  1. I only have one i306 six-piece set for my "farm" toon, but in my legacy I have two full tabs of generic 306 dps gear for every gear slot, both sabers and blasters, and 306 mods, enhancements and armorings as far as the eye can see. i then have a third tab with all the tank 306 stuff. I just have one more tactical I want for the farming toon before I can consider it done being geared - now I just need to upgrade the lvl 10 augs up to lvl 11 but am waiting for the crafting patch to see if they come down in price or I can unlock them on my own crafters.
  2. I'm in the same boat. getting unspecified error message and telling me to try patch again. trying again just gives the message again. I even deleted the game off my PC completely, then redownloaded it off of swtor.com and when I get back to the launcher .. it still says "the application has encountered an unspecified error. please try this patch again" . what hamster did you guys accidentally kill this time?
  3. I'm getting the same. can't even access the repair option as it's greyed out and won't allow to be clicked. i deleted completely and attempted to download a fresh version of the game from swtor.com but that is also giving me the same message from the launcher.
  4. is there a way to at least download it before hand? the worst is having to download 50g to 60g on launch day, before then navigating all the issues. downloading early would at least let us have the files on our computers so one headache can be dealt with before tuesday
  5. it's generally up to RL as if a low-damage DPS goes down, sometimes it's better to save the B-Rez in case a tank or healer goes down later in the fight... if the pug with the i229 gear was hoping to get carried his first time ever through the content and stands in fire ... why waste the B-rez? he's just going to die again 5 seconds later when the fire mechanic happens again. or eat the next boss cleave
  6. if you're lvl 70 and full 248 that means you've played your toon hundreds if not thousands of hours in FP's, raids and group content. that means you know what you're doing. you know the instances. you know the mechanics. plus you've got all your talents, and skills and gear. sure the bolster might make a lvl 20 do 80% or 85% or 90% of whatever it's tuned to do on a max lvl character... but it's still not the same thing. because the lvl 20 hasn't been doing endgame on that toon for 4 or 5 or 6 years. so even with whatever half-*** bolster mechanic there is, they're still not within 5 lightyears of what a geared, experienced player can do.
  7. tell me about it. i had the character Trick, with a legacy Daddy. Trick the BH was made day-one of launch pretty much as soon as servers went live. it was the 1st toon I made (2nd overall since I reserved a name with pre-order). after merger I'm told I have to change Trick's name. it's highly doubtful someone signed up for Trick any earlier than I did, and now Trick Daddy legacy is useless. BW hates me
  8. i've got like 30 lvl 70's - sure i did it day one before the nerf. some characters it was easy and others it was a struggle. it was actually easiest for me on my geared healer with a lvl 50 lana so I could heal her through and DOT up / AOE damage the mobs while she deeps'd. it was a grind of frustration on my tank characters with trying my companions as healers vs as dps and trying to slog my way through. but regardless I saw it. several times. I rather like the idea of an easier, quicker run for my next 2-dozen + characters. games should be fun ... not rage inducing.
  9. first time there? absolutely watch the cutscenes. but some of this content has been recycled for 4, and 5 and even 6 years now. i don't need to watch the cut scenes for Hammer Station for the 8,982nd time; they haven't added any new story or dialog that would be worth watching. as for bonus bosses.. you're being a bit disingenuous as most of them have increased difficulty level and/or higher HP and hit like trucks compared to the regular bosses, and the guy who's usually all gung-ho for the bonus boss has 104,000 health and an ilvl of 219 lolz. i'll gear check my group. if everyone has i244 or higher than sure, lets' do the bonus boss. but if there's 2 fresh 70's and everyone is undergeared then no, i'm not doing it. sorry not sorry
  10. again, when they did the last 2 expansions and decided instead of coming up with new FP's to simply recycle the existing ones to first lvl 65, and then lvl 70, they didn't actually do a mechanics and damage and difficulty pass over on them. so as a result, several of the FP's are far too difficult - especially on veteran when there's low level characters, or 4Dps/2T&2D or some other less than optimal set up. i just bombed out of a manaan group on the second boss on vet mode (four dps). my dps juggy is i240, but the rest of the group was a lvl 20 merc, a lvl 33 assassin, and a fresh lvl 70 merc who just dinged seventy this morning so was in blue 220/230 stuff with only 1 piece of set gear at 230. the two lowbies had never been in manaan before. boss #2 can rage quit even a full group of 70's who have been there before. we were doomed from the start. games should be challenging yet fun. not make you want to punch a fist through your monitor. BW ought to give us a late xmas gift and if they're going to just recycle content that's 4 and 5 and 6 years old... at least retune it for 2018 and beyond.
  11. i just caught a kuat drive yard FP. it's been bugged since the start where the shuttle you click at the beginning that flies your party down to the actual FP bugs and after the shuttle flying through space clutscene you're right back at the shuttle hangar bay and it bugged out on you. there's no way around. it will be bugged no matter how many times you click the shuttle. you have to drop group and quit the FP. now I'm on a deserter lockout for another 10+ minutes, when I only had to quit because BW doesn't test content on the test server prior to pushing it through to live, and then they don't fix bugs in live ... at least unless said bug allows players to dupe credits because any bug that affects the economy affects their cartel market cash cow.
  12. 2018 is mere days away devs - maybe make your new years resolution to finally put more time into fixing bugs than merely recoloring old armor skins for the cartel market? surprise us ...
  13. Space Dork. they're a melee class and their main finishing attack is running around yelling "where's my companion at"!!!
  14. it's been well over a year under the current mechanics. half the Master mode FP's are far too easy, and the other half are way too hard. a FP like athiss or hammer station can be done with a gorup of naked 65's without even sweating it ... meanwhile lost island or traitor among the chiss will frustrate and rage quit even folks with a 248 ilvl. before you say it - yes i know you can solo any FP or nightmare mode raid and I should L2P, or cancel my account or whatever the negative troll types will brag on now-a-days.. but for the rest of us who aren't the leetest leets that ever leeted.. why is there no rhyme or reason to the difficulty levels in comparable master lvl flashpoints?
  15. remember the good old days - when loot came from bosses and you could target individual bosses / raids in order to get the exact gear piece drop that you needed to progress your character? those were the days hahaha
