  3. UI Modification is #1 on my list. The default bar setup is... ugly and inefficient. I want to be able to resize, move, recolor, disconnect and extend data... move bars where I chose, have more slots, adjust what keys are bound where. Essentially I want Bartender and Xperl from WoW (and mappy). Next would be anything which means data about the current fight is streamed smoothly. At end game this would include damage details, statistics on what abilities are doing what ratio of damage, threat monitoring... It is unfortunate that these things have a bad connotation, in that they are linked with elitists... I simply find them to be very useful in perfecting my own methods. Really so far that's it. UI modification is the #1 priority though.
  4. "Most players did NOT get 5 days of EGA" By "Most" you mean "You" right? And by "Anti-Bioware" you mean " " right? I agree man, it's a tough world out there. Don't worry, we'll be in today
  5. Statistically I wouldn't expect the majority of people to be tied to a group beforehand. I'm not sure of the numbers on it, and I could be wrong, but if even half of people are 'loose' then the staggered system is still ideal. My only complaint is names being snatched up, and thankfully thats really not an issue for me because I don't use common names. I'm sure if I was desperately wanting to be "Haan Solu" , but not a problem. I expected to get in on the 15th, and this has set me back a day... but at least I'll be in over the weekend and not starting on the 20th
  6. Odd, I'm Dec 11... either a unique case, your friend is a liar, or confused. If he's in though, good for him
  7. I think this sums up the whining perfectly.
  8. You know what would have happened if they threw open the gates? DDoS. Endless whining about the login server being smashed, and how the servers were crashing over and over... remember WoW's launch? And they didn't have this many people. Yes, tech has come a long ways, but the real world is still the real world, and a million people logging in at once isn't smooth. This launch as been smooth. Whine less. I'm still not in the game (Was holding out for CE, finally got DDE on 11th) and I think it was the best way they could have done it. They said "Up to 5 days" and some were in 7 days early. It would have been reasonable (but sad) if they had started rolling people in on the 15th up till launch... they were cool about it and started early. I swear, I'm really looking forward to the game being available so I can stop coming to these forums and being reminded at the type of people playing it.
  9. Wife's account is the 7th, she was the last wave yesterday. I'm 11th, still no email Notice went out that the first wave has been out... so apparently there was enough between 7 and 11 to justify a separate wave?
  10. Reasonably they're up to the 7th, so unless there was a massive influx of subscriptions after that I can't imagine it being more than a few more waves. That said, no one knows for certain. It could be they have technical problems and have to stop rolling people in tomorrow, we just don't know. If I were a betting man, I'd say everyone will be in by mid-day tomorrow. However, that's simply based on what has happened so far, not at all based on statements from the company.
  11. boo hoo? Think about this for a moment... rather than DDoS their servers, they do waves... reasonable? And rather than start on the 15th with the waves ("You can play UP TO 5 Days early") they did the good guy thing and started two days early, and have damn near everyone in on the 15th. I'd like to be in the game too... I was stalling off to see if I could find a CE. However I understand why it's staggered, and I'd much rather start tomorrow than I would on the 20th. Are you honestly going to pull the childish 'but IIIIIIIIIIIIIII DIDN'T GET IN WAAAAAA" nonsense over this? Are you unable to see why they staggered the invites, or are you honestly blinded because you don't get your toy early? This isn't just directed at you, half of the forums sounds collectively like the children of terrible parents. Barking about the injustice of it all because they rolled invites rather than simply letting the servers be inaccessible for a week. Refuse to understand it and be pissed rather than patient if you chose... it changes nothing and says a great deal more about you than it does the company.
  12. To thread maker: Thank you for sifting through and organizing the information. It's a bit of a shame the dates aren't included in the released data, but reconstructing the information is damn good of you to do. To whiners: May your video cards burn out, the replacements are lost in shipping so that you can't even log in until new years... but unfortunately karma isn't real.
  13. If there was any justice or good in the world every one of you who claims they intended to quit would do so. I hope your motherboard burns out.
