  1. You can shield an NPC who is going to attack you after a conversation in a story area. But you can't buff a friendly NPC in your faction capital or fleet. It's all about INCONSISTENCY. It's all over the game.
  2. First of all, you should LIST all the suggestions and LET US VOTE. You will know what are really most needed from the numbers, instead of letting your feelings and affection decide what to do. And people would also understand if you choose what to do first from the numbers. You don't have to explain or give excuse on your choice. How are you going to decide if you just let people write down their thoughts randomly? There is no number. You don't write anything if you see someone already wrote it down, so you won't know if there are 1000 votes for a suggestion if the other 999 would think, okay, someone wrote already so I would just read. Learn some reasonable way to figure out the demand of the majority please.
  3. Run a normal FP with full Rakata? LOL Lets all the selfish hardcores stay and casual leave the game. Is this your suggestion? Not to mention that it requires a specific group to do it. This FP is absolutely impossible to pug.
  4. Unfortunately, EVERYONE DIES does not always solve the reset problem. You don't even have proof that Exit Area is the cause of the bug. When it bugs, it just bugs. You have no way to stop it. Instead of curing the disease, this only helps them to cover up the disease, let it lives longer. Besides, why you want everyone else to die when you die? Isn't this a selfish thought? Aren't you guys in the same guild, in the same boat? If those guy save their repair costs, isn't it going to benefit you as well if your guild is supplying repair cost? I would rather a MT who said 'I will stay keeping the boss, please exit to save your repair bill." , what's our MT usually does and everyone really love that.
  5. This HM FP is much harder than NiM KP. It should be renamed to Nim LI and the reward raised accordingly or it is pointless FTM. For 99% of the player base, THERE ISN'T ANY NEW FLASHPOINT IN 1.2. Keep the current setting and change it to NiM FP for challengers who loves it. But make a new real HM that matches the same difficulty as KUS. What's the point of blocking everyone from the FP by placing a 1st boss which is unbeatable by over 99%? Is this a HARDCORE ONLY MMO? Why make an FP that only favors less than 1% of your customers?
  6. It happened to my smuggler at first. I thought he was in a Take Cover whenever he logged on. Then the next day, it happened to my Jedi Knight. Hey .. I didn't know JK can take cover! Of course he is not. Guess there is just a kneeling pandemic around ... what's next?
  7. Well, I think at least the materials required to craft mod should be half or that for Armoring. I would rather buy the mods from commendation vendors because it only costs 2 marks, while the mats for the mods (especially blue one) is just not worth to craft them, not to mention you still need to have the luck and mats to get the blue schematics. Besides, the upgrade of stats between mods are pretty small even they are like 8 levels away.
  8. I think the real problem is probably, no one in BW knows how the whole thing is working now. They have programmers who can parse through source codes for partial solutions, but if that codes is affecting or affected by source codes from other categories, they get screwed up every time they tried to do something. They are not aware of the interferences and they probably lack the information of what is affecting what. This usually happens when someone plays a vital part in handling the whole thing but that guys left after the game is released. It takes a long time to retrieve the overall information and to fix it even with a good group able to parse or reverse engineer the source codes written by the previous programmer. It may take forever if they are not competent enough. Guess this might be what we are seeing and thus causing so many "We have fixed!" -> not fixed. "We have fixed" --> still happening reports on all sort of things.
  9. In many cases, either operations or flashpoints, exiting area during a boss fight causes a lot of reset bugs to appear, such as boss still in the middle of a phase, boss disappears, adds still around, boss not killable, .. etc. Probably they think disabling Exit Area would at least stop those bugs to appear less frequently. Instead of fixing the bugs, restrict the players' choice to suppress the bugs. That's what they usually do. The real trouble is, if you get stuck in a permanent combat state while inside an instance (such as keep falling through the wall or stuck on a wall but mobs can't kill you), which I have experienced many times and wasted hours trying to resolve, you are in trouble (Needless to say /stuck does not work). No way to exit instance or even log out or exit game. Restart computer and back, you are still in combat. You will be imprisoned forever.
  10. The OP gives me an exact explanation on why the game can't fix easy bugs and failed so much after a brilliant start. I was guessing the reason behind in the past few months, and it matches exactly. The story is really great. Game looks fine at launch, a lot of bugs are acceptable at that moment. But the game just seems to be not getting any better since then ...
  11. The progression is just stupid. You don't have to use anything then at one point, you are obliged to use EVERYTHING with some tight strategy to cross t hat point. Like you are doing HEROICS then at some point you need to complete a Nightmare Operation to reach t he next level. There is absolutely no tutorial or guidance. At level 50 with all the epic and items bought with fleet comms, I could only finished over 50% of the objectives although I could survive the Drexel Sweep. Tried two hours and I never meet 60% so I just gave up. Never bother to do space combat since then. Even if I might be able to cross that point after hours of struggling, there is no fun.
  12. Low level augments are scarce because of the 1.2 changes that ignores history of augments. Augments were gained through leveling of Slicing. However, with the new augment system, you can only obtain low or mid level schematics through running low/mid level Slicing mission. Most slicers are at max level and running low level missions for the low level schematics is a waste of time. If you don't get schematics, you can't make any low level augments. Not to mention that the Slicer CANNOT craft the augment himself unless he has a related crew skill, and people don't buy low to mid level schematics from GTN at a good price because the demandpirice for both schematics and low/mid level augments are low. It will probably take at least a month or two for those leveling Slicers to Generate schematics and put them on GTN. Still there will not be many of them. I tried to level an alt for that and found that the rate of obtaining a schematics is simply too low comparing with my leveling of slicing because you need a critical to get a schematics but you don't have enough companions and companion affection to generate that at low/mid level. I only got a few schematics before I reached the next level, i.e. there is hardly any extra schematics available to sell on the GTN because I don't even get what I need! And many few people will do that unless you have a lot of alts doing all the related screw skills. (I have all screw skills at level 400 and my level 400 Slicer needs to be focused on running level 6 missions for the epic mats... that sucks.) Well, another failed system design. Nothing worth surprised anymore.
  13. LFG can be replaced by General Chat if you are willing to chat in the general channel. Just that. See ppl keep shouting in general chat like LF1M need Healer, need Tank repeatedly for 30 minutes? There is nothing can replace it unless you find someone who can really help to heal or tank. Still pretty high chance you end up with 3 ppl queuing for hours waiting for the last heal/tank spot to fill up even with an LFG tool. If you think Dual Spec can wait and LFG is much more importaint, you are probably one of the 3 waiting in the queue for the last spot to be filled up. Now you will shout in general chat LF1M while in the LFG queue. Many part of the game is still in the state of Vanilla or at most TBC of WoW and it has been years since then, yet they don't think it is a serious problem.. that's why ppl are leaving.
  14. They should make it possible to combine multiple green mats into blue, then multiple blue mats into purple. Works really great in Rift and provide excellent flexibilities all over the game. You can split them in the reverse way too. I doubt they will listen. Looks like Pride is all over their head. Or maybe they don't have people able to work on it.
  15. Well, you don't know what happen behind the desk. They can ninja nerf it without being noticed and keep the tooltips staying at 20%. I have the same feeling with the OP too. I did a lot of RE right after 1.2 and it is just fine for 20%, then for the past few days, I RE over 50+ for some leveling blue schematics and only got 3 schematics, have to give up for just any blue schematics and compromise on an augmented green after 15+ tries. That is far from the result of expectation for 20%. The problem is probably, I don't have faith in them anymore.
