  1. Man is this dead wrong. You really think people aren't enjoying PT because they play the class at 30m? They aren't enjoying it is because they're getting global'd by better tuned classes. PT hasn't been tuned in 3 years. But oh sure mate, just charge into 4m and wreck.
  2. nah not really, lowbies and mids are not end game activities. low level pvp is a means to an end which is max level. if a game encourages staying at a low level instead of finishing off that character's progressions, something is seriously wrong...

PVP is stale. no one cares that there are new maps coming. you need to rethink your approach to appeasing the pvp community. 1. give us better ways to reward the majority not a niche ranked minority (i.e. prestige ranks with added rewards) 2. focus on changing the meta. listen to your community and nerf whats obviously op and buff whats severely under powered. class balance in PVP should be a priority over PVE due to the competitive nature of playing against real people. 3. improve the matchmaking so there is an even amount of healers and tanks on each team. incentivize playing healer and tanks if there are few in the que (i.e. an additional command crate at the end of the match kinda like WoW)

If you played PT before it was nerfed, it was a beautiful mid-range class that had insane burst potential close range, while being able to keep a decent sustain up while kiting to mitigate dmg from melee classes. They nerfed the range, which made apparent a severe deficit in defensive cool downs. Pre range nerf, tankier powertech, would make the classes borderline perfectly balanced with this current meta

They make no sense and are inconsistent with what the PT/VG forums have been requesting for the last year. we need more defensive capability Nerfing us by getting rid of our 30% while stunned and replacing it with a laughable 6% DR is such a slap in the face. 1. hearing people say bw doesn't care will not stop me from asking for clarity on the forums. thats what they are for. 2. pvp is one of the main pillars that keeps this game going and in this instance, the nerf to PT's defensives changes nothing in PVE, its specifically a pvp nerf so why bring up that argument?

  7. What I've noticed for the past couple balanced changes is that it seems the developers do not balance around solo ranked, nor should they. So taking that into consideration an APPT along side a healer and a tank is pretty balanced already so I'm guessing thats where they are coming from, they don't want to give PT too much of a defensive buff because if they are paired with a tank and healer, they will be slightly op because of their burst potential. However, right now even with a tank and healer, APPT is underpowered if you compare it to other melee classes. So here is my suggestion for re-balancing APPT. 1. Return our range. Mag Blast & Rail Shot need to be 30m. In this meta, everyone has a gap closer so re adjusting our range would not be an insane buff, just enough. 2. The new Prototype Armor needs to be adjusted to be higher and reworked. how about you need to crit in order to increase your defensive instead of getting critted? but 6% is nothing. Oh yeh, you need to definitely cut the bs out and give us back our 30% dr while stunned. 3. Increase Kolto Overload to 60% like mercenaries. To much burst in this game to take it seriously right now. feel free to add your top 3 as well!

  10. I q solo and win most of the time or at least enjoy myself cause I’m Beating people 1v1 in some cases. If I’m on my own I tend to guard and win the 1v1s. To those people upset its not the fault of the premade it’s the fault of the player base. Most people suck these days. I’m good enough to carry or at least not feel like I’m being carried. When you’re put in a group of ****ters, it’s rough. But no, no solo que. be better, if you don’t have time to play the game at an optimal level, you risk not having the benefit of a team by your side.
  11. think before you post. juggs and maras have very balanced dcds for their classes, pt's do not. thats the point of the post, no sorc whining here just facts.
  12. It's no argument that advanced prototype is one of the easiest rotations in the game. So what about dmg mitigation that occurs in the rotation and not in big in your face dcd's, so for example staking energy nodes also increases dmg reduction? Or maybe you either spend the nodes on either energy blast or a new ability that increases dmg reduction further or makes our shield stronger. Or maybe a procd railshot debuffs the enemy's dmg potential. There is something about marauder or juggernaut where other than enraged defense, they have a fair consistent amount of dmg mitigation that isn't overwhelming to me. I never feel like i'm going to burst them down in 1 rotation but i also don't feel like its a daunting task to kill them. Thats what i wan't for powertechs especially if Bioware considers them melee range.
  13. Don't want to rush too much but I feel like alot of the salt in 5.0 hasn't been from dmg numbers but utilities. I feel like it would be well received if the dev team could go ahead and start communicating with us what changes will be coming to class utilities and then move to patching those in asap.
