  1. That was UNBELIEVABLY annoying, especially, as you mention, as a scoundrel (well, an operative). Like do it a couple of times so I can't stealth past EVERYTHING, fine, but it felt like every two damn feet I had skytroopers shooting at me FROM MILES AWAY, and ugh, such a slog. In spite of the OBVIOUS PADDING (forced fights + snares ugh), I felt the story was good, but a little too short. I did really, really like the different feel between the Agent and Everyone Else, though.
  2. Just another person who would really like a damned hood toggle. DAOC had one, for heaven's sake, SURELY they could figure out how to add one to THIS game. edit: I don't even care if it disappears like it does on twi'leks and togruta or has an actual down graphic. EITHER would be good enough for me.
  3. It's "normal" in the sense that yeah, every once in a while when an MMO patches, a fire starts and the downtime takes longer than expected. SWTOR's patch days usually go off without much issue, though. I'd say that's why people are freaking out over a couple of extra hours of downtime, but that isn't really the reason. The real reason is people flip out over pretty much anything!
  4. I'm stuck at 200 MB, it keeps telling me there's a network error.
  5. By the time I was on alt #4, I knew what planets I never wanted to do again and would do other things to fill in that XP gap, be it the on-rails space missions, PvPing, or doing some FPs. I also frequently duo'd with my husband, which made the planet quest conversations more interesting, because I couldn't fully control how the conversation would go. I did tend to focus on one class until the end of their story. Partly so I wouldn't forget what the hell happened up to that point, but partly so I wouldn't accidentally wind up having to do, say, Drommund Kaas three times in a row. And for repeats of the same class, I would just ... play through differently? My first smuggler was a lady gunslinger who was quite light side. My next smuggler was a dude scoundrel who leaned light side but wasn't chained to it. My third was a dude gunslinger who was a total sleazebag. Etc.
  6. I obviously don't speak for every PvPer out there but I would *hate* that. If you don't try at all, you're worse than an empty slot, because at least an empty slot would maybe get filled by someone. It would be less disruptive for you to just ask what the plan *is*, then do your best to help do it. Most of the WZs have pretty simple strategies, and I for one prefer new people who are at least trying to help than ones curled up in a corner, praying for the WZ to end. edit: I do find it kind of funny that my characters that I enjoy PvPing oncan already bypass the WZ requirement, though.
  7. Making charge baseline is great, but leaving it until THAT late until you learn it? That's freaking absurd.
  8. Would still like this, because while yes, I can respec in the field, I still have to rebuild my damn bars every time, and that is really, really annoying.
  9. I assume longer montrals don't work well with the male BT4, but ... man, the other BT dudes look *weird* with the teeny short ones since we all got used to the longer ones on the NPCs.
  10. I had an extremely brief (like two days) lapse of my subscription, because my card changed and I was on a trip when the account actually lapsed. Other than that, I've been subbed the whole time!
  11. If they don't want the RNG conversation to decide their fate ... they can ... solo? We're not asking duoing be forced, just supported, exactly the way it was before SoR. If the expansion is drilled down to be as "personal" as the class stories are (as it sounds like it might be), it's not as big a deal, but SoR was pretty dang generic for the vast majority of the scenes, and frankly, kissing Theron was not worth the trade off of my JC and my husband's JK not being able to do anything of significance with each other, which was kind of sad, considering they had been in a duo together since Tython.
  12. C'mon, we're not doomsaying, but Shadow of Revan was an unpleasant surprise for people who play like we do, and we'd just like to know if that's the new normal. And if it is, that's disappointing. No harm in letting that be known in a polite way, which is definitely what the thread has been doing so far.
  13. You're not alone, I spent the bulk of my SWTOR time prior to SoR duoing with my husband (we were even able to duo the Forged Alliance tactical FPs!), and loved it. It kept the planet quests fresher upon replay for sure, and it was fun to see how he was shaping his character's personality versus mine (when we finished our JK/smuggler duo, we agreed those two probably stopped talking not long afterwards). So when Shadow of Revan came out, we were both pretty disappointed to discover all the instances were "personal." When leveling up, that didn't bother us when it was just the class quests ... it made sense to spectate that, and since we were never the same class, we didn't have to repeat anything just to get it done for the other person. I didn't ALWAYS duo with my husband, and I'm okay with soloing, but ... duoing being so fun was one of the things that made SWTOR special, and I'm really sad if that's been lost forever.
  14. I hope not, because frankly, most of my characters have zero interest in having babies. Nearly every single one of my characters picked the "no babies, thanks" response to any and all mentions of them in their conversations.
