Well, I ruined a perfectly good character.
I made the decision to change my allegiance from the Republic to the Empire as part of the Ossus campaign. I thought that it would be cool.
It wasn't. It was really, really stupid.
I'm not entirely sure what I thought would happens, but what I DIDN'T expect was, "Secretly supporting the Empire while telling everyone the Alliance was really supporting the Republic, and becoming a low-level saboteur for the Empire, doing pointless, silly stuff while working for some random droid."
Honestly, that is the most pathetic, imbecilic plot line I've ever encountered (or at least that I can recall). It is moronic on so many levels.
The development team should be ashamed for passing dreck like this their customers. I can absolutely see the staff meeting where the development team says, "Wow, we've really painted ourselves into a corner this time. What dreck can we shovel at our customers that a) requires the absolute least amount of work, and b) is the least embarrassing option given the fact that we are completely unwilling to devote any resources to this?"
Choosing to change allegiances should have a "back" button, for after people realize how silly the revised plot is, and for how little effort the developers put into it.
