  1. Just logged in and saw this on my character too.
  2. On the last day of my sub I would like my dying words to be, "Thank you, Dulfy!" arrrrgghhhh ....
  3. Because without them, chapter 10 would have taken 15 minutes.
  4. Heh, our guild has about a half-dozen or so members making the same move. See ya for the Shatterer sometime.
  5. FYI - You had a typo in your hyperlink. Fixed link: http://www.remnantsofhope.com
  6. If story is the only thing you care about, I suggest saving your sub until all the chapters are completed and then do them all at once.
  7. Well, now that you're all big and grown up I suspect that in the future you will actually read things like terms and conditions before you buy a product and won't be surprised at things that are rather plainly stated from the beginning.
  8. We cleared it in HM on Tuesday night after patch and didn't see any issues like what are described here.
  9. Sadly, the new direction of SWTOR with KotFE does not justify a monthly subscription anymore. While I can appreciate that SWTOR wants to differentiate itself from other MMOs with its focus on story and friendliness to the solo player, it has done so at the high expense of grouped content. Also, for a direction that is “all about story”, it has less of it than ever before. There is only one new story with minor deviations regardless of class or faction. For me, the storytelling in RotHC was actually far superior, providing an interesting angle from the two different factions with each contributing to the entire picture. It could be played just as easily with friends as it could be solo. So now on top of LESS end game content, we actually get LESS story that happens to be designed in such a way as to make it prohibitive to do in a group. The little doses of above average story content does not justify a monthly fee for an MMO. It has to be repeatable story. KotFE would only become repeatable by dramatically increasing the variation of the story or making it fun to play with friends. KotFE fails very badly at both. The latest release of chapter ten was an exercise in frustration and I do not have the will to complete it again. The combat design is atrocious. It is not challenging to have scripted aggro pulls with constant slows and enemies that can shoot from a mile away – it’s simply annoying. Each additional chapter of SWTOR’s new direction feels like it was done on the cheap with the most unimaginative ways to artificially extend playtime. SWTOR has some very special qualities and I have fond memories over the laughs I’ve had with friends from conversation outcomes. Working together to complete new content was very rewarding all the way through the Dread Masters. If SWTOR ever decides to return its focus on making enjoyable grouped content again then I’ll likely be back. Until then, I’ll be spending my MMO money on a game that isn’t ashamed to be an MMO.
  10. 5/10 It's a companion alliance quest with additional cutscenes and a nice choice-and-consequence twist at the end that is dragged down by excruciatingly annoying combat and simplistic quest design.
  11. Take care, Scarlet, and thank you for being a positive contribution to the community.
  12. It's because of the possible romances from the flirt lines. Can't have other players infringing on the all important dating sim mechanics.
  13. You're not alone there. I have moved on to other games for grouped content with my friends and my sub is hanging by a thread due to some progression raiding we still have left to do, but that won't last long. It's not simply the lack of PvE end game, it is the movement towards making grouped content overall cumbersome to do, or in the case of leveling alts, inconceivably unchallenging (solo is bad enough). I'm not going to judge it stupid at this time, though. It certainly isn't why I played the game, but as to whether or not it has a niche with the kind of people who are drawn to play an online, subscription based single player focused game - time will tell. It wouldn't be the first time I shook my head at the success of a game I couldn't relate to.
