  1. I am not one to jump on Dev most of the time but this was really a stupid comment. How can a item be in the patch notes for a few weeks not really be included? Just say the "fix" did not work and we are looking into another patch...Man you guys are really bad at talking to the community. The community team needs to start acknowledging the issues that are in the game whether there is a fix or not and not just ignore the concerns people are talking about. I agree a lot of the ************ is just ************ but if you guys could start addressing the community with comments like "We are aware of the issue and are actively looking for a fix" this should not be done in just one post it should be done over and over. Make it personal like "Thank You xxx for bringing this up, the Dev team is aware of this issue and are working on a fix" "Sorry we do not have an ETA on the fix at this time but as soon as we do we will let you and the rest of the community know" Also: BioWare you guys need to get control of your test team or at least make the internal test team larger. VMC and the other out source companies are pretty much useless outside Redmond WA. I am also hearing you are using a lot of offshore resources I am sure this is EA's doing but you need to rein that in cause those companies just want to be paid and have no vested interest in the game success.
  2. Well that cleared things up nicely for all of you that were "thinking" you had seen marked improvement to the ability delay Rigota has come up with irrefutable proof that you were wrong. Thanks Rigota please let us know when things are working correctly. Would hate to have to form our own opinion about things.
  3. Can we please get this thread closed. These pointless back and forth discussions lose all merit after repeating the same issues over and over again. The OP hates the game and is quitting, others do not hate the game and are not quitting. I know, why did I even bother to open the thread if I do not care about either side??? 1.) I am at work slacking off 2.) It is like a train wreck and I could not look away. So please can we close this thread so we can all move onto the next "I quit" post.
  4. They did fix the fence and now they are going to tame all the dogs that just could not stop digging the hole even though they knew they were being very bad dogs...
  5. As a former employee of a company that has released a lot of pay to play games I can tell you that the expected drop off after the free month is 30% of people that bought the game will not sub. This is the industry average (well it was when I was still doing online gaming) The goal of all pay to play games is to limited this drop off and to increase subs month to month. This is a really good game (that has bugs and issues that need to be addressed) but I do not expect that the drop off will be more than 30% and if they can show a commitment to fixing the issues I expect a lot of new players will come on board as well as old players coming back. I for one hope that BioWare does pull it off cause this is good game that can be great.
  6. You are so right. Shame on them for showing us stuff that they were working on and we want...
  7. It appears you missed the word "HARVESTED" I know they are not being nice. They are being smart and using the current broken system to the fullest.
  8. This was done so the Reb would start spawning again, sitting on the spawn spot seemed to break the spawn. Pulling back a bit to allow players to spawn so they can be harvested makes more sense.
  9. I have zero faith in BioWare now. This is just shocking, how that hell can you not know this was going to happen? The apparent lack of insight into your own game leaves me feeling like you should have maybe not wasted the 300mil to build this. There clearly needs to be more internal testing and if what people are saying is true "listen" to the public testers. Oh well, at this point whatever half *** fix you come up with just bust something else.
  10. I agree time to stop this silly practice. I see these low levels just hanging out waiting to open the box it is sad...
  11. Thanks for sharing your opinion in an intelligent way. That is a refreshing change from the majority of the posts here. That said I think you may be wrong on this one. You glazed over the Star Wars franchise pull and the clear fact people want a "new" MMO. TOR is a WoW expansion without Pandas:) It has a new setting and some new mechanics but it pretty much a WoW clone. It does have all the features that a WoW expansion should have. - 2 New Raids - 3 New Ware Zones - New world PVP Zones - New Flashpoints (Dungeons) - New Gear to collect etc etc... This game really is a WoW clone and that is what people want, well at least 11 million people wanted this at some point. They have a number of things that need to be cloned, like UI customization and flying mounts etc... but for the most part the core of a great clone is here. This issues will be addressed and more people will come looking for the "new" game and stay as the cloning process gets more and more completed. I think they have a great model to be successful. Star Wars + WoW = success
  12. You really should try and stop making the personal attacks, we get it you disagree with him. That is your right in a free speech society but repeatedly calling him a lair is really not needed to get your point across.
  13. I think the "LINE" for hating the "GTN" interface is pretty long. Scary part is this is a vest improvement over the closed beta version. Since it is a Database it is only and matter of time before it is improved. What we have now is a "functional system" It is not a Game Breaker for me but I will not tear up when it is gone unless there tears of joy.
