  1. This is a pretty sweet game for me. It keeps me busy, with myself being a slow leveler and all. I've been playing for four months and my highest level is still level 31. Feel free to laugh, but I have a bunch of alts I like to play, so that may be why. Anyways, the gameplay is solid, graphics, while many may argue against me on this one, are the best I've seen in an MMO. I also like the lack of trolls, which I'm concerned will go away when people like them can join this game and ruin it for free. Can' t worry too much though. I'm actually excited for what will happen with this F2P. If it's implemented like LOTRO's, it should be pretty awesome. I love the stories, all of them. Even the Shadow's (the story could get dull, I'm only at level 16 on mine) is pretty cool to me, while a lot of others hate it. One of my favorites is the PVP. I used to think it was pretty crappy, but now that I'm actually good at it haha, it's pretty cool. It could be my favorite, now that I learned some strategies and don't suck at it. This game's awesome, and I'm excited to see where it will go in the upcoming content updates.
  2. The one thing I want to know is: If I were to stop subscribing during the free-to-play in the fall, but then resubed, would I lose all the good features like free content updates forever? Sorry if this is a dumb question.
  3. Free-to-play can be a good thing, if you use it right. I wouldn't mind it if SWTOR implemented a free-to-play system that was more like LOTRO's, where there IS a cash shop, but buying something doesn't totally screw up the balance, and there could be expansions (and I really hope there are expansions) that you could buy in the shop too. It would be a bad thing if it took the path of pay-to-win. THAT, would be a horrible thing. This game might not have to go free-to-play though. It's just struggling right now, like almost EVERY MMO goes through. Things could get better, or SWTOR can just copy LOTRO's free-to-play system. Either way, SWTOR still has the potential to be an amazing game.
  4. I just wish they could make light armor pants. I'm tired of wearing dresses. Well I know they're robes and not dresses, but I want some actual PANTS. Something that doesn't fluff up when I use the "sit" emote. Also, the headgear in this game is atrocious. I hate it when I get headgear with some kick-butt stats, and it looks like a piece of crap.
  5. So true. This almost sums up the whole maintenance thing.
  6. Honestly, all new games had a lot of unscheduled maintenance, and it's just a fact of MMO life. If you want a game that has almost completely solid maintenance schedules, look to WoW, LOTRO, DDO, and any other games that have been out there a while. I will admit SWTOR does have more maintenance post launch than many others did, but really, this game was kind of rushed out, and Bioware didn't have the time to work on as much as they needed to.
  7. Bioware shut down the game, work on it more, then try again? I mean, I know it would be a huge thing to do, just to completely shut down an MMO at a time like this. There's still a chance for this game, it just needs more time to grow. Even after being developed for YEARS, this game was just too big to be rushed into the gaming industry this early. There were so many plans, now Bioware has to work them in with updates that take months to launch. If everything is going as wrong as everyone says, why not just shut down the game and work on it for a little while longer? One thing though, there might just not be enough money for this to happen. I am really fearing that this game's demise is coming soon. I hope SWTOR can pull through.
  8. Don't get me wrong. I love everything else about SWTOR. Except the PvP. This is more of a post to ask what game has amazing PvP, one that can fill in the gap of this game's PvP.
  9. This is PROBABLY a stupid question, but do you think a lot of people don't want to play it, because they think Star Wars is just for nerds and they don't want to swallow their "pride" and play this game? Is it just because this game has "Star Wars" on the cover? :rak_02::rak_02:
  10. This thread is just to tell the developers, you know, if they read any player forums, that they have done an AMAZING job with this MMO. The voice acting keeps the story-lines gripping and interesting. The graphics surpass many other games. The game's use of the generic hotkey combat, to me, is used better than others. The lack of an auto-attack makes it a little more unique, and I kind of like it. And the fact that it's based on Star Wars, and that I'm a Star Wars nerd... Just an awesome job guys. Keep it up, and NEVER go F2P... You're too good for it. This is just my personal opinion, so any of you other players disagree, feel free to comment.
  11. I like the Rep Trooper. Both of their advanced classes are pretty fun to play as. Story-line is great in my opinion, mostly because: Also, the Sith Warrior, because: If you didn't read the spoilers, both of these classes have powerful abilities, and gripping stories. They're my favorites.
  12. You're going to find many people on MMO's are major jerks, and they put other people down so they feel like they know what they are doing. My advice? Get onto the general chat, ask for strategies, even ask on the forums for some strategies for your tank/healer/DPS. While there are jerks, there are also plenty of people out there that would be happy to help you improve in your skills as a player. It never hurts to point out during a flashpoint, "Hey guys, I'm new to the whole MMO thing, I hope you don't mind if I mess up sometimes, and if you could give me some hints, that would be awesome," I'll admit, there are people who would immediately kick you from the group after you say that. Most players won't mind, and will be willing to help you. If they complain about their "Perfect Game Experience" being ruined by you, they're being totally unreasonable and I would advise leaving that group and finding another, more mature group. Hope this helps.
  13. Sorry about my childish words and.... ah, well, stuff. Habbit.
