  1. I was thinking randomly, as I went to a trainer on my newest character and it donned on me. I'm rather shocked that there isn't at least a couple 'ability quests'. I mean, because learning something iconic like force lightning (at least at first) seems a little...under explained to me. I mean, I recognize that I am going through training at low levels, but never has that training been actual training. I remember ability quests from WoW and they were horrible and daunting, but with the immersive depth the story in SWTOR is I'm kind of surprised there aren't ability-unlock quests for major abilities. It seems a little strange to me that without instruction (other than unrelated quests/tasks) that I spontaneously learn to force choke or lightning without input from my master.. I don't feel this is a game breaker, personally, but I was indeed curious about whether or not the developers considered this and if they did what was their reason for not doing it? It just seems a little less story-centric when I am lacking the Yoda and Skywalker style training session(s), especially with that being such an important scene. Anyway I could get some Dev input? Much obliged
  2. Why is everyone behaving like SWTOR is circling the drain and barely staying afloat? Yeah I'm sure they lost a few people to the short endgame, but seriously? Patch 1.2 is a great set of changes. This game is still brand new. What are you growling about? SWTOR is fine, it is a great game and they're certainly not going to go under. Everyone acts like this had to be a fully developed game long before it was released. Not a single MMO [EVER] was fully complete upon release, and shouldn't be. Chances are if they focused so much on end game, leveling would be a dragon. I for one enjoy growing with the MMO. It is at its core so great that I'm more than happy to play until the precise features I want are released, because I'm fairly certain at some point they WILL. You guys have this picture perfect image of WoW on release because WoW had no real competition at the time. WoW was a leap forward (in its time), just like SWTOR is a leap forward now, but when you leap forward you are going to have to skip over a couple things and come back to them later. I see no fatal flaws in SWTOR that won't be fixed EVENTUALLY. Certainly nothing worth ignoring the game for eternity over. Ranked WZ will come, Dungeon finder will (likely) come, and we will all find something else to demand. These things take time. Have some patience. I feel like most of you guys are hitting the entitlement wall so hard you're about to start ************ at infants for taking 9 months, and how much it inconvenienced you for them to do so. And on a side note, this rampant non-stop "**** I'LL QUIT MY SUB IF YOU DONT APPEASE ME" **** has got to stop, because at ONE POINT that was a legitimate statement that a company would actually act upon, but now that you've all used it like a school yard friendship termination threat--no one is buying it anymore. Our loyalty used to be a bargaining chip with companies, but now that all the 13 year olds who don't even pay for it have begun complaining because they don't have a purple tauntaun mount they think they deserve no one takes that statement seriously anymore. Its in nearly every complaint post I've seen. Its old and you're wearing it out for the people who actually mean it and want to draw attention to their concerns. So knock it off. If you REALLY intend on cancelling, then just do it. Stop making six different troll trap posts. State your concern, your desired outcome, and act accordingly. Thank you for your time.
  3. Found a decent guild, but because all content is cleared in a day and I can only make 2/3 raid days--I'm more than likely on a perpetual bench. I was assured it wasn't a huge deal, but there are apps and **** getting spots despite the fact I'm always first to down my boss on the council encounter, usually by a lot.
  4. gearing up is just less creative and fun. I don't mind doing dailies for that 'sweet mount' or for that last piece I need to be Barney--but looking for dungeons is tedius, dailies are the worst thing to happen to MMOs ever, and it shouldn't be such a huge leap that I would HAVE to do dailies to get Rakata implant/earpiece. Should cost less and be t1.5 imo. Especially since PVP gear is MUCH more interesting to farm, as well as easier, and it is nearly as good--albeit just nearly It is easy to gear, but its just not creative or interesting. I wouldn't mind the standard dungeon crawls for gear if it wasn't such a pain to do. Yeah, I could reroll one of the golden specs (tank or heals) but why would I want to stop playing what I enjoy just so I can progress?
  5. Gearing up past the initial point is boring. Dailies for Rakata implants are boring, but people are starting to require it to raid. I wanna do flashpoints but doing them as a dps is tedius because everyone is spring loaded to respond with split second timing and even if I do make it no one wants marauders. Please for the love of God implement a dungeon finder, so I can actually DO these flashpoints you're churning out. I haven't even done half because I could finish two in the time it takes to put ONE together.
  6. It is high time you stop letting mercs roll on my strength medium armor. Especially since I can upgrade them and use them indefinitely supposedly. Come on.
