  1. I've gone back to pick up some of the achievements and found several that say I have completed the task although I do not have the achievement. I have not checked all the achievements, which would take several hours, but the three I have looked at are contradictory. I have completed all the Sith Inquisitor achievements, but only have credit for 74%. The one I supposedly lack is killing NPCs with Xalek. However, I went to the achievement list under Xalek and every one of them is listed as complete. The achievement apparently never updated. A couple of achievements on Rishi look the same. Exploration shows 45/255 complete, but under the individual achievements, all show as complete. Story Missions is the same, with 210/220, although all story mission parts show they have been completed. Unless I am missing some hidden achievement, I don't understand this. I have not yet reported this as a bug because I wanted to see if there were more like it. I only do achievements when I'm between chapters and wanting something to do, which is why I hadn't noticed these before.
  2. Same problem with synthweaving and armormech. Haven't done much with the other crew skills yet--still leveling the skills by making components.
  3. *sigh Should have known this would degenerate to PVP against PVE, although it's not the worst argument I've seen over these two aspects of the game. All I want is a different option to getting certain companions, not necessarily an easier one. PVP'ers like PVP, so doing PVP is not a problem for them. PVE'ers like PVE. Different routes to the same thing. Is that so hard?
  4. You do not have to do the world bosses for Qyzen. I got him by hunting down Jagganath Worthy Prey. It took about 15 or 20 of them, but I didn't have to do the World bosses. I really would like to see a different way to get some of the companions here and there. Have both world bosses and single prey items that get Qyzen shows it would work. Maybe some other quest for us PVE types to get Pierce would help. Not sure what, other than go in and wreck the Bastion for him.
  5. So to get Pierce, I have to do PVP? Which I have never done? Is there no other way?
  6. I have a ton of the various experience boosts (exploration, war zone, social, you name it). The only two I ever use are the major and minor experience boosts, and those are the only two that ever sell on GTN. Could we do something different with the others? Make them useful? At least make them something we can vendor? Get rid of them and substitute something else?
  7. I have a ton of experience boosts in my bank along with old gear from the cartel market that I had on companions or that I replaced with nicer looking stuff (can't bring myself to throw them out). The only ones I use and/or sell are the minor and major experience boosts, but what can be done with the others like social, warzone, etc.? And, of course, the armor is unsaleable. It would be nice to be able to at least vendor them or be able to re-engineer them for mats or possibly something else.
  8. Apparently, I have inherited a guild and become guildmaster by default (WOOHOO! my own guild bank). I am having some issues figuring out the guild commands, however. I finally got the ranks sorted out (and I fully intend to kick inactive members after a week or so), but I've got a minor problem. I can't get my alts into the guild. Solution found: invite my son into the guild and allow him to invite my alts. Another problem found. I can't figure out how to do it. He tells me to right click his name, which I did and found no option to invite him to the guild. He also said I could simply type /ginvite and then his toon's name. Ok, that said, now we get to a third problem--he uses some odd vowel markings so he can have the names he wants. I can't figure out how to type those blasted vowels. Go ahead. Tell me I'm an idiot. But tell me what to do.
  9. WAIT!! It's a B and B (one bed and beer). GET OFF MY FEET!
  10. I'm too old for camping--ya'll come over to the inn for the hot tub and hot buttered rum. Promise not to drop the laptop in the water. Or you can just fight the mosquitoes--your call. *Waits...and waits....and waits.
  11. Actually, "perfect gentle" would be derived from Chaucer's "parfit gentil"; Chaucer came first, and of course, gentle here refers to the aristocracy, as in gentleman, gentlewoman. And I'm glad to see a new post. Forget the Dr. Pepper--where's my bottle of petite syrah? And the hors d'oeuvres?

    Above all

Enjoying this quite a lot. It will be interesting to see where all the threads intersect.
  13. But why would you want to? I quit playing my fem!smuggler because Corso was just too creepy for words.
  14. Popping more popcorn--and getting the party trays loaded up again. Nice work integrating Taris--that was a tough world.
  15. Just to say, I got into writing out my characters' stories for much the same reason--the options (LS, DS, neutral) don't really fit either character or situation. The worst have to be on Republic side. I kind of see my Jedi Knight, for instance, as somewhat impudent, thoughtful, politically aware. Naturally, no conversation choices for that occur. Poor guy--has a terrible time being himself. Even if the choice looks possibly impudent, sarcastic, or generally snarky, it comes out something else entirely: "Yes, Master, the force be with us all." You get some hints of humor--for instance, on Alderaan, when Orgus Din threatens to fire him as padawan if they get eaten by the Killicks, and when the Knight has the option to tell Angral's apprentice that he doesn't need to see him, he can smell him. (And the apprentice makes some comment like, Gee, you make me want to actually get to know you. Pity I have to kill you.) My real problem with the entire set up is the lack of subtlety: Empire evil! Republic good!. Complexity is what stories are about. If you want black/white, right/wrong, character is unimportant. Bioware seems to have been aware of this. A few of the story lines do show the possibility of that sort of complexity (agent is the most obvious, but you get some of it in the trooper as well). I suspect Bioware might have been stymied by the requirements laid down by Lucas, but then I never thought Lucas was much good at character development. They probably also ran out of time. Developing a storyline like the agent's would have taken a lot more time and programming, which game developers often don't have. To get back to the point, your story pleases me because of the complexity. It's not just a retelling of the warrior story, but an expansion of it, filling in the gaps. I like it very much.
