  1. Gunnery gives you more ammo regen when using AP. Assault tree gives bonuses to Plasma's DoT.
  2. I was able to get 6/9 for the weekly today in a couple of hours. Haven't had any problems with wins not counting lately. Btw, I play Republic on an Empire dominated server (big surprise). Gotta love going up against 8 Inquisitors in Huttball.

    People who think Mercs/Commandos are literally only using one skill are ignorant. Bioware designed the Gunnery tree so that many of my other abilities synergize with Grav Round. For example, the Grav Round debuff "Gravity Vortex" buffs the damage of my Demo Round. This debuff also allows me to use High Impact Bolt which normally requires the target to be burning or have a DoT on him. Grav Round also procs Curtain of Fire which refreshes Full auto and increases it's damage but a good amount. So yeah, I use Grav Round a lot but people generally die from my Demo Round or High Impact Bolt. They just don't notice because they are instant cast.

  5. I'm not really sure what the point of Tionese gear is. By the time I had enough commendations/crystals to buy anything, I had mostly Columi gear from Hard Mode drops. The same goes for the T1 PvP gear.
  6. Sorc's also need armor made out of lightsabers and dual miniguns please. They are currently unplayable.
  7. That must be why there are 5 or 6 sorcs in every warzone, because they suck so bad.
  8. Not really sure how people can view this as anything but an exploit. An ability that kills an enemy player instantly is obviously unintended, especially when it negates any strategy or tactics used by the enemy team who had to fight their way to the goal line. Obvious exploit is obvious.
  9. My spec is 5/31/5. Like I said, I don't have problems with many Sorcs but the Good one's who utilize all of their abilities and LoS me are a pain in the ***. They pop out, throw dots on me, and then go back to pillar humping. I'll charge in and then they CC me, get a new bubble, and sprint away. The Battlemasters who are geared out can even go toe-to-toe with me on damage and just facetank me while interrupting half of my skills. It's just very frustrating trying to fight them with all the tools they have available vs. my 4 second stun and melee range knockbacks. Don't get me started on the Huttball bias towards Inquisitors/Consulars.
  10. I use two pieces of Columi/Rakata for the +15% Crit chance to Grav round from the set bonus, everything else is Champion or Battlemaster for the Expertise.

  12. I'm having a really tough time taking on good Sorcs 1v1 as a Gunnery Commando and was wondering if you guys have any tips for me. Their shields combined with their insane amount of CC, ranged interrupt, short cooldown super sprint, and damage that is at least on par with ours if not better, makes it very difficult for me to beat them. I have full Champion gear and should be hitting Battlemaster today or tomorrow. I generally don't have problems with any other class (thats not to say I beat them all easily but it's at least a 50/50 chance) but good sorcs just make me feel helpless the entire time.
  13. I generally use Grav Round->Grav Round->Demo Round->HiB -> Full auto (if CoF proc). You will only have 4/5 Gravity Vortex for this but I think the tradeoff of 5% damage on Demo vs. Higher ammo regen and shorter rotation is worth it. I generally use hammer shot after the rotation to help with the ammo regen and I use Sticky grenade if I have ammo to spare or if the target is running away.
  14. The only medal I have problems with getting as Assault over Gunnery is the 300k damage medal. I can usually get this pretty easily as Gunnery but I have to try really hard just to get into the high 200's as Assault. It might just be that I'm still stuck in the gunnery mentality and not spreading around the DoT's enough.
