  1. Thanks. After creating other threads on this board and Gamefaqs and looking into the apps, I bought Dxtory. I'm just running a few tests to get the settings right, luckily I have a spare HDD to output to!
  2. Thanks for all the info and yes, my question was is it a good idea to use characters with the highest crew skill bonuses as they should preform better? Obviously I will needs to give them gifts and have high influence to reap the greatest benefits. It seems that crit skills are more hit and miss though right as in no guarantee? When looking at guides no clear path gives what *I would want so I think I will stick to my plan for now and see how it goes. Getting to level 10-12 on legacy sounds like a lot of playthroughs, hopefully I can get there before I finish all three. It does seem that certain skills are more effective once one reaches level 50 such as Biiochem from the guides I have read. Thanks again.
  3. Ooooh, I think we have a winner! Thanks to all for your advice and personal usage, looks like dxtory has the most customizations which will help me record other games such a the Mass Effect trilogy.
  4. Yes, using multiple HDD's makes the most sense, everyone I have talked to has stressed this. I appreciate the answer. I will probably be using Fraps as that is use what most people I have communicated with use which says quite a lot.
  5. Thank you for the definitive answer. I would have been surprised if one could play multiple times.
  6. It is interesting that some people level through non story quests first. To get rid of confusion before I record I want to know if you can redo the story missions after the story line ends and in doing so I would like real life opinion on what I have read are the three most popular apps people use for recoding games. I ask this as I may just play the game then record during a second play through if it were possible. The only other MMO I have played is Tabula Rasa and I haven't found an answer to the questions stated above. Thanks for the replies.
  7. I looked into all three apps, just wanted personal opinions, thanks for the lightning quick response!
  8. Before I became a subscriber I watched a few storylines of SWTOR and I noticed sometimes the characters were level 50. After your storyline ends can you redo it? I want to use one a the three top recorders, Fraps, Bandicam, and DxTory. And I would like to know anyone's opinions on which is "best" and why? I run the game a full quality with no problem and I have 6GB of RAM 1GB of VRAM.Thanks in advance.

  10. ****SPOILER ALERT*** Hello, I have finished my starting planet as a Sith Marauder and upon looking into crew skills it appears that the game is designed to promote playing other classes. One case is it seems advantageous to use skills that your crew posses aptitude in. Thus, I plan to use the Sith warrior, inquisitor and imperial agent to get the "best of three worlds.' Lieutenant Pierce for cybertech, Khem Val for Artifice, and Doctor Lokin for Biochem. I got a lot of good info from both this board and the one on gamefaqs. plokolplok is the one that gave the most clear cut answers in this thread: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=526671 Is using three characters for the crew skills sound? Thanks in advance.
