  1. Problem is, the more testing they do, the longer it takes to release patches/updates etc, and then people complain about -that-
  2. Are you saying that you're not thoroughly enjoy riding the balloon for 30m? Or the crate-ride on Hoth?? -tsk-tsk- LOL, I'd love to have a workaround for some of those pesky datacrons as well!
  3. I think I'm missing the point of the whole "mentoring".. If my friend needs help with a mission or FP or something, I just run him through with my say lvl 50 toon.. why would I want a system that drops my armor/health/skills etc? Sure, I kill his mob-xp, but he still gets full xp for bonuses and main quests completed. Which is where the majority of our xp comes from anyway. So why do people want a system that would gimp them down to low lvl? Or just make an alt and keep it at your friend's lvl..
  4. There -are- some Jedi armor without a hood, though I would not exactly call it a robe.. Just Google image search "Aspiring Jedi Knight's Vestment"
  5. If I asked my friend to pick up some milk for me from the Kwik-E - Mart, and he brought me chocolate milk instead, we'd have a good laugh about it. Once After that, I would be very specific when/if I ever asked him again to pick up any dairy product.. So why is it that when I send out my companion on a gathering mission, all I can do is say "Grade 5 biochem sample"? Why can't I say "Get me some red goo, not the green fungus"? High end gathering missions can take up to 30+ minutes and cost 2k a pop.. which is fine, as long as I get what I wanted/needed, but I don't. I understand that every Grade has Tier 1 and Tier 2 mats, and the result of a gathering mission should have some randomness to it. However, I consistently do not get the mats I need, which means instead of being able to use the crew-mission system, I will have to go to Planet-X and manually gather those mats. Doing that defeats the whole crew-mission idea, not to mention I get bored quickly of driving around Alderaan at lvl 50. Any chance of getting new, more specific gathering missions?
  6. I guess cause of "replay value"? If you were guaranteed to get something useful on every run, then how long before you got all you needed from a specific FP? Maybe 4-5 runs tops.. then everyone would want new OPs/FPs and new gear.. By having a "random drop factor", BW extends the lifespan of the game. -Or so I assume that that's their reasoning-
  7. To me, in theory, it sounds like a great idea.. I spend (waste) way too much of my actual playing time sitting at the fleet, spamming "LFG".. btw, I also have my LFG tab filled out as well.. and no one wants to run anything.. Yes, friends list and guildies, that's where most ppl first turn to, so saying that I'm spamming LFG at the Fleet should indicate that all other options have been exhausted. So, I'd love to be able to group with ppl from other server for FP runs..
  8. This is not a huge thing! I know other issues that are much higher priority, but maybe add a direct to ship option to the shuttle at the Black Hole? When I'm done with the dailies, I have no reason to fly (load) back to Corellia and then to my ship.. just give us the same shortcut all other shuttles have?
  9. Overall, I am not an advocate of BW allowing AC change either, with one exception.. if -they- merge servers. Currently, I got characters on two different PvP servers (long story), if BW merges those servers together, then I wouldn't mind rep-speccing one of my sorcerers into an assassin. I suppose I could have one sorc specced as perma-heal and one as perma DPS, but I know I'd never play the healer one.. I'd much rather change one sorc into a sin then putting it in mothballs.
  10. First thing she does is kill the rakata keepers.. Granted, under the circumstances most would consider it justified, however.. in BW-land killing=DS
  11. That is weird, I got a Sentinel, Gunslinger and Sorc past Act II, and they all get each others' buff. Since they are cross-faction, said buffs show up accordingly, ie on my Rep chars, the Sorc buffs appears as the Consular one..
  12. Actually, there is a quest on Coruscant, called something like "Face Merchants", that revolves around plastic surgery.. So the ingame lore is there, now we just need BW to implement it for us players!
  13. Agreed, companions are not smart, especially when it comes to CC and their AoE. However, I never really had the OP's problem. Granted, usually I am fairly close to my healer when I aggo, and they do heal me to the best of their ability. On that note, companions have skill, which have global and individual cool-downs. If you are taking too much damage, because your gear is sub-par or you aggroed too many mobs or the mobs are too high level, then they will not be able to keep up with the damage. Also, if they have outdated gear, that will severely affect the effectiveness of their heals. Nonetheless, smarter companions would be much appreciated..
  14. Personally, I don't really care.. However, if you want this for realism, where would you stop? Say, night time.. would NPCs (vendors, quest givers etc) go home and cease providing all services till 8am the next morning? What about humanoid mob (thugs, soldiers etc) would they also disappear? Would I need to purchase and equip (offhand slot ) a flashlight when outside a city? I find that day/night cycle just add a bunch of annoying "features" in most game, the least being having to crank up my gamma so I can see where I'm going..
  15. sooooooooooo, you're saying that because you picked a class that dual-wields, BW should just give you 2 color crystals instead of one? What about all the other dual wielding classes, gunslingers, mercs etc? Also, let's say BW obliges and you do get 2 green-black crystals for the price of one, how would that be fair to all the other single-wielding classes?
