  1. Honestly the thing which attracted me to play this game in the first place is not that its a SW or that its an MMO but that it offers Bioware storytelling experience, so for me the story is number one aspect for which I'm interested in this game and which is here done better than in any other MMO I have played , even tho as an also MMO player I do understand the importance of other multiplayer aspects to for it.
  2. I would like to see two separate stories , one for each faction if we cant go back to class stories. I hope how the new expansion will not be in length of the content which could be considered in some MMOS just as a content update. Would be nice if we would get in it : new planets to explore, new daily areas with the reputations which would reward us with some cool items for which would be worthy to work on, several new flashpoints with maybe added timer options for master versions and difficulty scaling ( BW should look what Blizzard did with mythic dungeons in WoW and just copy that concept here ) , 2 - 3 new fully fleshed raids and 1 new warzone.
  3. Darth Marr & Lana Beniko and to some degree Darth Malgus & Darth Acina, those are all very complex characters which cant be branded as one dimensional pure evil sith .
  4. You said it right, this all is just a matter of the personal preference ( opinion ) . For example while I think that Jennifer Hale is great voice actress and that she is doing excellent job here in TOR with Satele and I know for a fact that a lot of the players in Mass Effect trilogy made a female Shepard because of her I belong to a group of players which preferred the performance of Mark Meer over hers there. When it comes to the actresses voicing the female SI and JC I think that BW accomplished with them what it aimed for. The voice of female SI sounds just like what its supposed to be and it represent in a good way a posh character, deceptive, pragmatic, cold and calculated when its needed to be while consular sounds wise and calm and both of them can sound emotional to in the right moments for that. I like the story and VO of the SI so much that I even made over the years two high level sorceress. And if you don't like the female VO my advice for you would be to roll a male character since he has a good voice to and it would be a shame for you to miss on a such great story. For consular I prefer much more the voice of female one even tho the male one is voiced by much more known actor in the gaming world Nolan North who voiced Desmond Miles in Assassin Creed series and Nathan Drake in Uncharted.
  5. I just seen this thread and I wish you best of luck and lots of fun with whatever you will do from now on Penny. You have earned my respect for your posts and arguments on the forum behind which was always a good reasoning and from which it wasn't hard to get a picture how much you are actually caring about this game and how you wish to see it improved in all aspects. Sometimes it is a good thing to take a break from the game ( speaking also from my own experience ) and return after a while for a fresh start when you get a temptation for playing it again and once you see that some updates and fixes for it which you wanted to see got rolled on.
  6. This mount I got in WoW, wish I would have something similar in TOR, check the idle animations of it and how its changing colors which is awesome :
  7. Currently I use the most : https://torf.mmo-fashion.com/scavengers-luggerwahl/ https://torf.mmo-fashion.com/ashfall-tauntaun/ https://torf.mmo-fashion.com/kukri-subjugator/
  8. I support this, and am surprised how we still don't have strongholds on one of the most beautiful planets in the game. Alderaan has always been my favorite planet in TOR.
  9. I meant on lots of things like : maxed out affection for companions, titles, some of the items I managed to gather over time , maxed out gear for character, professions, etc... . So yeah sometimes just rerolling is not worthy.
  10. I feel your pain OP, the same thing happened to me with my sorceress in which I invested a lot of time. There are even several threads on the forum about this problem and the way how BW handled poorly that scene in KOTFE : http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=846257 http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=847669 I'm hoping how BW will give us the second chance in the future expansions for some romances or maybe even an optional tool with which we will be able to reset the story flags in the game since I don't wish to trash my character with all the accomplishments I have on it because of this.
  11. This are some characters which I would like to see turned into companions eventually : 1. Revan 2. Jakarro 3. Darth Malgus 4. Satele Shan 5. Darth Marr 6. Darth Decimus
  12. Several reasons contributed to the current situation with SWTOR : 1. Players getting into the game with the wrong expectations than leaving it because they weren't meet, some expected from this game to be heavy endgame centric treadmill game ( basically WoW in SW universe ) while some other expected sandbox type of the game made more in the way of the SWG when this game was neither from the start, it is a story driven MMO which main ingredient was always story and all additional parts are addition to it and its the one which is focusing more on the journey than the endgame. 2. The lack of the experience with the multiplayer games in general before even getting into the venture of creating MMO on the BW part. BW for a long time didn't realize how MMO player base is consisted of various groups of players - one group might prefer raiding above anything else, for the other PvP might be the part which they like best, third group might be more into single player content over the multiplayer part ( collecting stuff, story and the questing, exploration ), forth group might be interested mostly for a small type of the challenging group content ( flashpoints ) and the fact how if you neglect for to long any of this groups the players from that group become disgruntled and leave your game. So preferably every content update should be consisted of some content for each type of those groups. 3. The engine - Its not secret anymore how this game struggled from the start because of the engine, which is hard : for updating, working with, for removing bugs and which is not really optimal for large group content as Illum has proven. 4. The EA - which has proven not just with this game but with some other MMOS how it actually doesn't understand what it means to run MMO, that they are never ending projects and how if you want to have good results from them how they require constant work and support and reinvesting money into them ( which companies like Blizzard do understand ) and how you cant put them into near maintenance mode and than expect from them to do good. 5. The IP alone can keep games afloat for some time sure but it cant keep popularity of the games for to long, otherwise games like SWTOR , Lord of the rings online and Star trek online would be more popular than WoW , Final Fantasy XIV and Elder scrolls online but they are not.
  13. This is actually better, I don't want to bother besides gearing my characters also with gearing up companions with stat items. The companion customization should remain purely cosmetic.
  14. I play both sides on the Darth Malgus server and from what I noticed they are both equally populated. I agree with the people which said on this thread that for most part imperial story is bit better done and has more interesting characters than rep one. From animations standpoint I would say that I like my sage better than sorceress, because it has more varied ones and on sorceress I got bored of all the lightning spamm . I have to say tho how I enjoy now game more when I experienced the storylines from different perspectives than I was when I played only one side for a long time ( the imp one ).
  15. I tested recently HK 51 and as tank he sucks because he doesn't have an aoe taunt ability which most other companions do have and as dps he is performing poorly and is at the bottom of the dps list, any companion with dual blasters & Shae will easily out dps him which is kinda sad for such special companion which requires effort to get in the game. Please BW fix him.
