  1. Game fixed. I was able to log in. I will post again if anything changes. Thank you for the fix! I'm curious what's going to happen to us subscribers. Will we get compensated for the week+ of game time we lost?
  2. FROM SWTOR DEVS THREAD LOCATED: https://forums.swtor.com/topic/934309-game-update-741b/ In the event that impacted players are able to log into the game when 7.4.1b goes live, we will work on compensating said players for lost game time. I just wanted to say that this problem has been going on for over a week. If I'm not compensated for a week+ of subscription time because of this, then I may stop playing all together. The subbed players need to be compensated for this missed time regardless of if 7.4.1b fixes the problem or not. Not all of us can play every day. Some of us only have specific times and days we can play, and this bug has really screwed all of us out of valuable game time that we PAID FOR. So, losing 25% or more of the subbed time we've paid for (and that's only what we've lost SO FAR) is already unacceptable and should be compensated. The upcoming fix shouldn't determine whether we get compensated or not. That should be a given. So, I don't understand this statement of if the bug fixes the problem then people will be compensated. It should just say, "We will work on compensating (or we WILL compensate) players who have been effected by this bug." Period.
  3. My game isn't located in that same folder thread. In fact, I don't have that file, "_PlayerGUIState.ini" in my SWTOR game folders at all. At least when I searched the folder it wasn't found. So, I don't know. Thanx anyway.
  4. UPDATE: Turning outfits off on all of my toons didn't work. I'm still freezing on the splash screen. *sigh* That seems like it was a HUGE waste of time now (36 toons I think) lol. But since it helped some people I would suggest everyone try it. It might work for you but it didn't work for me. That's just how my luck always works.
  5. That's what I'm thinking. My son finally woke up so I'm gonna try turning my armor outfits off and see if that works but my suggestion was, until they fix it, to just turn our outfits off when we log out or switch to another toon after getting it to work. That is IF it works.
  6. Interesting. I don't think I have the Reforged Mandalorian Hunter armor though. So that may be it for you or maybe it's having too many special armors activated at the same time. So if we switch back to "Show Gear As Outfit" on whatever toon we're playing on before switching to another toon, maybe that will work. I will log in on my account on my son's laptop and turn all my outfits off and see if it works for me too. I'll update in a little bit. Thanx.
  7. UPDATE ON MY SITUATION: My son recently bought a brand new, top-of-the-line gaming laptop with NVIDEA and GEForce cards, etc. I was able to log in to his account AND my account. I turned my latest character's outfit to show the gear he was wearing since I saw people mention that in this thread but it did no good. I still can't log in on my laptop with Intel Graphics. If it is a computer issue it's still on SWTOR to fix it because we've been playing with these machines for months/years with no problems so there's no reason that a new update should stop us from playing on these same machines. So, Devs, FIX YOUR GAME! PLEASE!
  8. Not for me. When mine freezes it also crashes. So the splash screen gets a transparent white haze over it and an error window pops up saying the program ran into a problem and you have an option to close the program or wait but waiting does nothing as it's literally crashed.
  9. My main server is Star Forge. Still unable to get into the game. Freezes on splash screen. We better get compensated for the days we've missed because of this.
  10. Same. Is this EVER going to get fixed Devs? I sincerely hope we're compensated for the days we've missed on our subscriptions. Because this is garbage. All week we've been unable to play while others are playing no problem. FIX THIS SWTOR!!!
  11. If you check the other bug report thread about this issue you'll see that many people, including myself, have called support and reported this issue. They ARE working on it. That's what the patch was for this morning is my guess. That's why the servers went down last night. They're definitely trying to fix this problem, guaranteed. It's still BS that we have to deal with this but I'm confident that they're trying to fix the problem. Cause the problem is on their end. It's not a graphics issue. It's an account issue cause some people can log in on brand new F2P accounts they just made but they can't log in on their main subscriber account.
  12. Tried this. Didn't work. Deleted client_settings file to see if that would work (like it did when I had this issue a few months ago) and no go. Did the patch this morning and still crashing on the splash screen. They really need to fix this and they need to extend subscriber's subscriptions to compensate for the lost days.
  13. Same issue. Played fine until the update. Subscribed player, playing on a brand-new HP laptop, Intel Graphics, updated driver from Feb. 2024, freezing on splash screen. I had this issue before after an update and deleting the client_settings .ini file fixed it but that's not working this time. Tried it, no luck. I called Support and they said that they know about it, many people are reporting it, it's an issue on their end and they're working on it. I gave him my login display name and verified my email so I could be on the list of accounts affected by the issue. There's not much else we can do but that and wait and hope. So, just adding my name to the list. Thanx to @Keirowyn for the info below: If you're experiencing this issue, at this point I'd suggest you contact support to log a case cuz it seems to be account-related. 14. Greetings. I am returning to SWTOR after a long break. I am using a new HP laptop with Windows 11. The game played beautifully for about a week or so and then the other day it just crashed. I restarted it and now it constantly crashes on the splashscreen/loading screen after clicking "Play" on the launcher. I'm using the game launcher directly, not Steam. I have gotten numerous suggestions on the answers.ea.com site but nothing is working. I tried uninstalling the game and reinstalled it but that didn't work either. All of my drivers are updated, my firewall and virus protection all have exceptions to allow the game to play, etc. Can anyone help me with this please?
  15. I was logged into Star Forge server, went on multiple toons, went AFK for 5 minutes & returned to all the servers down. Developer Tracker forum said this: "Hi folks, Our servers are currently down to fix the Priority Objectives not progressing bug. We'll update you when the servers are back up. Thanks for your patience while we resolved this issue." That was like an hour ago though. I was playing after this post was made. Odd.
