  1. 'I'm a game developer. I have 8 years of experience in professional game design at BioWare Austin, and now I'm working on an independent project.' from his linkedin. Sad to see 2 great devs go, they delivered a lot of amazing content.
  2. Yeah so get your guild or whatever and make sure the 7 other people avoid those guides its been done before. Beta invites are handed out so there are less bugs when it goes live and to provide feedback on the tuning of bosses. The SOR fiasco would have been much worse without testing. I understand where you are coming from, it would be annoying if you wanted a 100% blind approach however with the rise of swtor becoming even more casual no one has time to sit in a sm hm or nim and sit around wait for people ( who all could learn at different rates along with the skill gap) to grasp the mechanics and after 1 hour only get a few pieces of loot. It just doesnt work on a casual/mass scale
  3. For once I find myself nodding at one of your posts. Reno plz stop this madness But bump for Eric cause I know how much the community manager loves trying to communicate with the community.
  4. Yep but some people dont look every day or scroll past the 1st page. To be fair this is a sub forum, they want to make a thread they can Im glad you have an opinion however you can do that already, you can go in blind if you choose to do so. Most progression raiders do that anyway when new content comes out; would be cool to see again if new ops ever come out its highly entertaining to do and watch. Most people write guides however for the community, if someone is new to the scene and they dont have a guild to run **** with they pug; most pugs dont want wipes right....so there lies the problem with I wish no guides existed. Along side that the fact its revenue for some, you wont get people to stop wanting money
  5. Yeah they went from 8 class stories to 2 faction stories (ROTC) to 1 story from 2 different POV (SOR) to 1 story with 1 POV. Its sad to see BW couldn't even give some of that renewed focus on story to another faction story at the very least.
  6. They have no evidence cause they are lazy took me 1 look at his twitter to see he enjoys MMO's and looks like he is actively playing WoW and GW2 among single player rpgs. I dont particularly get why people think him playing other MMO's takes away from his reviews key points though lol. Guess the fact he plays a game that develops endgame and story at the same time is a bad thing to some people on these forums Pretty sure he counted the so called endgame for solo players Star Fortress in the 8 to 10 hours. But if not then yeah lol even without spacebar the story aint 8 to 10 hours LOL. And EA/BW still want to string subs along till august
  7. But theres so much endgame to do! Good luck and you will be missed. Plz take Thrax with you
  8. At the end of the day NIM is about playing to perfection, executing things flawlessly as a group. And only few bosses in this game offer that anymore even in nim. Its not all for gear, but it does feel like a slap in the face when you do all that work and get rewarded with a lower item than a faceroll op that you can under man and ignore mechanics on. To most nim raiders gear is just another reward on the side, gearing up alts is a fun thing to do then you can bring them in and get them mounts and titles however 4.0 the only thing new that was added to nim or hm was decorations and there's only 9 decorations lol, no new mounts or titles that are character exclusive. Every nim raider left already has the titles and mounts from nim, they already have the decorations. Whats left is gear, might as well actually reward players doing the hardest content in PVE with some gear since nothing else is new or worth grinding. Like i said right now its kill the nim boss one time in 4.0 and thats it, no need to revist it unless youre selling it. We enjoy killing hard bosses its as simple as that. Story players get rewarded with companions and soloable endgame options, pvprs (although in a sad state too) get rewarded with items and titles at the end of a season, nim raiders get what? the same items that have been dropping for 2 years now? amazing.....
  9. Sigh...........Its hard to even comprehend how out of touch the devs are with their community. The fact it took 6 weeks into the expansion to even get a clarification on a dev post made at the start of JULY is beyond logic, its like devs dont even work in the same building. The fact that the highlighted HMs can be farmed and undermanned by almost every level of skill player in this game is sad but handing out 100% drop top gear and making NIM the much harder and ultimately the goal for anyone who likes raiding only having a % chance at top tier is sickening. The fact that nim doesn't drop anything new mounts or decorations wise to give those who are capable of killing bosses at this level little to no reason to do it once they have killed it in 4.0 one time. When my team killed brontes and council only 1 out of the 8 people didn't have wings on their character they brought, there's no reason to run nim aside from the one and done clears. And getting rid of EV/KP nim because they weren't up to scratch with the other nims was fine when we all thought nim was 100% drop of 224 but why remove them if you always intended to only have nim as a % drop rate and then make them highlighted to drop 224 gear lol. Each difficulty having a tier was a completely fine and good way of gear distribution and you could even do your highlighted HM idea its fine BW but theres not a whole lot of logic in this move with nims aside from rigging your metrics that you pride yourself on. Just cut the ****, no one appreciates being ****ed over, and no one appreciates waiting months for replies on standard questions. I dont expect to hear another word from a dev about operations or well group content at all until august so might as well enjoy the 1 story for all 8 classes and f ap over the fact players will get to plays as HK for a whole 20 minutes. Ty BW for the laughs and showing you are just as much a joke as your story is.
  10. Agreed, their own fault for the backlash though lol. hype something up like they did you better have something to show. The silence hurts them even more, communication would do a whole lot to alleviate some of the anger and frustration their silence causes. A good Q&A with questions that cover all aspects of the game would honestly quell most peoples anger.
  11. 1) Don't know, probably ran out of dev time to implement that feature, they did it for a lot of other things, feels like SF was meant for solo players too. An oversight by them for sure but probably wont be changed any time soon. 2) level 65 pve gear you cannot buy singlular mods anymore, they come in pieces (chest, legs etc.) so for your common data crystals you can buy a headpiece which will have the armouring, mod and enhancement in them. PVP vendors i believe you can buy mods there, so if you pvp that could be useful. 3) probably will open up in the later chapters of KOTFE. Once again would be an oversight to not expand this area. 4,5, 6) Definitely all annoying, might be fixed in upcoming patches but doubtful. as for 6) might be a measure they take against credit spammers but who knows. Doubtful a dev will reply to you so hopefully others chime in on the stuff i cant help you with
  12. to answer the OP: Nope Would rather they spent their amazing crew of 3 and focused on some content outside of KOTFE or a silly side mission that most people wouldn't bat an eye at.
  13. Dont see a single answer to any question ERIC PLZ My question is can you give us any and I mean ANY information about the future of group endgame in this MMORPG? E.g. new operations, flashpoints, pvp maps? srs a little statement like 'quarter 3 or 4 for a new operation' would put a whole lot of angry peoples minds at rest with a small amount of communication.
