  1. Well, after hearing the news from Kotaku, Dulfy and other sources including here at Bioware. I feel that we might end up seeing that SWTOR will become in the end, just a legendary game been put away in history. Similar to how Star Wars Galaxies ended up. Which will be a real shame. However I will not dismiss the opportunity that this game can still provide in the near future. There was talk about a possible new expansion for SWTOR, which I do remain quite sceptical about and there was some rumours floating around the future for the game as well too. In all honesty, this is how MMOs live and thrive, and sometimes take a dive and die in the end. Its not a pleasant feeling. The game does provide a lot of good things though Great Storyline for all characters (Singeplayer) Interesting results for both light and dark side choices Some of the Operations (raids) and Dungeons were fun PVP has been alright Space fighter combat has been alright Great modification customisation on outfits and designs. Graphics are high detailed and looks very clear on the game engine they have Free to Play and Subscription are both optional (depending on what you need it for) However we know that Bioware over estimated the gamers and the supply and demand back then was a harsh lesson from launch till now. But the free to play model is still worth it, perhaps a new approach is needed and Bioware/EA would need to follow on their strengths and turn their weaknesses to their own strengths as well too. Ever since Disney and EA had a bit of a falling out over the Star Wars franchise (Mostly on Battlefront) I think we are beginning to see a pattern here. If EA were to lose the Star Wars license agreement, we could lose SWTOR as well too if you think about it. However if Disney were to take over SWTOR and start redeveloping the game in a new approach using with or without the help of Bioware, perhaps we will see something different from that side of it but who knows. There are so many things going on with this game and it isn't funny, because if we do find out that SWTOR will come to an end, it will crush a lot of people's love and passion for the game. This is all up in the air at the moment, and I hope SWTOR will continue on for a bit longer and I'm sure it would but this would call for new tactics of approaching the gaming market. The problem with the gaming industry just like any other industry is that when you have too many competitors on the field, you need to play your cards right and approach it differently in order to keep the audience with you. In this case, after reading through the upcoming 2018 roadmap for SWTOR I still feel somewhat perplexed and in the middle of it all. I do want to see good things happen for the franchise, but I don't want to see the game fall apart either. What I have seen in the game in the past 2 years, a lot of guilds have either fallen apart, disbanded or no longer available. The friends we have made over the past have either moved on or disappeared without a trace, that's the nature of it all for online gaming. Bioware could potentially have two focuses going on for making the game singleplayer with the option of multiplayer function for doing online raiding etc. However we already have that except I've been finding the single player has been more fun in the past but having fun with others is worth it too. I am disappointed to hear what is going on, but I hope that SWTOR will move forward regardless of what we had been hearing.
  2. Definitely something needs to be added. I was very impressed with the trailers we have seen thus far however there is something I'd like to see changed in the game as well and possibly be taken into consideration. I also would like to see the option for us to acquire the old gear just like what we saw in the Outlander Trailer for the Jedi Knight's Verpine gear. I know its available on the vendor but by token only/ raid drop in TFB and would like to see a new option that old set gear can be made available to you on either the cartel market and/or basic coms. Considering how many countless hours of gameplay we do, I think it would be a great investment to make the old gear available to you as a full set so you can acquire it. Yeah sometimes finding Ops can be an issue in finding people but for the solo player (like myself) I would like to see us given the chance to acquire such good looking armor sets as well too. Me personally, I want a variety that I can choose from. I can go with the grinding for gear but would like to see something like this happen in the near future
  3. Sadly the glitch has replicated itself across to different instances and locations. Belsavis and Voss are experiencing this as well, but it seems to be camera angle related. Same with Rishi but Yavin is doing okay though, Maelstrom Prison and Foundry were experiencing the odd NPC disappearing and fall through the floor technique. Not only that, the Operations like Ravagers second boss that the blue circles were not appearing correctly. And the problem is occurring on both Radeon and Nvida cards, and sadly when I bought the GTX Titan X the other day and run into SWTOR seeing it like in this state. I know its not the video card and its drivers, I'm going to be raising its either something to do with the coding/programing and design on the server side that has implicated on this frontier.
  4. I'm not sure what happened but when I had the conversation with Revan on the Maelstrom Prison, the dialogue is completed and towards the end, Revan was still there and had the glowing icon above his head. I spoke with him and it completed the whole quest instead of having to go to Telos.. I thought that was very weird as he had himself in a pose that indicated he was still inside the locked stasis chamber.
  5. Hey guys I think there is a bit of a problem with not enough heads up on the advertising side of things for SWTOR. I think that your email notification outlining what's happening per month is a good idea and perhaps you should send out more updates and notifications. Same with utilising Twitter, Twitch, Facebook and the forums/website here I'm not seeing anything planned for April as yet or the coming months for this year, still in the works and no updates? Doesn't make us feel better. Come on SWTOR team chop chop, we need you guys to be proactive and feed us updates. So Bioware you need to let us know with what your plans are so that we can come along to the events and have more fun but at the moment it just feels like there is a barrier between us. Easter is coming around the corner and its a 4 day weekend? No plans for double XP weekend (except for the one one went past through recently) that didn't give myself time to sit down and do anything. Bit of a shame really but if you guys are planning on another Double XP weekend with a vast variety like Bounty Hunter, or Rakgoul event combo, hell that would be cool. What I'm going to suggest Bioware is make it available for the Double XP weekends more often (for the long weekends or season holidays) I'll be disappointed amongst others if you guys don't do the Double XP weekends on the long weekends, example Easter. Amongst the people who I have spoken to on game, we believe that it would attract more members to level up their characters for the endgame content. The 12x times XP boost was great but had a lot of flaws in some ways but if you do Double or Triple the XP boost for the long weekends you'll find people would not only level their characters by doing the PvE but getting themselves involved on the PvP, Starfighter and of course if you included another event like Bounty Hunter or Rakghoul or other things like that. It would build up the community and keep people motivated. and the community in terms of
  6. Hmmm. Why the hell they did that? I'm seeing this as well
  7. Hey guys, I was browsing on Youtube recently and it looks like the content for the upcoming patch 3.2 was unleashed and with the whole storyline for all classes for the Rise of the Emperor. I have to admit I thought that whatever is on the PTS you were supposed to keep it yourselves before making it live. Did we suddenly change that to make the spoilers go free online now? Looks like the WHOLE content has been unleaked. Was this even given permission to do so? I don't see it. Here's a good example now
  8. Hey Bioware team In the past you had Jolee Bindo, Bastila Shan, Carth Onasi weapons which I do consider them as unique items but would like to see them made available on the Cartel Market because there would be some people, including myself would be interesting in collecting them. Yeah they were available to collect back in the days of Rakata... Tionese... Columni but come on, we need them back for fun. I do also have a suggestion to bring our Revan's lightsaber, the only closest lightsaber that I could find that looked like Revan's lightsaber was the [Lightsaber of Inexorable Defense] but given as a reward item from Taral V and Maelstrom Prison. I was wondering if there is a possibility of having Revan's lightsaber available on the cartel market as well, I don't see any way for a crafter to learn the schematic for it and tried out completing the Sith side, that design of the lightsaber is considered unique. Is it possible to make it available somehow?
  9. Hehe, well whenever we see bugs on this game I say features.
  10. Scaling being an issue? What do you mean?
  11. Making SWTOR as an offline game if it were to finish up would be nice to have but I don't see that happening as I prefer to play the game as it is right now. Hell if the game gets to like 100GB to download I'll be like YAY we made it awesome, then they would have to tweak it down and accommodate us in the end but look history has proven that Star Wars Galaxies was a great game as well but when it got shut down there was only fanbase servers, nothing official anymore. So what would happen if SWTOR were to go down that path as well? Lets not speculate any further - SWTOR will thrive and will move forward. KOTOR3 has been rumoured for months, years and pure speculation to the point that I'm sick and tired of hearing that. The trouble with making the third KOTOR was you had the two leading characters Revan and Exile gone out venturing to find the Sith Empire and when they did. Read the novel of Revan, its enough said though. However even if KOTOR3 were to follow around their legacy or be based on another group of people, it wouldn't have the same feeling. KOTOR1 really was like all the old trilogy films as best described embebbed into one game and had something meaningful and driven within the storyline itself, whereas if you look at KOTOR2 even though based on another group of people it was just as good but the ending of that game was left short. Even though it was a cliff hangar moment, we get SWTOR. When I first heard about SWTOR I was excited and disappointed at the same time but also had mixed feelings on where Bioware/EA would go with this franchise. Nowadays I still have mixed feelings but the concerns I had earlier were swept away. SWTOR is getting slightly better but we need more content to see on what will happen next for those who love endgame content or storyline. If KOTOR3 were to be made - question is in which direction would they go with it? There are too many possibilities, hence in an MMO sence you can have that on SWTOR. Watch the impacts and be realistic with your own decision making.
  12. I have a suggestion about in regards to the planetary quick travel points that needs to be amended. In terms of the legacy side of things its good to see we have the common daily locations like Black Hole, Oricon, Rishi and Yavin available only if we choose to buy it through Cartel Coins or ingame credits. But I'm going to be focused on addressing the Quick Travel functionality system we have in game atm. Rishi is unavailable on the Quick Travel from fleet or the other planets. That makes no sense. I was going to suggest a cut down version on the menu. For example. When on Fleet and stand around your class terminal before going onto the ship, you click on it and see a short list. One menu for "Pre 55 Dailies" > then user clicks on it and displays Ilum Section X Black Hole Czerka Makeb Oricon Back (goes back to the main menu) Your Ship (goes back to your ship) Then on the other menu showing on the list showing "Revan Legacy" and then listing the planets Rishi and Yavin on there Having a long list of planets on there may look nice and all but if the games ends up having 20 planets on a 27" screen, not everyone has that. I was thinking that to keep it nice and simple, group them up to certain categories.
  13. I was wondering about one thing was the Gree Event supposed to have come out earlier in the year or has that been postponed for now because of the new content that's being released next week? Its bit annoying that we can't go and acquire tokens for the Gree Vendors at this point of time when we really need any of the Main or Off Hands.
  14. In my personal opinion for the glitch that has occurred, I was astonished about it but recall Dread Fortress and Dread Palace glitches? There wasn't any news really focused on that frontier and will admit that their will always be someone out there wanting to exploit the game but I find this situation quite ridiculous. I understand on the people who have been exploiting on the game should be punished - to what extent? Are we talking about long or short term bans? Removing of items? Rebuilding of characters? Ban a week or so? Loose subscription for a month? Okay lets back track here, Bioware and SWTOR Dev team, when you released the game update for the new ops run can you honestly say that you did test the ops runs and reconfirmed that there was no glitch of any kind whatsoever? Remember there is a big difference between your own servers for testing and having it on a live server and testing it. Bare in mind Bioware the problem resides on when the update was released, did anyone check and reconfirm the operations side of things and ensure that there was no exploits. If this step was missed, and can happen, I know this from experience... clearly its at fault within your side and not the players. If the fault was at your end, acknowledge it by moving forward and rectify it but not burning other bridges along the way. Remember that there will always will be some players who will try to exploit the game continuously and those should be punished based on the TOU, but for those who didn't realise about this exploit and participated should be punished however not as harsh sentence. However I think a compromise can be reached here, considering we all want to have fair gameplay here between members within this community, what I'd like to see is a fair punishment but allowing players to return to the game, furthermore the exploiters who took it too far by excessively doing it every day/week should be handled with the appropriate ban that could be unable to subscribe for a month or two, account locked down for a month but if the client is unco-operative to the terms and conditions of getting the account unbanned, further action would need to be taken. Also you can downgrade all the items and unlearn the profession where the players would need to relearn that crew skill again. I'm just throwing out ideas here. The alternative is reach a compromise where Bioware and team will reassure us that from here on in that they will ensure that any further updates will be thoroughly tested before release and when released that the live servers will be tested and confirmed that everything is working fine again before releasing it to the community to login. And for the accounts that were found exploiting would be given acceptable bans of two weeks or less, warnings about exploits and have their gear downgraded to 186's or 180's, just saying. What I see is that on the one side we do have a lot of loyal fans within the SWTOR community who believe in fair play but under consideration of this fair play, look at the exploit problem its tearing the community apart. Yes people should not have done it, but under the court of law what Bioware did was they released the content and didn't realise before it was too late that an exploit happened with one of their content. Therefore it was an invitation to treat for us to check it out the new content and exploit or not, it was already given to us and falls under the responsibility of Bioware to quickly resolve the issue which could have been resolved there and then, but remember the timing was unexpected. Bioware, fair enough if you want to punish people for it but just be mindful on how you're going to do this. It will cause further tension that's for sure. That's my view.
  15. The expansion was well done so far, however I'm puzzled about Revan's fate. I'm not convinced that he's dead or not because it implies we fought the Shadow of Revan :S I'm still confused. What's the main focus of this expansion if the plan was to kill the lead character off.
