  1. I like compensation as much as the next guy, but I wouldn't hold my breath. ^-^a
  2. Are you a subber? Cause...while I agree with you in some ways, I look at the restrictions on f2pers and preferred and...some of them just make me shake my head and go: "what...really?"
  3. From what I've been able to observe from the player base. -New players are mostly happy just to play (some of them are okay with the restrictions others not so much). Hard to tell though since f2pers can't post on the forums. -Former subs HATE the restrictions. And for good reason. Even trial accounts didn't have that many restrictions. Since f2pers don't have a voice of their own right now, I think some of us will have to speak for them. -Subs are on the fence with some being sympathetic to the freemiums and others going: "don't like it? Get out." I'm a former sub and I DO understand why they went f2p and I understand some restrictions are necessary. But others... Come on, do we really need to be nickel and dimed for things that even trial accounts had access to? I can only hope that some of the restrictions get removed before it ends up damaging the game. But... I'm not holding my breath. Hopefully I can keep playing while ignoring the restrictions to a certain extent.
  4. Yeah, I'm having the same issue. I hope it's an emergency maintenance to get rid of some of the restrictions. : D ....... Probably not, but...I can hope can't I?! ;-;
  5. Nope. No matter option you take, you kill Needles. Kind of a dick move after you promised to bring them all back alive...
  6. When talking to a companion who can be romanced, just always select the flirt option. Eventually, the companion will respond to your advances. As for NPC romances...to the best of my knowledge, those are all one night stands. I'm not entirely sure if your companion will be pissed about you flirting around, or if they'll even know.
  7. I managed it. My HP did get a little low, but I worked it out. I just rotated my own CC: Cryo grenade, Riot Strike, Neutral Surge, and Storm whenever I saw them trying to heal each other. At which point, I just focused my fire on one. Luckily, there was a lot of places I could run behind and make them lose their charge up. I was originally planning to just lure them to my allies outside...and then I realized "I got this" and took care of it. After that, taking care of Rakton was a piece of cake. I just hid behind a console whenever he tried to charge up and threw everything I had at him. Worked out pretty well in the end. Ended up killing him with Storm + Gut. It was satisfying. And then I executed him. Because he killed Jaxo and I tell myself that he had an indirect hand at making Havoc defect (even though he was never mentioned in it) which in turn forced me to kill Wraith. So I just...THREW ALL OF MY PENT UP RAGE AT HIM!!! ALL OF MY HATE!!!!!!!!!! >: ( So yeah...no mercy from me. Not this time. I gave Rakton one chance to surrender (because my Trooper is a good guy like that), he didn't take it, so I killed him (Because my Trooper is also a ******). I was all out of kindness at that point.
  8. I heard the same thing. From the looks of it, she's gone no matter what choice the Trooper makes. : (
  9. So...this is a huge spoiler about Jaxo in the Trooper's story. Don't read if you want to keep it a surprise. . . . . . Okay, I think it's fine to start down here.
  10. At first, I thought I was crazy. But yeah...prices really did go up by quite a bit. :/ I can kind of guess at the reasoning. But I do wish the lvl 20 PvP gear prices could be lowered...just a bit.
  11. /signed My opinion on this... People in this thread against the petition, have been preaching on about 'choice and consequence', how the game isn't only about the romance aspect, or how people are just being whiny *****es who are acting like spoiled children who's parents didn't get them the right toy. To which I call, and excuse my language, ********. Yes, in real life, you can never accurately predict the outcome of the choices you make. Will smoking this cigarette give you lung cancer? Most likely after a couple packs. Will you get hit by a car if you cross the street? Maybe. Will this guy you want to date be a complete douche for the rest of his life or will he change later? God no. But you know the differences between that and the Jaesa romance? 1. This is NOT real life. 2. Even if you decide to pick up smoking, you ARE aware that it'll probably do terrible things to your body later on. This is not the case with Jaesa's romance, there's no warning signs. This is less about a bunch of people pissed that they chose the wrong option after knowing full well what would happen, and more about the misinformation around Jaesa's romance. Now you could say, 'well other companions have negative reactions to decisions you make so you can never play exactly as you want' well, this is different. You can buy your companions affection back no problem. Therefore you CAN be a complete sociopath throughout the game with Vette in your party, and still be able to buy her affection back. As far as I know, there are no choices in the game that cause your companion to leave permanently (not sure though). With that said, there's no item you can buy to change Jaesa from one alignment to the other. To the best of my knowledge, there was absolutely no hint that Jaesa's romance would be locked if you chose to make her a light sider. You HAD to make her a dark sider in order to have any semblance of a romance with her (but at that point, she...kind of loses her appeal and it's a little creepy even for me). And...unlike other Bioware games, you can't reload an earlier save to change your decision. You can't take 5 minutes to go back, redo the quest after playing with a light sided Jaesa and make her a dark sider just to romance her. Nope. You have to reroll your SW to romance her. And unlike KotOR 1 and 2, this game is significantly longer. So the idea of replaying the same story twice is like someone deleting the save file on a painfully long game once you reach the final boss. Believe it or not, some people DO play for the romance options. And don't gimme that face you're making after reading my last line like you can't believe it or that some people just need to go out and get a life. It's no different from the people who just play for the PvP. The point is...everyone has their reasons for playing. So don't look down on people who consider the romance aspect a big part of why they're playing. ------------------ Now then... This has been brought up several times already. But Jaesa's locked romance can be counted to her still being a Jedi. To which other people have said; "But she's NOT a Jedi anymore, she's abandoned the Jedi code. Not to mention, the other jedi romances in the knight and consular story do in fact break their codes for your character. It's not completely unreasonable to think that just because she's a Jedi, her romance should be locked." I think one of two things should happen: 1. A light sided Jaesa romance dialogue tree should be added. Or at least change the dialogue at the end of of Jaesa's light side story so your SW has the option to say something along the lines of: SW: "Well if you're looking for someone to be the father, look no further." Jaesa: "I'd like that." (I've heard that the convo can go like that if you haven't married Vette, but I'm not entirely sure about that so don't take my word for it). Of course the dialogue wouldn't be that crappy, but it's a start. It'd at least make the Light siders feel like; "Hey...maybe there's romance in our future after all?" 2. Put up some kind of warning that says: "THIS IS A VERY IMPORTANT DECISION! IF YOU MAKE THIS CHOICE, YOUR ROMANCE WITH JAESA WILL BE LOCKED AND YOU CAN NOT CHANGE IT!" This way, at least people won't be pissed later on when they find that a light sided Jaesa can't be romanced. Heck, if you don't want to make it that obvious. Have your SW consult his crew about what to do with Jaesa, make one of the dialogue options comment on how he'd like to romance her and then have one of the companions chime in that: "I don't think Jedi are supposed to take lovers, but...if she goes down the dark side, maybe she'd be more open to it? I don't know boss, your call." ------------------- Bioware will most likely add more content as the game gets older. So here's hoping that they decide to put in some light sided Jaesa romance...or at least a warning sign before making Jaesa light side/dark side. /end long post
  12. Alright, I've drawn a metric s**t ton of fan art in honor of what could've been. So I think I'm, more or less okay now. .... I would still like that pat on the shoulder though.
