force me to play the game the way you want and let me play the game the way I want. Give me gameplay options to choose from instead of railroading into what you think is fun.
  7. Vet rewards for making it to month 2? Ouch, that can't be good.
  8. I've seen worse that that, and there are some blatant ones that aren't even "misspelled" to get around the filter. I'm not sure there even is a filter unless it only is looking for 3 or 4 words.
  9. Usually they just say "We're aware of the problem." and close the ticket without doing anything. I'm surprised you got a response at all.
  10. While more NVidia users seem to have fewer problems, not all NVidia users are problem-free. I run a GT 555M, and using the latest drivers or the newer beta drivers I still get FPS lag. I can have FPS as high as 110-120 on the fleet, and then if I move around it sits in the 50-60 range. As soon as I hit a cluster of people, or pass people sitting on their bikes who "pop" into view, my FPS drops to the 10s and sometimes single digits for a second or two. Same thing happens in warzones where the FPS just yoyos up and down. Just questing, I am usually in the 50-60 range.
  11. Well said, OP. One of the most offputting aspects of this is the attitude of Bioware's employees in interviews. It doesn't make me want to cut them much slack when they don't deliver.
  12. Consistently it seems where users rate (Metacritic, Amazon, etc) the score is closer to 6 or 7 on average. The critics consistently are rating it higher. That doesn't mean the critics were paid off, but it does reflect there may be an emphasis in the industry to inflate ratings due to hype.
  13. If you approach it as a single-player game with optional co-op play, it's a lot of fun. If you approach it as an MMO, it's sorely lacking. I would give it a 6/10 overall, but it's only going to have a shelf life of about 6 months for me at most. The gameplay is just too shallow to keep me paying monthly beyond that.
