  1. I haven't got to the story content yet (but feel underwhelmed by combat changes, a very EA move, straight from the marketing department) but being an optimist for a second.. maybe just maybe, they have done a lot more story that they'll drip feed in future patches. 2 hours for an expansion with all the hype is laughably bad. I'm not holding out hope but this sounds more like a patch at best in terms of content.
  2. Downloaded it and tested it for an hourand that was about as much as I can stomach. Ability pruning is not the way, ask Blizzard how well that was received, WoW refugees became a thing and Square Enix happily gobbled them up and FF14 now has more active subscribers than WoW. Hopefully the backlash on the forums will effect the direction they go in and they go back on some of the current ability prunes but from what I experienced I'm just going to go out and say it, older mmorpg fans will understand what i mean but in it's current implementation this is the NGE of SWTOR.
  3. Thanks yeah I figured it was my best course of action, perhaps they can restore the character for me or something.
  4. I was deleting an old character for it's name, sending mail to a dif character of the stuff I wanted to keep over (my fault for not using legacy storage really) anyway after deleting the character, I clicked return to sender on my stuff. My experience with mail issues in the past is that you wait 30 days for it to default return to you but does this apply to deleted characters too?
  5. Probably a low tier bait but honestly, 6.1 feels more like a maintenance mode update than a big update tbh but then again I'm probably spoiled by ShB.
  6. I have the Sith counterparts to both at max level and both are great choices imho. My biggest gripe with Shadow is that I only like 1 of their DPS specs while Sent has fantastic choices for all three which are varied and fun. If I could only pick one though, it would be Shadow simply because of the tanking option. Once you get comfortable and get used to setting the pace, it can be frustrating at times being forced to go at another tank's pace. I also just absolutely love that one DPS spec that I do like and could play it all day and not get bored. Also personally, I really dislike Shadow's animations (that is Shadow specific btw, I love the Assassin ones) so out of those personal two, I'd go Sent for that reason alone, dual wielding always looks super cool.
  7. Descent of the fearless without question, it's an amazing set. Unless you are doing everything solo, that's a no contest.
  8. Doing a FP and having the best tactical for my spec drop yet lose the roll because a completely different class rolls for it. With the way things are all bind to legacy now, the comparison to FF14 and it's job system makes some sense. For those who don't know, basically the only people who can roll need for items are those who can use them. With the way things like tacticals are, this loot system makes so much more sense. It stops people being greedy too as you can't roll on an item if you already have it. This means those who can use the items get the ability to roll need while everyone else who can use it for their other jobs/alts have the option to roll greed.
  9. Huh, I've been a sub for the last six months and I definitely don't want Hull Ball gone, I absolutely love it.
  10. I really enjoy both, I prefer Guardian though, once you get used to being the designated puller, you can set the pace of flashpoint runs and going from that to a squishy lower level Mara and having to rely on others to pull can be painful at times especially when everyone seems reluctant to.
  11. Making a few new characters as I have a few weeks off work.. the beginner areas are literally filled gold farmers spamming messages every minute. The beginner areas used to be great, new players excited about playing one of the best Star Wars games made story wise. Now it's just silence, gold farmers and the odd guild recruitment. New players must think the community is really bad or something, going from gold spam of new areas to Barrens chat 2.0 that is DK chat. This problem is nowhere near as bad in other MMORPGs that I play or have played.
  12. The starter planets used to be decent. Never perfect but it was always a welcoming place for new players will a bunch of people like myself experienced enough with the game to answer the newbie questions. Now it's literally just gold spammers from my experience. How do new players feel about this? They start the game and just see chat blasted with gold spammers then go experience DK chat which for those of us who remember, is essentially Barrens chat 2.0
  13. Absolutely loved it. While I've read some Star Wars books, I've not read much on Qui-Gon and honestly, he comes across in this book as one of the most interesting Jedi around and rewatched Episode 1 after finishing it and could appreciate him in a completely different light. I remember looking at reviews though and people mentioned that he has actually been covered in the EU era extensively and I was wondering if anyone could give me some recommendations to check out?
  14. Thanks for testing that out. I'll focus my Agent on going one way then. It's annoying with agents because I'd choose based upon what makes most sense for an Agent and usually I found it to be quite split in my choices.
  15. I'm planning on replaying the Agent story again, what choice is this? If you could say without spoiling, I imagine it has to do with the twist and who you face at the end of chapter 1. Thanks for your other post, that's really handy knowing. I'll make sure to take professions which reward DS points.
