  1. Personally, I try to play my Consular along the lines of a LS ********. There are plenty of non-darkside options (neutral even) that allow you to do this. I particularly enjoy the ******: "Sounds dangerous, I'll handle it." or "A little challenge is no concern to me." I typically won't go with the ultra-douche responses like: "There's incompetency, then there's YOU people." responses, but I have no problem whatsoever telling one of the villains to stick it somewhere unpleasant as opposed to the token LS trying to talk it out. Would a broader range be appreciated - sure. But then we're playing a Jedi, not a Smuggler so I guess what we've been given suffices for now.
  2. I am gearing up a lvl 50 Consular Sage Telekinetics Spec From what I have read, my hierarchy should be: Willpower >= Power/Force Power > Crit (30%) = Surge (75%) > Alacrity The way I have geared thus far was to stack my surge and crit to those specified limits so I'm currently sitting on 32.28% Crit (a little over I know) and 259 Surge (or 74.92% Crit Multiplier) on top of 1696 Willpower. Am I on the right track to try and maximize my Surge to 300 for the 75% multiplier or would my stats be better prioritized in other ways? Thanks in advance!
  3. I'm playing a Jedi Consular Sage - (DPS) Telekinetics Spec Currently, I have 1 piece of the Campaign armoring in my Revan's Lower Robes and 3 pieces of the bonus (I know it was dumb to give up the set bonus, but then I'm only a Campaign armoring in Revan's Robe (Chest) away from getting it back. Bought a few pieces of gear off of GTM (auction) that actually had better stats than anything the lower grade comm vendors were selling and for the rest I'm rolling with a couple pieces of PvP gear to fill in the gaps until I can replace them with proper PVE gear. I'm also maxed out in Artifice but then I assume to gain the ability to craft the better Enhancements, Hilts, etc. I'll likely need to extract and RE them from the gear the drop from (which doesn't help me gear up now =P lol ) I'm relatively new to level 50 content in this game but I played WoW for several years before this game came out anticipating it (HUGE KoTor fan - and I sincerely hope this game lasts because I NEVER want to have to go back to WoW). So I'm not a COMPLETE n00b to what's going on - just more or less trying to figure out how Bioware's got things laid out for gearing and tweaking my character for endgame content. Anyhow, probably TMI. But thanks, for info!!
  4. Apologies if this question has already been asked and answered. I've noticed that I'm able to swap out the armoring from my PvP gear and place it into another item and retain the set bonus. And from what I've read the high Campaign PVE gear can do the same. I've also noticed that where many forums said the BH gear didn't carry a set bonus apparently a recent patch must've changed that as it now does. I'm rockin' Revan's Robe and Lower Robe and a custom head slot, because, well, I find most of the endgame gear stupid looking/hideous lol My question is: With recent updates does the BH gear now maintain it's set bonus off of the armoring (which I could easily extract and put into my current gear) or is it based off of the shell still? Will I be best off to use my commendations to buy the BH armorings first as to maintain the set bonus then obtain the gear to pull the mods and enhancements from? Thanks.
  5. Okay, so I'm just basically looking for some quick tips here. I'm still only level 15 so I'm just getting started with tanking. I've been a few other places, found some sound advice and builds (mostly at max level though) The tricky thing that I've been trying to figure out is how to go about gearing/finding gear. Naturally, I understand that Endurance is priority for any tank when gearing up, but I'm curious about finding Strength and Willpower. Obviously Willpower is the easier of the 2 to find, but what about Strength? Not one single piece of Light gear that I've come across comes stock with Strength as a dominant stat on it. So if my stat hierarchy is: Endurance > Strength > Willpower Do I scavenge for mods to make up the Strength void or am I missing something? Maybe it's just because I'm at lower level. Anyhow, any insight/advice is appreciated.
  6. Not going to lie. I had considered this myself for a hot second. But soon after playing the Beta and starting my actual subscription, I couldn't really see the value in dropping $60+ for crap that I could just as easily find on youtube, here, or other free resources. And as many others have already said, leveling up in this game is basically laid out for you - you don't need a guide to regurgitate what in game quick tips already lay out and otherwise patronize you and insult your intelligence. Here's a list of my favorite websites to visit for info: SW:TOR Wiki - http://swtor.wikia.com/wiki/Star_Wars:_The_Old_Republic_Wiki Torhead (as mentioned by others) - http://www.torhead.com/ SW:TOR Crew Skills (one of my personal favorites) - http://www.swtorcrewskills.com/ TORWars - http://torwars.com/ Just lookin' out for your wallet brutha. Good luck.
