  1. This is a very good analogy to what the devs said. It takes much more ingenuity and effort to cut steak with a butter knife, than a steak knife. And everything that a butter knife can do, a steak knife can do better. Even cutting butter... I am curious about the future. Are they going to be putting things in that are difficult for a Sage, and probably impossible for a scoundrel? To use your analogy again, what if they want us to cut wood? A steak knife can cut wood, it is difficult, but possible. But no matter how much you struggle, a butter knife will never cut wood.
  2. I am inputting my stats and was curious about some of the numbers. Cunning: 1182 - Obvious. Power: 229 - Hover mouse over Bonus Healing Tech Power: 1112 - Hover mouse over Bonus Healing Crit Rating: 32% - This is the main one I am curious about. Is this the Tech Crit % you have? So I have 32.02% crit chance, is that what I put in? Surge Rating: 14 - Hover mouse over Critical Multiplier. Alacrity Rating: 296 - Hover Mouse over Activation Speed. The reason I ask is because some of the calculated values are correct (bonus healing, Crit Size, Bonus Damage), but two are off (Crit Chance and Cast Speed Reduction). I put my values in red. The calculated values are 13.17 Cast Speed Reduction and 25.64 Crit chance. My actual values are 9.17 and 32 respectively. Did I do something wrong or is it off because you are still working on the algorithm? Thanks!
  3. Yup. If an op/scoundrel has no TA/UH up, interrupt them once and you win. It is not healers that are super strong, just sages/sorcs.
  4. Exactly this. I just want a dev to say one sentence. Either "sawbones/medic is working as intended" or "we acknowledge the issue and are looking into it". This why I know if I should keep playing my sawbones waiting for them to not suck, or to roll a sage. If 1.2 rolls around and still nothing, I'll have made a permanent switch to sage at least until the first expansion.
  5. I think the best way to make smugglers better would be easy. Double the heal amount from SRMP and KC. Make KC hit 4 people within 10m, then off each person there is a splash to 4 people within 5m of them. So if it hits 4 people, and each splashes to 4 people, you have a 16 person AoE HoT. To balance it perhaps make the splash heal for half its normal heals (so what it heals for now), but if they are in range of 2 splashes, it is full. This way they dont get the full heal if they are outside the 10m initial cast and get hit by only one splash.
  6. Well I have the worst RNG in recorded history, so I guess I will wait. Will this patch happen next week?
  7. So I have a question: I am nearing level 50, I have one Champion bag in my bank, have have 1k merc and WZ commendations saved up. Should I buy/open them all before or after this patch?
  8. Can you imagine the rage that would be going on if one of the DPS classes had the best AoE attacks, the best single target attacks, and the best CCs? It would be like if they gave the JK/SW force speed, jump, AoE KB and troopers grapple.

  11. Lets say you are in a group with 3 other people. The group consists of 2 DPS, 1 tank, 1 healer. You are at the last boss and keep dying to him. The boss has a mechanic that you have to kill him in under 60 seconds. WITH combat logs you can look at why you are dying. If you see one of the DPS people is doing 1/2 or less of the DPS, you can ask him to step it up, get another toon, or to kindly leave. The point is, you know where the problem is. WITHOUT combat logs the group is over. Would you really rather a group disband entirely, vs having it be successful?
